Everything went really smoothly. I got a similar value to the one calculated on the app.

I submitted the tax on my own , but technically it went again to the lawyer again. I have send multiple emails to get it right there was alot of issues faced while submitting although i have been submitting tax since last 2 years

It is nice that I was able to complete the tax assessment without needing to interact with a tax advisor, but the "chat-like" interface is quite unfriendly when my wife and I want to fill in the data in parallel. Also, sometimes I don't have access to some questions, so to reach them, I need to fill in some dummy values that I edit later.

I also had a very good experience just now using Taxfix. The only area where I feel it could have been improved was in the explanation of "voluntary" income, which covers side income that does not exceed 3000 Euro in one calendar year. If I did not already know that I had to declare a one-time payment from my teaching contract, I would have never reported this under "voluntary" income, because the meaning this word suggests something other than side income. Taxfix should clarify this or change their wording in this section.

Other than that, I found this process extremely smooth and mostly stress-free. I would definitely recommend Taxfix for other foreigners working in Germany!

I’ve been using Taxfix for years and was a loyal customer — but my recent experience has left me seriously reconsidering that loyalty.

A few weeks ago, I submitted my tax return using the Tax Advisor service. Out of nowhere, it got rejected with no explanation. The email said the reason would be shared, but weeks later — still nothing.

So I decided to fill out the return myself. After finishing everything, the platform was still confused — it showed a tax advisor assigned (“Ken”), even though I didn’t use that service this time.

On top of that:

The email links to track previous tax returns don’t work.

The feature to view submitted answers has never worked, on either the app or web.

Overall, the process felt buggy, unclear, and unreliable — especially for something as important as taxes.

This whole experience has been a mess. Taxfix seriously needs to fix these issues. There are now plenty of alternatives on the market — and switching wouldn’t be hard.

I never thought that it was that quick. I even got higher than expected tax return. It blew my mind. Just for three weeks I got it all the money. Thank you tax fix. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. I will definitely recommend you.

Great experience with Taxfix. Their product keeps improving year over year, and it really turns a cumbersome tax declaration process into a rather straightforward and smooth experience. Well done!

Seamless experience for doing tax return in Germany

Easy to make

I had great experience with Taxfix prefilled tax returns. I am using it from last 3 years and it's easy and most of things will get filled automatically. Prediction of tax returns you can see while filling itself.

Great service. Easy to fill and send. All steps under control 5 stars.

The taxfix app is the option I made to do my returns.

The service is great and convenient, was easy to fill, would definitely recommend and refer friends.
the only drawback is that you have limited options for filling some specific details

Taxfix used to be savior for expat like me, not anymore!
1) While filing joint tax with your wife, it still chage s double, while others provide discount
2) they once introduce a expert advice, with one time 129€ per tax clreance, after few month they scrapped this option. Now have to give 99€ & mighty 20% of tax return. Crazy
3) They do not have Abfindung manual entry option (terrible)
4) The flow inside the app so messy, sometimes its impossible to edit! poor user interface

My verdict: Okay if you have simple tax returns case and still prefer English. But there are so many other competitor, Taxfix seems outof fashion

Excellent service

It was very easy to submit taxes with Taxfix

I love TaxFix and have been using it for several years. Its intuitive and relatively easy to use. Its quick and I always get the refund within a few weeks. I have removed one star as they don't support all expenses (such as supporting family members abroad).
