Scammers! I thought this was the legit website, though they charge double. You should only book your test through GOV.UK website. It should be around £23. This con website is now 'thetheorytest.uk'... See more

Date booked is not guaranteed, only 50% refund given.

Booked test for a specific date and time and received an email with a date a month later, when I will be away and cant attend. The company does not have a telephone number either! If you cant make the date, you can change it free of charge. if you request a refund you will only get a refund on the test fees, which means that the PDF Theory leaflet just cost you over £20. Just simplier to book on the official website and if you need a specific date search for other test centres in the local area.

Booked test through this company. Difficult to navigate to change the date, but did manage it.
My daughter failed the test by 2 marks. I later went back to the website to rebook one of the ‘unlimited’ retests, to find ive be block out of the site. There is no way of contacting them. SCAMMERS! DO NOT USE!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE SCAMMERS - my daughter paid £45.00 for this waste of money. Why is Google allowing this to appear as the first search. I tried to call them no answer, when they replied to my email the link they provided said it was not a secure site. No remorse just taking money from youngsters who think they are booking their theory test - DISGUSTING!!!

Absolutely abhorrent

Absolutely abhorrent, shameless crooks. Totally robbing people blind. They continue to be the promoted result on Google Searches. It is unacceptable that they are charging double the price and not providing full refunds. I cannot fathom how this is legal or allowed to happen.

About time Google stopped helping these people

My 17 years old daughter typed "Book driving theory test" into Google and up came this company, courtesy of Google as a paid listing.

She unwittingly ended up parting with £45.99 for something that costs £23 through the official Government website. In return, she received an email today with an appointment booked for 3 days ahead, despite the face that she asked for an appointment for over a month's time. In an attempt to get this changed, my wife called the Government DVSA, who whilst sympathetic, told her that appointments can't be changed this near to the booked date. So £46 wasted.

Google should stop taking money from companies like this whose sole purpose is to scam unwitting people. Further, they should not list them in their search results, so that only the official site shows up and people are not misled.

It's the same with passports, bridge tolls and driving tests. Rip-offs that Google are abetting and making money from.

STAY AWAY DANGER BEWARE

Wish I had read this before Husband stupidly booked with these people I only found out when hubby was telling my son you need to practice as the test cost £45. I then realised that he had booked through a dodgey company. We rung the numbers on the website thinking we were talking to Thetheory test people to cancel the test and get a refund but we have just found out we were talking to DVLA. We tried to go through the bank to get a refund but without any evidence of us canceling the theory test we can't get the money back. I have found a number on there website but the phone just rings out then goes dead. I have looked up this company on companies house and to say there dodgy is a understatement. PLEASE EVERYONE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Don't use this company

Don't use this company - they cannot be contacted via phone or email. If you try to via email you have to go through their system portal and if they don't want to deal with your query the portal does not allow contact with them. All I needed was a change of date. Which can be done well in advance - they cannot be contacted.

Avoid like the plague

Avoid like the plague
The offer of a free retest is impossible to achieve, you have to have not failed the hazard perception on the day of your test, but also have taken 10 of their practice tests within two weeks of your test date, and passed the last 3 with 100% and 15 minutes of the time remaining.
You are not informed of this as they use '*' meaning you have to read their T&C's, and to be honest, who ever does?
Impossible to communicate with, their phone number doesn't even work!

This website needs to be shut down

This website needs to be shut down! If I could give no stars I would.
They are taking advantage of vulnerable 17 year olds and scamming our kids !!!
My daughter failed her hazard perception and thought she had a free unlimited retest but surprise surprise small prints says free re test only if you fail the theory. She paid another £45 booked through them again and this time failed her theory and passed her hazard. She had to upload a copy of her failed report they emailed back saying they would be in touch. 2 weeks later and no response.
I’ve now emailed a complaint and will be reporting to trading standards the more that do this the better chance we have of getting them shut down.
They put a telephone number in their small print which rings then cuts off. No surprise there.
I’m sure they will come back with some excuse and point out some really really small print to get out of booking a “free” re test.
I’ve now booked through the gov website for just £23 . This company took £90 off my 17 year old for 2 tests (she could have had 4 tests for this price through gov site).
Please take note of these reviews I wish I would have known about these before she booked back in May 2019.
I hope people read these reviews and avoid this company at all cost.

SCAM scam SCAM reported to trading standards

Absolutely awful experience! I booked my test through this website, of which looked legitimate, costing me £45 only £23 from the government web site, almost double what the Government website are charging. I thought this was just due to the fact there’s unlimited resits right? Wrong. Much to my surprise, these scammers had changed the date chosen to a date that is no good to me, but still taken my money,
i have contacted my bank who are in the process to get my money back.

So I have recently just used The Theory…

So I have recently just used The Theory Test Agency by a simple and silly mistake. I luckily, had 1 the theory test but I failed by 1 mark. So I have requested to do a "free retest" like it states on the website but it says I cannot because of certain terms and conditions I have not followed. These terms and conditions are not stated anywhere... Not in the email I received or even clearly on the website itself. I am really disappointed as I have paid £45 in total and I should have paid £23 via the the Gov Website. A scam and please please please do NOT USE!!!
