Originally booked a small group tour to…

Originally booked a small group tour to Dubai, Jordan, Luxor, Aswan and Cairo. They ended up changing this to a private tour, which was okay. We had a lot of issues the two weeks we were there. The itinerary was changed, we didn't know anything about our last flight, receiving no information at all. I got food poisoning in the first night of our 4-day Nile cruise. Our first flight into Cairo was late at night. We were booked at a hotel over an hour away. By the time we got there, we would have had only 45 minutes to rest before we returned to the airport. I ended up having to buy two hotel rooms with my points at a hotel close to the airport, just to get 2 hours of rest. I cannot get those points back. The sites were great to visit. The guides were great however they all spent quite a lot of time on their phones. Some of the places we went to had everything under my name and others had some under my friend's name. It was very confusing. It just seemed to be a whole lot of issues that didn't need to be

- Keeping all the booking information in one plateform which is good.
-Communication is done via the message box.

Need to Improve:
-Delay in response from the agent in the message.
-Direct call is avoided. Require a direct call for the customer to interact with agents.
-Information about fees is not clear. Extra fees apply to changes made to the confirmed trip. TourHub should not charge extra fees for making changes ahead of time to a confirmed trip.
-Currency conversion is a problem. It should provide an option to select the standard international currency to avoid variation.

We also hear your frustrations on a few points and wanted to share a little more context:
The 'Extra Fees' Confusion: This is a big one! We want to clarify that Tourhub actually doesn’t charge any fees for changes or cancellations. Those charges come directly from the tour operator’s own policy. We know it’s frustrating when plans change and we always do our best to advocate for our travellers with the operators.
Response Times: Because we want to give you 100% accurate info, we often have to wait for a specific update from the tour operator before we message you back. This can sometimes cause a little lag, but it ensures you’re getting the right answers straight from the source.
Phone Contact: We use our messaging portal so that both our team and the tour operators have a transparent, shared record of everything. It’s the best way to make sure everyone, including the people running your tour, is on the same page but we do also offer callbacks, please do ask via the portal if you'd like to arrange one with the team.
Currency: We process payments in the operator's local currency to keep the base price as low as possible for you, though we know bank exchange rates can be a bit of a moving target depending on where you live.
