So I got a letter from the IRS u might else well set up payment plan once u make a little bit more money they sending letters out. It’s not worth it to go thru them waste of money. It’s stopped for awhile then here goes the letters taking ur property or garnishment or putting a hole on ur bank account. Please be careful I should have just did payment plan lesson learned

Tax Rise was extremely misleading in what they could do for us. They charged us $5,000 just to have IRS put us on a payment plan which we could have done for ourselves. Warning** Please do not use them!!

I hired this company May 2025 for $8000. Granted, by the amount of the fee you can tell I have some unusual issues that are far from normal. My first red flag should have been when I was informed that I’d have a team working with me rather than an individual. Working with a team has been nothing but time consuming and more than frustrating. I have to explain everything over and over since I have spoken to the same individual maybe twice as to where an individual is already familiar with what’s in your file and doesn’t have to rely on someone else’s notes. The second red flag should have been speaking to Grace more than anyone,….I will say that is by far the best AI I’ve come across. It does take a while to figure out that Grace is AI, she’s just that good. Everyone including Grace is very nice, courteous and polite, too polite to come across as genuine. They all use the same catch phrases which is irritating. It’s been 14 months and I’m still hoping to get this resolved. If you prefer working with one individual rather than a team I recommend you go elsewhere. If you get irritated with AI like I do, I definitely recommend going elsewhere.

SCAMMERS!! RUN!!!
VERY inexperienced. HARD TO REACH. All they will do is negotiate a payment plan or change the one you already negotiated and did not want changed! Poor communication among their teams. No one seems to read the file notes. They charge a consultation fee then charge upfront at least 15% of what you owe the IRS. When they fail to do what was originally discussed, they tell you what MOST clients want is reduced payments and refuse to refund your money. Save your hard-earned $$$ and talk to the IRS yourself or call a tax litigation attorney! I'm still fighting with these jerks!

Talking to Etic was very comfortable and informative.After only talking for a few minutes I new this was the right decision.If the rest of your team is anything like Etic you should be getting more great reviews.

I want people to know that tax rise is not a good company to go through I in the very beginning it was good and then after they got my money to help me with my taxes I could not speak to a representative I had to figure everything out myself I had to go through their AI which is Grace and she it does know a lot of things but I could not get a hold of any person no human being to help me with any of my stuff after they got my money and I had to figure everything out myself this company is not a very good company to go through find another place trust me.

Samar, led me through the process of filling out the tax organizer so well that I understood it completely. I am now able to finish the other 3 years without his direct help. he was great, patient and had answers for all my questions which is kind of shocking. he is a keeper so don't lose him. We decided to hire Taxrise to file our taxes. We paid them for several months. They never filed our taxes and insist on us continuing to pay them. We are begging them to finish the job and we will make more payments.
They again continue to ask for more money without doing absolutely any legit work. When you call them you get an AI answering machine.
It was a big mistake!!!!
We want our money back!!!!!

They made it very easy and stress free.
Rigoberto started the process with me. He was quick to respond and very friendly and helpful. He turned it over to Jason Miller. He was efficient, friendly and helpful. It was so easy and quick and kept waiting for the other shoe to drop.

TaxRise charged me $2575 to 'negotiate' a payment plan I could have negotiated myself for $0. There was no reduction in penalties, interest, or balance owed. They did nothing for us. And now we still owe the IRS over $20,000 and are also out the additional $2575. Would NOT recommend.

I paid $3000 for help with my taxes, was told they could possibly reduce the $14,000 I owed. Have not heard from anyone since April, received a letter from IRS stating a payment plan no reduction in taxes. I could have done the pymt plan myself and saved $3000. I still don’t know the outcome on my state taxes and have been on hold with Taxrise for a representative. The first person I talked to could not help me. DO NOTUSE TAX RISE

My experience speaking with Julia was very positive we were able to correct a situation about my back Taxes. Working with Taxrise has been a positive experience and gave me piece of mind in a stressful situation.

This has been the most non communication company I have ever worked with. We are 1 yr in and I have no idea what is going on. You don't get communication with a "tax expert" you get office staff. They got my 5k and crickets other than if I call and when I do what do I get asked for my husbands death certificate which they have been told numerous times he passed in 2020and they can see my transcripts showing widowed single. I am beyond disappointed and still making monthly payments for what!

They’re the biggest scammers. Told me that I qualified took my $500 deposit. Called me today and said a bunch of BS.

Omg A.i.....hate that they use it. All they did was lie and take my money and left me worse than I started. Don't even get me started with Monterey the financial company they use to finance the help you are looking for. I understand that nothing is free but they definitely didn't perform as advertised. Literally had to do my own work to try and get my tax bill lowered.
