Buyer BEWARE!
I sure wish I had done more research on this company before I contracted with them. I like so many others in this review thread was scammed. After I paid my deposit the cost was changed to be 3 times the original estimate. I cancelled the contract and like everyone else, have lost my deposit and they will not answer phone calls to discuss. I was sucked in by the few favorable reviews that they have received - makes me wonder if they are "fabricated" reviews - who knows?? As the old saying goes...I would avoid them like the plague.
RIP OFF CONTRACT COMPANY
RIP OFF CONTRACT COMPANY! SPOKE WITH THE JOSEPH AND THEIR DISPATCH AND GAVE THEM AN ITEMIZED LIST AND MESAUREMENTS OF ALL ITEMS I NEEDED MOVED, THEY RETURNED THE MOVING COST WITH ALL ITEMS DISCUSSED LISTED.
THEY CAME ON THE DAY FOR ME TO MOVE AND THE COMPANY THEY CONTRACTED WOULD NOT TAKE ANYTHING THAT WAS OVER 600cf WHICH IS NOT WHAT WAS DISCUSSED ORIGINALLY. FOR EVERY ADDITIONAL ITEM THEY WANTED $150 MORE, THEY COMPLAINED ABOUT SIZED ITEMS I HAD ALREADY INFORMED JOSEPH ABOUT THAT NEEDS MOVED, THEY COMPLAINED ABOUT THE DISTANCE, THEY COMPLAINED ABOUT EVERYTHING THEY HAD TO MOVE. THEY ONLY SENT TWO GUYS AFTER I WAS TOLD IT WIULD BE 4 DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF ITEMS, THEY WANTED PAID BEFORE ANYTHING WENT ON THE TRUCK. THIS WAS THE WORST COMPANY. NEVER USE THEM!!!
These people should be put in jail
These people should be put in jail! They will be so responsive and even say you can cancel 3 days before scheduled move. Their contract says 3 days after booking to cancel. Then they will hard pressure you to send a picture of a check to them. I cancelled 2 days later and they will not send me my $600 deposit! Won’t answer my calls! I hope someone with deep pockets can put a stop to these thieves!!! They deserve -10 stars but you have to give 1 to write a review. Never send a picture of a check, ever!!
ABSOLUTE SCAM!!
ABSOLUTE SCAM!!! within the 72 hour time period i cancelled and they owe me $800. no one will answer me!
rip off i gave them a down payment of…
rip off i gave them a down payment of $770 to move me, due to health reasons i cancelled almost 2 weeks prior to scheduled move in september 2023 still no refund
SCAMMERS
SCAMMERS! They owe me $500, like all the other reviews the estimate was one thing and when they showed up it was going to be more than double the estimate. I am still waiting on my deposit to be returned. I cannot believe a company can operate like this and remain in business.
As most of the other reviews.. 3 Brothers is a SCAM!
As most of the other reviews... I TO was scammed by 3 brothers moving... I cancelled the move and now.. they refuse to return my deposite... when I inquired about the return of the deposite, they blocked my number... Real classy... NOT!
Happy to write a review for these
Happy to write a review for these guys😊! I received a quick, polite, friendly, response from Nick who was only too happy to help explain their service and meet my timeline. It’s so rare today to get a call back never mind from someone who is willing to help with a smile. We used these guys to remove our old washer/dryer(x’s2) They offered to clean up and left things as they found them. I’d give 10/stars but can only choose 5! 😊
They pushed the moving day back two days and more...
They changed the moving date 3 days before it was scheduled. When they finally did arrive it was 7:30 pm and I was told that instead of arriving the next day (already late), my belongings in two days. They arrived three days later which caused unnecessary chaos and frustration. A work bench never arrived as well as family silverware and one of my important paintings arrived with a large hole. And the representative who arranged the move hung up on me when I called to complain and figure out what to do.
