Such a shame, I had been so looking forward to this meal. Let me start by saying that the staff were exceptional.
We travelled that day 1 ¾ hours to the Pub on a wet & windy day & it was longer on the way back because of flooding.
Ordered some drinks at the bar, rather hoping that Clarkson would uphold British brewing with a nice real ale. Sadly disappointed, gas pressured glass of very cold, tasteless, coloured water. I couldnt even finish the IPA beer (an exceptionally rare event)
Ushered to our table, orders taken promptly. Miraculously the order being put in just 1 minute later the plates were coming out. There wouldn’t have been enough time to plate the food let alone cook it. We were sitting near the service door & observed this to be the norm. Indicating that the food was batch prepared in advance & left plated on the pass. To me it appeared to be a slick systemised kitchen & a "get them in & out" mentality, rather a kin to Maccas. Rather then showcasing great British food at its best which is what we were expecting.
Mains saddle of lamb with mint, should rename this “mint with lamb” , the mint was so overpowering couldn’t taste the meat. Veggies were rather oily. Pork belly was tough & dry, stodgy veg, We shared a cheese cake which was rather nice.
As the beer was awful, decided to have a coffee wth desert, nope! Its not British, but apparently Cornwall grows tea, so had a pot for two, a large pot enough for at least 5 cups. BUT just 1 tea bag !!!
Wasnt super expensive at £130, But wont return
My dog was overweight and I decided to purchase a plan with The Farmer's Dog. Best decision I ever made. Not only has my dog lost weight and become more active, which is worth the price alone, someone from the company is always reaching out to make sure everything is going good. Can't rave about this company enough.

The customer service of this company is beyond wonderful. An order had been sent to me that I didn't know about and they immediately refunded me and asked that I donate the food to a shelter! They were lovely, accommodating and so kind!

Can not imagine not have The Farmer's Dog food for our Luna. The absolute ONLY food Luna will eat. For her and me dinner is a special time. I sit on the floor with her while she eats. She is so very social it is for her as though we are fine dining together. This is really unbelievable as she would go 3 to 4 days without eating the other foods we tried. And would just break down and eat as she was starving. We did not try to supplement with treats so she would be very, very hungry before she would touch any of the other foods. The Farmer's Dog food is human quality in my opinion. Luna's coat is thick and shiny. She is a Newfoundland, Collie and American Akita mix with the absolute best of the three breeds. We (me, her mommy, Luna's daddy and Luna could not be any happier.

My three dogs have been on The Farmer's Dog food for several years. Their stools are formed and are not so pungent as they were on canned/kibble food, and are a lot easier to pick up. They also start to biodegrade a lot faster.
The dogs coats feel a lot better. My thirteen year old Mountain Curr cross acts more like a puppy now he has had The Framer's Dog for I think, four years.
The company customer service is amazing, and if a batch of food doesn't quite make it to your house because it was lost in transit, they call to let you know, and they replace the shipment in record time. Their concern is so great, they give you the formula for the food should you not have enough to get by. In four years I have no complaints.

My 10 yr old Golden Retriever has always been in good health (so we thought) other than having both knees rebuilt after ACL tears. A little limping became normal. So did sleeping most of the time, weight edging up, & some reluctance to daily walks. Then we started Farmer’s Dog and we now have a different dog. Her previous kibble was NOT cheap. She now sleeps less, plays more, jogs the entire time on walks, and NEVER limps. We are shocked. Even if this food didn’t extend her life (hard to believe it wouldn’t), it’s totally added life to her years. Food IS medicine and The Farmer’s Dog has been the best thing we could have ever done for our best girl. Thank you, Farmers Dog!

My dogs both have gained weight since using their portions so I cut back the portions they recommended. My dogs both have developed ear issues since being on this food and their stools are less firm! I used science growth diet for years and my big dogs and cats lived to 17 and 21. But they changed their formula and my dogs stopped eating it. So have been using this food now for over a year but lately they are now having itching and ear issues. Did something change in the food? Not sure if the food is the cause. Anyone else find this?

