Swaledale Butchers has mixed reviews from my experience. I've had a flawless delivery before with high-quality, well-packaged meat, ready for the freezer. Unfortunately, another time, my order was mishandled, with no notification upon delivery, and left in the sun, forcing me to cook it all immediately. While the meat quality can be excellent, delivery consistency and customer service could use improvement. Overall, an average experience with room for better reliability.

Thank you for your feedback. However, we have no record of receiving or fulfilling an order for a customer under the name Fredrik, nor have we received any correspondence regarding such an order.
All our customers receive a shipping confirmation email, followed by a one-hour delivery time slot notification directly from our courier, DPD. Further tracking and delivery information is also available via the DPD app. If this information isn’t received, it is usually due to incorrect email or mobile number details provided at checkout.
If a delivery is successful but the goods are damaged, we kindly ask customers to report this to us as soon as they realise so that we can address the issue promptly.
Regarding your comments on our insulated packaging, it is worth noting that perishable produce can only be dispatched with DPD following rigorous independent temperature testing. These tests have consistently demonstrated that our packaging maintains safe temperatures, even in summer conditions.
If there is any way we can assist further, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.

Sausages are a world away from supermarkets and the average British high street butcher.
Cotechino is perfect.

To clarify, all our meat is vacuum-packed to ensure maximum freshness during transit. This process can sometimes result in a misshapen appearance, but this is completely normal and resolved once the product is unpacked.
Additionally, your order travelled over 53 miles through the DPD network. Some movement of the contents within the box during transit is entirely expected and reasonable. Our packaging is carefully designed and tested to keep your order secure and in optimal condition throughout its journey.
We appreciate your understanding and hope you continue to enjoy our products.

I have tried a number of different perform Swaledale Butchers and each one has been sensational.
The meat is quite simply the best I’ve ever had from Lamb to Pork to Chicken and more.
The selection is really very good and delivery is quick and well packaged.
The team obviously gave a passion for what they sell and offer r pert advise if needed.
I only wish I had discovered these guys sooner.

Beautiful meat, safe & reliable delivery
My first order has just arrived as expected, on time and without a hitch. The meat all looks amazing, and is beautifully presented - all labelled clearly, and ready for the freezer without me having to repackage. The ice packs were still well frozen, so the packaging had clearly done its job. So, whilst I'm always a bit wary of ordering meat online, I have to say that I'm well impressed. Ten out of ten from me...😊