Do not use 3 Brothers Moving & Storage
I am 66, live alone, and pared my stuff down to nothing before my move. I never knew I would be dealing with 2 moving companies. I thought 3 Brothers Moving & Storage would be involved from getting the moving estimate through the move, but I didn't find out until the movers arrived this was not the case. The estimate by 3 Brothers was made to get me to buy into using them. The actual cost charged by the actual movers was 89% higher than the estimate. (The estimate was $2,000 and I was assured this would be realistic, but the actual charges came to $3,225.) So, 3 Brothers got a big piece of the deal, the moving company calculated too high a square footage for me, and they got a hefty pay day too.
OH MY
OH MY, Lots of bad reviews on this company. My girlfriend just hired them and after jacking their price mid move, they still havent delivered after one week of waiting and no return calls. Basically they are holding her belongings hostage.

This company subcontracts without…
This company subcontracts without letting the client know. My bill moved from $2300. to $7000. Only one person spoke english and no one was a proffesional mover. They charged me for storage although the contract said 30 days free storage. They charged $650.00 for wood crates but all my machinery was in cardboard boxes. A total disaster. Do not use this company.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they are scammers and will rip you off every chance they get. I have them one star only because I had to in order to write a review. I hired them to move from Fl to TN. I booked them 3 months in advance and the day before the move they changed the pick up date! Then they had another company MILLER MOVING COMPANY, run by EUGENE MILLER who scammed $1080.00 from me. Also didn’t put my furniture together correctly and EUGENE MILLER was extremely rude, aggressive and threatening. I was never told that my belongings were going to be handed off to another company. I have moved several times during my life time and this move was by far the worst moving experience I’ve had.
SCAM ARTIST
i hired them to move my stuff from va to las vegas. they subbed my stuff out promised me a delivery date to get me to sign for their subs to tell me they wont honor a signed contract date. i called my bank after being forced to use a ach transaction and cancelled it since they wouldnt answer the phone they even screened my calls multiple times they turned my ach debit into a check and signed my name without permission... charged my account 1900$ on top of everything they are refusing a refund even though they couldnt honor my contract and didnt move my stuff they are also trying to charge a account off a check for a additional 950$ my move started at 2200$ and went to 6000$ by adding a fridge... they are a scam and very crooked i went with them for the price and because they are veteran owned. well ill tell you this theres no veteran i know that will treat someone like this or scam someone like this.
Scam
Scammers! I had mistakenly hired this broker for my move. The broker hired 1st Start, they had several “sister companies” they also operated under (Adam’s moving and storage, and Dependable movers) that I was forced to Zelle, so my bank can’t even fight the charges. On the day of my move they show up in an unmarked truck, up-charge me by $1000 because my broker wrote that I would have 40 medium boxes, when I had 24 large boxes. I had less than the 50 pieces listed on my inventory sheet, the movers claimed I had over 100. The movers commented on how well we had packaged our belongings and then went on to say they were going to repackage some things (they wanted a look at what they were moving, several of our high value items are missing). Coincidentally, the only things that broke were the items they repacked (our two TVs, coffee table, lamps, artwork, and several priceless glass antiques I inherited). The movers said they would arrive by 11/29/2023, and ended up throwing my belongings in a storage unit for two weeks, eventually arriving on 12/12/2023. When I called to ask for an update, my number was blocked. The driver who eventually came with my belongings showed up in an eighteen wheel semi truck, and threatened to up-charge me another $1000 because he didn’t know how to turn it around. He showed up with one mover who did all of the work by himself. When the mover finished the job, the driver came up to complain about the tip I gave him. An all-around atrocious experience. Choose anyone else. Their customer service is the bottom of the barrel, when you call you can hear other people screaming in the background, you will be hung up on, sworn at, and there’s essentially no chance of getting a refund without an attorney. So if you can’t afford and attorney or a price 3x what was quoted, hire someone else.
Bait and switch company
Bait and switch company, will not return my phone calls, I had been in the industry for over 20 years, talk to a representative and told him what I had, which was under 4000 lbs he gave me a price for how many I tems, agreed to the price .I day before the move get a phone call from a crook named Cameron, ask for item count same amount of items, actually was Lee's he raises the price $1,600.00 I said refund my deposit, he says he can't do that I assure him I am under the price he is telling me, he stated after it is loaded he can adjust, now have called 8 different times leaving messages the company is ghosting me. Biggest lying crooks I have seen.
