Was a good service. Stopped working, removed app. Reinstalled, not working. Luckily only £4.60 credit on account.
Today 1day later, my credit jumped to £5.15. SORRY TOOLANI HAS STOPPED WORKING. Not worked since update 9 December. Usless.

Since mid November no longer works in UK. Sent couple of emails with enquiries but no reply, still got few £ left on my credit. It's a shame as it was the cheapest way to communicate with my elderly parents abroad.

No longer working and its cross connecting to another country where couple talking (thank god I don’t understand them) but i have a lot money in it as I used to regularly use it to call my parents.

It worked for years but stopped working in Spain. Still have credit but I guess I can kiss it goodbye. No response from Support. My elderly parents who are not tech savvy were relying on it as they don't get on with mobile (and international calls on mobiles from Spain are really expensive anyway). The just want to use their trusty landline phone to phone family abroad, but it's not working anymore.

Toolani worked fine when from my landline, but now that I can only use my mobile it doesn't connect to the (only) number I need it for, an elderly relative in the US (from here in the UK). Multiple attempts just get me the on-screen message "Call Failed", yet according to the person I called, the phone rang multiple times but when she picked up no one was there. To add salt to the wound I was charged for the calls that did not connect. I have emailed Toolani "Customer Service" (as suggested) outlining the issue but surprise surprise no response apart from an acknowledgement in a foreign language (German?).

No longer works for calls from Spain, just says 'call does not correspond to any client'...
No response from company so I guess my credit balance is just lost.

Toolani still not working in Spain. Having waited a few days I tried to use Toolani again today to make an international call. No luck! Toolani connection number in Madrid "no existe"! No response from customer service to my email about what has happened to the service. Website customer service options not working. My account has a credit balance. I guess I won't be getting a refund!

Been using this app for 8 years and now I can't make any calls from Spain.... Now I see from other reviews I'm not alone !

VoIP worked last week from Portugal and now back in Spain neither apps working !!!!!

I have been happily using Toolani for 6 years now to make international calls from home in Canada!!!
However, I cannot use Toolani Abroad anymore ....it fails( the application) repeatedly for more than a year now . I travel overseas regularly and found this feature very useful earlier but not anymore. In fact even the 'Help' option on the Toolani Application generates a "exception handling error" message when I click on it. Something is just not right with Toolani!! Can a complany representative please respond ?

Sent 3 emails as when I make a call from Spain to the UK I am being told the Spanish number the call goes through doesn't exist. Automated response " we'll get back to you" but nothing for 3 days now. Even David West not responding. I have a balance in my account and fear they have gone out of business. Very disappointed after a few good years of service.

My account has been locked for nearly 2 weeks with no explanation and no response to my numerous messages. Don’t rely on this service or feel confident that you will be able to access any credit on your account.

Following my previous attempts, yes, as I'm a glutton for punishment. I tried for a eighth time to contact Toolani. I did get an "automated" acknowledgement this time. From the 8 that I sent, that's a total of 4 acknowledgements, I believe, - 2 each from David West and Jurgen Winter (in German). And no, I still haven't got ANY support!
I think 1 star is too high a rating, incidentally.
So, I can only advise, Caveat Emptor!

I bought credit specifically to use my Australian phone in the UK to call English numbers, which is supposed to be via Toovoip. Simply doesn't work. I contacted the support people many times to 1. find if there was a reason and 2. the obtain a refund. All I got was a direction in each case to refer to a Help page. All hypertext on that page resulted in an error. SCAM!

Bought 20,00€ credit (maximum one authorised). I should have bought 5€ but I imperatively needed to talk to someone for at least half an hour. Yet when I followed their instructions for calling, they said the number didn’t exist. No customer service, downloaded app shows error and gibberish when looking for FAQ or such, their number (the one you’re supposed to call then get redirected: +32 02 808 02 40) isn’t even in service. I ended up talking to no one as I didn’t even get to hear the phone of my correspondent ring! I only wish I had read the reviews before buying: only received an automated email from David West, after sending a request on their website (only option allowed), but given the other people’s experience written here and mine, it doesn’t seem like I’ll ever recover my money or be able to do my call. Please anyone, listen to the late reviews and don’t throw your money into that bin… Stay away from Toolani!

Update 03/06/2024: I found another email from previous questions and answers that a certain David West working in customer service had provided. To contact Johan de Vries on johan.devries at toolani.com (for people in Belgium). I just sent an email and got blocked. Yes: I got an answer back saying I had been blocked. No: it was nothing like Mail delivery failed (which would mean the recipient mail is no longer in service). The last would be a bit reassuring, but getting blocked for YOUR money?
I guess the customer service is now blocking anyone that ask questions or request a refund.

used for years... worked great. Account disactivate for no reason, no response from support. lost credit and service no longer works. Many part of web site no longer works.

Very bad service, I've created a contact and got local number. It was working well the first time, However, it started connecting me to totally unknown responders! each time I dialled, I got a different person with the same local number. All my money went away ... horrible services and nothing provided as support, no email, no claim pages ....

I have been with TOOLANI for many years and has been working well but in the last 18 months unable to connect. After having dialled it comes with a reply “FAILED CALL” I have emailed the support team several times without having a reply and with a £12.26 in credit.
I’m disappointed with the company as they were prompt to help once, no longer and therefore I would discourage any prospective customers to stay away from it.

Despite of 6€ on my account. Prompt meeage says i dont have enough balance to make a call. I have addressed my problem via Email to them but they never respond.only automated men name David respond you but issue never be resolved. Send them two successive emails and still waiting. No customer service number is available.. I topup through PayPal..seems to be scam..please don't use it.
