I have two cavipoos with sensitive stomachs and they are two years old. It has been very rough finding something they will eat. I wish I would have ordered Farmer’s Dog earlier. They are eating, happy, and healthy!!! Thank you so much!!!

We’ve been 3 year customers feeding Farmers Dog everyday to our dog.
They recently increased prices by 12%, which is a massive hike. The increase itself would be understandable (the magnitude can be debated) but the worst part is that they launched fresh+grain recipe for 3 out of 4 (beef, pork, and chicken) but conveniently left out turkey - the food we’ve been feeding for 3 years consistently due to sensitive stomach other foods don’t work.
So now the prices are 12% higher and the lower priced option is not available to us.
We will be trying chicken+grain to see if that could maybe work but this price increase rollout was executed with non regards to customers like us who depend on there recipe. I have no idea why it’s difficult to mix turkey and grain while it’s possible to mix it with all other options.
I think this is Farmers Dog getting complacent and believe that dog parents won’t switch under any circumstances.

I have been using The Farmer's Dog for almost 9 years now. When I first adopted my dog, she wouldn't eat anything and I tried everything. I saw The Farmer's Dog online and decided to give them a try. It was the beginning of a wonderful healthy life for my dog Akira. When I adopted her, she was underweight and her coat was dull and frail. She just looked so sad. After feeding her The Farmer's Dog, her wait came up to normal and the vet is impressed with her health and luster of her coat. He even asked me what I was feeding her. I told him. :) Through no fault of The Farmers Dog, we have only had 2 issues with delivery of her food due to storms and they were on top of it. The first time, they saw it was taking longer than normal to arrive at my house and reached out to me about it. They immediately sent me a new box and it arrived just the day after the first one that was defrosted and not so good looking. So Akira did not go without her food. The second time was just this year when we had the big ice storms in Texas and they reached out again saying there may be delays in shipment due to the storms and they even sent me recipes that I could make at home until they could get it out to me. I keep a 7 day stash in the freezer so we did not have to resort to making those recipes but I really appreciate The Farmer's Dog communication, dedication and eagerness to help and make sure that my baby girl is properly fed. I would recommend everyone switching to Farmer's Dog. My dog is now coming up on 10 and she is still going on 3 mile hikes with me every day, her coat is still shiny and her health is doing great with no issues. This food is a game changer in the world of dog food and your pets healthy longevity.

Our two dogs were unhealthy and overweight. Since turning to farmers ( we make the food and use their nutrition packets Our big girl has dropped 18 pounds and doesn’t have joint pain and her coat is so much better. We saw results quickly. Also we were surprised when our other small dog passed of natural old age we received a condolence card and plant from Farmers Dog. It made us smile that a company showed compassion.
Lani was my customer service rep and she was most helpful. I found her friendly, knowledgeable about my questions, and competent, as she obtained the necessary information and made the entire process much easier. Give this woman a raise!!

I don’t normally go out of my way to leave reviews, but The Farmer’s Dog has earned it.
Their customer support has been excellent. Every question I’ve had has been answered quickly and thoroughly, and I’ve always felt taken seriously.
The biggest difference, though, has been in my dogs. They’ve lost weight, their joints seem better, and their energy is noticeably higher. They’re not just surviving, they’re thriving.
And here’s the surprising part: my black lab is incredibly picky and usually gets bored with food fast. He hasn’t gotten bored once with The Farmer’s Dog.
I’ve seen mixed reviews, and I can’t speak for anyone else. No brand is perfect. But after doing my research and comparing several options, this one stood out for quality and standards. For our family, it’s been worth it.
Highly recommend.

Farmers Dog support is always pleasant and very helpful. Now that we only have one 13 pound dachshund, the single frozen bag offers too much food after it’s thawed out. We are receiving a few of the new protein (chicken and beef) with oats in stead of Lintels. We hope the food is more Chunky and not so slimy. I hope Farmers Dog freeze dried versions where you add water will be introduced soon. There will have less waste and much easier to store. Frozen is ok but the logistics of shipping delivery and storing frozen dog food is a pain. We constantly have to move things around in freezer.