Glad its over
There is nothing good I can say about this company other than they are a bunch of crooks in my opinion. They hounded me for the business to move from Portland to NC. They gave me a great deal, polite and professional. But when it came to moving day, they were nowhere to be found. They not only sold my job to another company, but that company sold my job to another company. Each company had no idea what the other company agreed upon. Each company asking for more money with different terms and 3 brothers never answered my calls. I was very emotional, it was a huge move for me, by myself. I believe this is what some would call Bait and switch. The 4th Vendor - showed up on my sister’s doorstep in an unmarked truck (which was fine) at 5:30 pm in a 55 + community. They were told that they could not deliver to this community in the evening. All they had to do is put my belongings into my sister’s garage. I'm so glad it’s over.
DO NOT USE 3 BROTHERS MOVING
DO NOT USE 3 BROTHERS MOVING!
They are a middle man and they cost out your job to a random company - usually those carriers that have the WORST EVER reviews.
Main issues being:
Zero communication as to where our things were
Trucks 'breaking down' and having no idea when they will be 'fixed' - this is more than likely a LIE because I'm sure they lost our stuff at some point.
When we reached out after receiving our stuff (a month later) about the overcharge when our items were picked up (to the tune of an ADDITIONAL $800) and they said, go talk to the van line. Zero help.
I had to call constantly to get any info and even then, it was only when I actually reached someone on the line that I got some info - which was usually - we don't know anything so reach out to the carrier (Transvan Lines) yourself and figure it out.
Save yourself the headache and find a reputable company.
Edit: 3 Brothers tried to refute this review on 1/23/2024 and I confirmed with Trustpilot the order info.
DO NOT TRUST THIS MOVING COMPANY
DO NOT TRUST THIS MOVING COMPANY. I hired them for my cross country move. They asked for a $800 deposit through ACH. I paid them the deposit and then proceeded to call them 3 days in a row to ensure that they received my deposit. They assured me all three days that they did. Movers came & then I found out that it wasn't the $2200 the sales rep Kevin told me it was going to be. Instead it was $4,798. They make you pay 50% on pick up and 50% on delivery. I tried to pay in full and they would not let me. Then the day my stuff is suppose to be delivered, I get a TEXT message, not a phone call a text message saying that they never received my deposit & won't deliver my belongings until I pay them $800 plus the remaining deliver amount. When I called them they said it must of been an issue with my bank so I called my bank to see what the problem was. My bank stated that there was no reason they shouldn't of been able to get the money as the funds were there and that it was an error on Three Brother's accounting end. When I called Three Brother's they said to send them a picture of a paper check for the amount or I wouldn't have my stuff. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that there was no manager on site. I called again the next day and they said oh we can hold your stuff in storage for "free" but you'll have to pay a re delivery fee of $700. That's on top of the $800 on top of the remaining $2,000 that has to be paid once delivered. When I asked for a manager the CSR Melissa informed me that there was no manager onsite, she wouldn't give me the corporate number, her managers name nothing at all. She stated she didn't know any numbers to any departments and there was no manager at all anywhere. This company will lie to you and then hold your belongings for ransom. This situation was entirely 100% Three Brother's Moving Co fault & they didn't even offer an apology for their utter incompetence.
UPDATE: I was finally able to speak to a manager Sara Norcia, who was the rudest most unprofessional person I have ever come across. Not only did she threaten me with non delivery of my belongings she stated she was going to block me from communicating with them. I paid my deposit AGAIN and was suppose to get a 48 hour notice prior to delivery, instead I received a text message the night before stating my delivery would be there the next day. When I asked the carrier why I wasn't given the the 48 hour notice, the carrier informed me they had told 3 brothers when it would be delivered and 3 brothers never informed me. They have made the whole experience a true nightmare. I also found out that they have done this to many, many people. They will lie to you to get a sale and then proceeded to hold your belongings for ransom and rip you off every which way they can. I have contacted my attorney who has advised me that they have broken several laws. If you have been screwed over by them, I suggest you contact your attorneys as well.
