The process was simple and easy. It took just took me few minutes to apply for my tax returns

Didn't make any difference. I even made a list after paying for the service. If you can navigate Elster then do it yourself.

Tax submitted for 2024, 9 October 2025, as of today 16 March 2026 no answer from the "expert" risking to pass the time limit

Taxfix SE services in Miramar Fl are great at doing taxes no matter how complex. I have been using their services for the past 4 years and has no complaints. Karroll Ann Fanfan and the staff in her office are knowledgeable, friendly , patient etc.I truly recommend anyone to try their services.They have the options to see them in person or remotely. They facilitate both options with a safe portal to foward tax documents prior to your appointment.
I really recommend Taxfit.

Easy to use , before taxfix i never submitted a tax declaration but since i found taxfix i do it every year!

Taxfix is very easy to use. I have used TaxFix a couple of times and got the returns as expected.

Why they need to charge subscription fee when you already paid for the tax return fees. Not recommended

Thank goodness for Svetlana, my last accountant decided last minute the day before self tax deadline that they was unable to do my return. Which as a anxious person sent me into a meltdown

I was then assigned with Svetlana who called me straight away and went through everything with me and it was all completed within an hour. She has honestly saved me so much stress and time.

Svetlana was so easy to talk to and really explained everything to me in detail to help me understand my tax. Can’t recommend her enough.

If you have a very simple tax return, this service might work, but frankly, simple returns are easy enough to do yourself on the HMRC website with a quick Google search.

My experience with the "All-in" package (costing £170) was frustrating and misleading:

Hidden Limits: The service is not truly "all-in". After uploading my files, I was told I had exceeded a 20-document limit and had to create my own summary sheets. Even after reducing the count to 15, I was told that holding shares jointly with my wife fell outside the standard service terms.

Wasted Time: With the self-assessment deadline just six days away and repeated requests for summary sheets of data collated and uploaded. Then being informed my situation (joint account with wife) exceeded the standard service. I was forced to give up and file the return myself.

Poor Admin: The booking system showed availability, but my accountant cancelled via email after I had paid. I agreed to rearrange, but then heard nothing and had to chase them down myself.

Verdict: The administrative chaos and hidden restrictions meant I wasted hours of time and £170 for a service I couldn't use.

Misleading “£169 all-in” pricing

I’ve been a customer for three years, but this year’s service was awful.

I paid for a consultation and was told I was entitled to split-year treatment and a potential refund. I then paid the advertised “£169 all-in” fee, only to find it covered a very basic calculation. I had to challenge the accountant twice before they even acknowledged my entitlement, and was then asked to pay another £170.

To make matters worse, a refund was initially processed without my consent.

This is misleading pricing and poor service. All in all, a very disappointing experience.

Had a great polished quick professional experience from Accountant Lillian Skinner . She provided a great service . 5 stars no complaints.

My only concern is the platform software of Taxfit does not pull through the correct information and makes some wrong assumptions.

I also have to start submitting quarterly tax returns from April and as yet they do not have an offering that helps me with the new rules which is causing me stress so I am looking elsewhere . But I can’t fault Lillian Skinners service grade A and she was very responsive to me .

The initially filed amount of refund was much higher than the amount finally approved by the tax office (already 2 years in a row, 2023 and 2024). Taxfix does not provide any follow up what was accepted and what was not by the tax office. This would be very useful, as I would appreciate to be able to understand the reasons for lower refund and maybe to correct some errors in the next tax filing.
