Added 10 cent card, it snuck in a $15 version instead.
added a 10 cent card to my cart. Was on the fence about the card but for 10 cents I figured I'd pick it up.
after checkout, found out somehow it was replaced with a $15 foil version.
This same thing happened with a $5 card that was replaced with a $25 foil version.

I bought singles from this site a bunch…
I bought singles from this site a bunch of times. 90% of the time it's been a good experience with great prices. The only time I got ripped off was from buying a champions path Charizard from a seller that said it was a NM card, but it was slightly damaged. Not the sites fault, but they can do a better job with complaints & making things right with Scammy sellers.
It’s a scam
It’s a scam. They take good cards out of packs then reseal. I got a vmax crowbat and a crowbat v from seperate single packs, and a cinderace vmax and a cinderace v from seperate single packs all in the same purchase order… tell me the odds of getting two pokemon (bad cards) of the vmax and v types from 4 seperate single packs all in the same order. Plus an order I had a week ago had all resealed packs. It’s a waste of money hopefully the people just stop using the site or else consumers will continue to be scammed
Never received my orders!
I ordered in some cards but only 4 of the 20+ cards ever came through. I'm still waiting for them to show up, and if they do I'll give a better rating, but for now I'm quite unhappy.
Wonderful service!
Great customer service and service all around! I have been using TCG for a while now without any hiccups, when there was at last an incident with USPS losing my package. The staff were very understanding and kind throughout the process! In the end, I got the cards I wanted and the satisfaction that I am supporting an excellent and caring company!
Not the place for collectors
This website is for people who intend to play the tcgs instead of collecting. First of all, it is not an option to contact sellers to request pictures of cards to verify condition to make a more informed purchase. There is no option to contact sellers until an order has been placed with them. Second, sellers rarely follow their condition guide. Either this or they are just ignorant. I have had to return multiple orders because of condition issues. The listing will state "near mint" and I will receive a card with whitening and scratches all over the back and front. One time I received a card with such deep scratches that it should have been instead considered damaged. If you care about the condition of the cards you are buying, this website is not for you.
No longer a good marketplace
I recently attempted to purchase a couple boxes of Pokemon cards from TCGplayer and the entire experience was nothing shy of atrocious. After I placed my order, I got a package in a fair shipping time, but I got what was obviously nothing even close to what I ordered. The seller sent me about $3 worth of Panini basketball cards, which I have no use for. I immediately contacted the seller, who never responded to me at any point and still has not to this day. TCGplayer messaged me back and immediately began making excuses for the seller, saying they were, "having trouble sending messages." That lie didn't even make sense, seeing as they said they had contacted the seller. It was also an automated reply, which was a red flag to me. I researched the seller's shop and reviews and found that he was a known scam artist. After contacting TCGplayer again to inform them and asking for them to refund me, they sent me ANOTHER automated message, this time asking me to wait 12-15 business days, for the item to arrive, before messaging them again. This was another obvious red flag to me. I messaged them a third time only to get an identical automated reply. Now I was frustrated, so I informed them of how worthless their messaging system is, since it was not helping and I was not getting my money back. This time they actually replied and scolded me for calling them useless. After stealing my money and defending the criminal thieves they call, "sellers," TCGplayer actually told me I needed to treat them and the seller with respect and courtesy. So that's my story. I never got a refund, the correct product, or even a message back from the scummy seller. I used to use TCGplayer a lot in the past, but after this experience, me and my extensive network of people who play TCG's will never use that website again. Congratulations, TCGplayer! You guys stole $49.35 from me, so I guess you win. But now you're going to lose several thousand in future sales!
Do not sell to them
I sent in 20 low to mid value cards as a test and I'm so glad I didn't send anything valuable. They claimed that half of the cards were missing (they weren't) and half of the ones they admitted to receiving they said were damaged (they weren't when I sent them).
Literally useless customer support
Literally useless customer support, Same fees as eBay, no good way to message sellers, no seller protection against harassing buyers, no seller protection, braindead and slow customer service (don't think they even should be called customer service reps, because they don't even know what that means), and an overall terrible platform.
I've been using TCG player direct
I've been using TCG player direct. Foils and card are always NM when you order NM. Customer service is EXCELLENT. They forgot to include an 0.08c card. What did they do to fix it? Give me $6.07 credit so I could purchase it elsewhere (+shipping). I've only spent a fraction with TCG player as I have with other TCG sites and they already value my business enough to do the above. Recommended. We'll be shopping here alot more in future for MTG cards.
DO NOT SELL TO THEM
DO NOT SELL TO THEM. I sold my collection to them and they said half of it was missing (it wasn't, trust me) and refused to send pics or send back what I sent to them. They literally just pocketed my cards worth hundreds. I sold my collection I had since my childhood so I could afford an engagement ring. Yeah, they're that bad.
Been using this company for years Thousands of dollars spent customer service has fallen off
Been using this company for years i’ve spent thousands of dollars recently made another purchase most everything went smoothly except for one seller who never responded. Packages right around 2 to 3 months late. Very slow communication or rather there was no communication very one-sided communication from TCG player instead of working out something to the customers satisfaction they refunded me two dollars which I did not ask for. I asked for the cards that I ordered, 2 wishclaw talisman. there was no acknowledgment of what I asked for or anything else they simply did what they wanted to. Very sad as this company used to handle situations far better.
Order messed up but fixed straight away
I had a order from USA to uk and every card apart from one came I emailed them and within 2 days I had a reply saying they were sending the missing card out which I didn’t expect but I Much appreciated excellent customer services and everyone can make mistakes so I understood, I’ve also had a big order of these before and they didn’t mess up then so must be a one time thing.
Mapped cases and boxes
Mapped cases and boxes. Buyer beware. Seller ForTheWin FTW
They work together and TCG will block reviews and feedback if they are less than three stars...
You cannot trust any seller there. There must be some but TCG will cover the bad ones so is not possible to differentiate them.
THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED!
I ordered a 150+$ list of cards and they some how lost 26$ of it. I went through various emails, back and forth, even showing proof of the charge that was made for said cards. They tell me that it was from previous cards from that list, which is total BS because i meticulously checked off every card after a successful purchase. THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED! THEY WILL SCAM YOU OF YOUR MONEY! I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Was apprehensive about trying them out…
Was apprehensive about trying them out but ordered 30 worth of my favorite pokemon and yugioh singles they shipped fast and packaged my items very well. Definitely will be back again. Thanks!!