We love the service and our dog loves the food!
I have reached out via email with questions and they are very knowledgeable and always respond quickly. We recommend checking them out. Both you and your dog will be happy you did!

My little dog has been eating poorly since his companion dog died. I've tried different kinds of food both dry and wet and end up throwing most of it away. He's been to the vet twice screaming with stomach pains and intestinal bloat. When I gave him his first portion, he literally gulped it down. I have never seen him eat so well. He's 11 years old, and I'm glad to find food that he loves. My problem is now that he wants more than his 1/4 pack! Thanks you for creating healthy meals for Jack.
Thank you for the wonderful experience with Farmer's Dog. Our beautiful pup Lucy has done so well on your food, noticibly better than past dogs, wonderful coat, extraordinary strength and muscle, happy and healthy. She is almost a year old and been on your recipes the whole time. What a great start to her life.

We switched to Farmers Dog over a year ago and our dog Ladybird is much healthier and at a better weight now. We adopted her at age 3 and she was over-weight and didn't get much exercise at all. We did need to adjust the amount of calories she was getting per day after the initial month, but that slight adjustment has been perfect and she is a very healthy weight and very active now. Their customer service is exemplary as well. The cost is a little more but you will save A LOT in vet bills.

Abi on the customer service team was so kind and helpful!! I am a customer for life now!!! I was having some issues with delivery, but Abi got it all sorted out for me.
TFD has really helped our "allergy dog" to be less itchy and inflamed. It seems like she hasn't really flared up since we've made the switch, and at a minimum it feels good to know she is getting the best nutrition she can with the Farmer's Dog. She absolutely loves the food and eats it very carefully like she enjoys every bite.
I personally have found customer service to be very kind and helpful. The price is a premium, but I think if you are going to be committed to feeding your dog high quality food you have to know that is not going to be cheap. I feel like the company keeps you well in the know of when you will be charged for your next box and when it will arrive. You can also adjust the amount of packs you have on hand in the app or on the site. Its very convenient!

Full disclosure I did not purchase this dog food. The reason why. I could not find an ingredient list anywhere. I found lots of fancy paragraphs on what a dog should eat and why, but there isn’t a comprehensive ingredient list for any of the pouches.

The food itself was great—my dogs absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, the billing practices were confusing and disappointing. I was billed on the 1st, then billed again on the 8th, even though customer service stated that billing occurs every 14 days. Fourteen days from the 1st would be the 15th, and I hadn’t even received the first box before the second charge was attempted. Because the billing didn’t align with delivery or the stated schedule, I ultimately canceled, which was frustrating because the product itself was excellent.

My 2 Cairn Terriers do the Farmer's Dog Dance before each meal and totally lick their bowls clean. They LOVE this food and it clearly is doing well for them. One of my twins has a sensitive stomach which did not do well on other premium dog kibble but from the time they were switched to the FD, his stool was normal and has been ever since which was a clear indication that the food made the difference. You need freezer space which is the ONLY downside to using this fresh food and a trade-off worth making! The twins have been on FD food now for over 3 years and loving it!

Harrison at customer service is an amazing person!! So glad he’s with y'all at the farmers dog!! He made losing my old dog on New Year’s Day a bit easier and helped to adjust my plan for my 1 dog now!! He deserves a raise, stock options and 30 vacations days a year!! Very excited to get my dog Bubbha on farmer’s dog to help him live his best, healthiest life!!

We tried Farmers Dog for a few months and decided that it wasn’t how we wanted to feed our dogs.
When we informed the company of our decision, (mainly because they removed funds from our personal account WAY too early), they informed us that they would NOT be returning our $186.xx, even though the cancellation was sent almost two weeks before the next shipment is to arrive.
So, even though we still have a 9 day supply of Farmers Fog and let them know we no longer choose to be customers, they informed us that the company was keeping the money that they took from our account without consulting us first.
Farmers Dog won’t be in business very long if this is their Standard Operating Procedure.
It has caused ill will and the company will suffer losses from bad reviews and word of mouth.
Personally, I’m so aggravated by this, I might even call the local news for a human/dog interest story where the buyer needs to be aware of bad business practices.
The BBB will also be informed.
