The ability to have them visit you at your home was especially important to me as I hadn't used my bicycle for 3 months due to recovering from a surgery. He swapped the bicycle and was very helpful and friendly in ensuring the replacement bicycle was set up exactly as the previous one.

Before the check-up, my old bike was difficult to ride, and I believe the tires were quite flat (I haven't visited the store for a fix or check-up as often as I should have). The difference in the new bike is immediately noticeable.
The staff member who assisted me was super nice and professional. I especially appreciated their effort with the language. They initially spoke English, but when I attempted to speak German, they were happy to switch, which was very helpful and encouraging.
During the check-up, the staff member quickly identified an issue with the brakes. Because of this, they immediately provided me with a different bike, which was an excellent solution.
Having Swapfiets is genuinely a great service. It makes me feel much less worried about maintenance, especially since I don't know how to fix bikes myself. This peace of mind is the main reason I value the subscription.
Thank you for providing such a reliable and customer-focused service!

The appoitment took place on time, the maintenance service was quick and the attendant was nice and attentive. So in general, it was a good experience.

I had my annual check up, the Swapfiets team seemed quick and efficient. My bike had a problem with the chain, so I received a new one, which is not brand new, but rides better. I am happy with Swapfiets.

If you miss a payment, you receive an email informing you that you have 7 days to pay, or else the bill will be forwarded to debt collection agencies.
Ok — sure, that’s on me — let’s pay? Nope!
They don’t tell you which exact day is the last day.
I assumed it was 7 days from the email, but they counted the day the email was sent — meaning I missed it by one day because of terrible communication :(
The last payment date isn’t specified in the app either.
If I had money to spare, I wouldn’t have rented a bike in the first place. Clearly, they don’t care about or understand their target customer group.
Service in Berlin is a disaster. Literally no one there speaks German or English fluently. They couldn’t even explain how the bike functions properly. I had to take two test rides just to figure things out and ask about specific features.
I had already noticed it’s not exactly a comfort bike, but decided to give it a try anyway.
But the red flags were warranted: the Power 7 bike is a health hazard — very unreliable in steering, ground contact, and brakes.
Obviously, I cancelled.
Better accident-free than charged with more fees.