Customer service has much to be desired!
They can’t get the delivery days correct!
Dozens of emails & texts requesting no Friday or Saturday deliveries because no one is home.
Don’t ever expect customer service to do what they promise to do !
My dog loves the food

Angel, the customer service person who helped me, did an amazing job. They were very knowledgeable and friendly!

UPDATE: So the company's answer to doubling their cost is to tell me to just buy less....we have already found a better product for half the price, you can too, these guys may have started with a noble mission, but they have gotten greedy, move on.
This company has completely lost all credibility with me.
They pulled a classic bait-and-switch. You sign up thinking you’re getting one price, then they jack up the cost (basically doubling it). When you complain, instead of owning it, they try to “solve” the problem by pushing you into a lesser plan or telling you to mix in cheap garbage food so they can still justify selling their overpriced product.
It feels like an outright scam.
They trick people into signing up, then once you’re in, they hit you with the real pricing. And if you don’t like it, they try to con you into downgraded plans like they’re doing you a favor. It’s gross.
The worst part is I actually believe this company may have started with good intentions, but once they got popular, the investors and corporate greed showed up. Now it’s clearly about squeezing customers for revenue, lowering quality, and making dumb decisions.
I don’t even spend $9 a day on food for myself, and these people expect customers to just accept this nonsense.
You cannot build a brand with deception.
You could have had loyal customers for life, but instead you chose shady business practices.
I’ll be warning people on Google and everywhere else.
Avoid.

Terrible value. Gave it to my 6-year-old lab for about a year and saw no difference. If anything he maybe has less energy. Only significant difference is about $2500 less in my bank account than I would have with traditional dog food.

Farmer’s Dog has been the best product for my two dogs! Pretzel and Pudding are Australian labradoodles, I give them farmer‘s dog, dog food, and treats! They love all of it! They are super healthy, energetic, and have beautiful shiny hair! My cats like it too! They are always trying to steal the dogs food! The service is incredible from the company. They are very reliable, extremely helpful and really listen to all feedback. such a great company I plan to be a loyal customer forever.

Already an expensive option for dog food. I was just convinced that after one of my dogs passed away that prices would go up for only 1 dog delivery so they convinced me to get like 56 days of frozen blocks of food which weighs alot and is an extreme hassel to store I might add instead of 28 days to save money which I did. Which is not great to have this food frozen in plastic so long either. I couldn't imagine if your dog weighed more than 20 pounds what that would look like and cost. Now just a few months later I get an email stating the price would go up yet again. So for my 19lb cockapoo it cost $3.71 a day which I was paying over $200 for before the increase! Now prices have gone up and I will be forced to pay $244.52 for the same frozen NON ORGANIC food. I also haven't been a fan of the shady people delivering the product to my neighborhood. Often they have been careless with delivery. I also had to cancel the treats that was an additional $20+!

My dog, Clark, had been dealing with some issues regarding his weight, desire to eat, and some overall energy levels. It started when he had some lower spinal problems a couple years ago, all of a sudden he couldn’t use his hind legs anymore. After some acupuncture treatment and a medicine regiment he started to get use of his legs back, but he started losing his high natured spirit and desire to walk(portly due to my wife and I being nervous about his physical health) which led to weight gain and becoming a fussy eater.
We tried a different combination of foods; wet food and kibble mix, mixing in rice and sweet potatoes, a scrambled egg for breakfast, even giving him a steak and potato dinner on his birthday. But when I decided to give you guys a try, it was like he discovered food all over again. It took one whiff of the beef recipe you made from him and now it’s the only thing that makes him clean his bowl. He has happy energy again, he’s cutting his weight down, and he’s excited to eat every day. Thank you all so much for making something he loves!!

It's funny, I canceled Farmers Dog, because of money issues. We have 4 dogs and they absolutely freaking loved the food! 1 dog is particularly fussy, and she now DEMANDS Farmers Dog! Lol
Me, and the 4 amigos, highly recommend!!

We have two dogs that are the light of our home, and I am flabbergasted by the changes we have seen since paying for what we get- in this day and age where I do not trust our human food. I am a healthy skeptic lol. However, so far, our two dogs have demonstrated a tremendous increase in vitality, youthfulness, energy, healthy coat, weight and appetite since beginning to eat the farmers dog Whole Foods. Highly recommended!

This is such a great company and has such good quality anti-inflammatory, nutrient-dense food for your pups!
I love the non-gluten options, with the parsnips or brussels sprouts. I ordered the chicken, turkey, and beef options and each of them are unique. With healthy vegetables. So healthy and clean ingredients. Love love!!
Even the different treats! I ordered the beef liver, apple, and sea salt ones. To help with liver/iron.
Even the team is so supportive, empathetic, and passionate to help and about dogs.
I ordered for my brother’s dog, to help extend her life and to educate him/family on the benefits of real homemade dog-food, at an affordable price.
I know this food will help Sandy live longer on her last days and I’m sharing to all my family and friends about The Farmers Dog. And will continue to spread the word to others.
I’ve worked in the health industry for humans and I see the extra steps, The Farmer’s Dog take to have clean ingredients.
I need to also give a shout out to Emma and Kate. Who were so helpful along this journey to help my brother‘s dog live longer.
Thank you for the bottom of my heart. I send you many blessings, that your company grows and grows, and will be continuing to tell everyone about The Farmers Dog.
Thank you, big hug and well wishes. I know Sandy is gonna enjoy her meals for the end of her life to feel better. Xoxo

Called by a shelter, he was a tiny skin & bones needing emergency care. Saving Hope Rescue rushed to one vet needing a blood transfusion then, moved to a round the clock vet facility for ICU for a 2nd transfusion & more care. I fostered & within months adopted & picked up the rest of his special needs. Within 48 hours you helped with a special diet, my vet did medications & blood work every three weeks & medicated bath 2x week for months. He had a 25 to 50% chance of survival. It was pins & needle in 3 months able to neuter & do a dental safely & adopted he was a safe 6.5 lbs & finally making blood cells. He kept growing. At 10 months LilJack is healthy & 10lbs. Chihuahua mix. He is about 2.5 yrs old has almost tripled his weight & grown 3 to 4 inches taller & longer. He is learning to be a dog. Feels safe and is my velcro dog. Learning manners. Adopted by Mr.Frog as a little brother. Has all his fur & skin healed with one small scar on an ear. Thank you the quality of your food 100% helped save his life

I had been a customer since May 2024. Today, I canceled my service. They failed to deliver food, and when I realized I was dipping into my safety stock and that the delivery I was expecting wasn’t even in transit, I reached out. I was told their operations were disrupted by Winter Storm Fern. I understood that, but the lack of communication (no delay notice at any point) and the repeated assurances that “it would ship the next day,” when it never did, became too much.
I canceled the service for my three dogs. The response I received was, “We are dedicated to customer service.” If that were truly the case, there would have been action when customer service was actually needed. I’m genuinely disappointed.
Update - customer service reached out and did a convincing job assuring me that they understood my issue and were working on fixing it. Time will tell, but the attention is indicative of them being customer oriented so I will give it another shot.

The commercials dont lie. First the dirty part haha my dogs ate kibble and pooped 3 times a day and a lot. Now they barely poop because their body keeps the good stuff which is all of it. My dogs are picky I had to put what I called skooby snacks, table scraps gravy meat etc in their dinner nightly or they wouldn't eat. Now they eat just farmers dog and are so excited as I prepare it and devour it and lick their bowls clean! Can't say enough good. And not terribly expensive!
