Sue is great at suggesting and then organising some fabulous trips. She has organised three very different trips for me - to Botswana, Kenya and most recently to Zambia. Everything was very efficiently organised, and the camps she suggested were superb. Wonderful game viewing. I saw 17 wild dogs together! I would trust her to arrange any future safaris. She always goes the extra mile for clients.

If I could rate Sue as 10 then I would. She is extremely knowledgable and approachable and able to answer all our ‘silly’ questions. There were a number of challenges with our booking, non of which were Sue’s fault, and she worked tirelessly to ensure we got the holiday that we wanted. And we did, a fantastic trip with many memorable moments. Great camps, excellent food and expert guides.

Sue listens to what I want to achieve and chose camps which were delightful but not too posh in Botswana & Zimbabwe. She was also very helpful giving the camps warning that I'd suffered an injury and would struggle more but I would still travel.
All the arrangements worked perfectly, staff in the camps were very welcoming and the guiding superb. I'll definitely be back for more, enjoying the wonders of Africa and I won't hesitate to use Tracks Safaris again.

We have just returned from a trip of a lifetime. Although we are experienced travellers, this was our first safari and booking with Tracks Safaris. We researched many tours before meeting Sue at the Travel and Destinations show. We were impressed with her professionalism, knowledge and willingness to tailor make a trip to our requirements and budget. After several consultations, we were blown away with the trip Sue could organise for us.
Due to flooding our second accommodation was not accessible and Sue quickly organised an alternative, which was incredible with the watering hole immediately beside our rooms and restaurant terrace.
From the greeting at Johannesburg airport till our departure, the whole experience was seamless. The Ivory Tree Lodge - Pilanesberg and Tau lodge - Madikwe, were excellent hotels, with wonderful staff and they catered for our dietary needs. The game drivers were very friendly, knowledgeable and they found all the animals you could wish to see and more.
We cannot thank Sue enough for this incredible experience and would highly recommend Tracks Safaris.

Fresh back from Zambia, my second African adventure, I'm still basking in the excitement of a flawlessly curated itinerary, expertly crafted by Sue Preater of Tracks Safaris. Sue is a treasure trove of knowledge on all things Africa, working diligently to tailor the perfect journey within a predetermined budget. She checked every box on my wish list, from spotting Wild dogs to luxuriating in a camp on the Zambezi River. For a two-week trip, we sought a charming, rustic camp, and Kapamba Camp exceeded expectations, with its warmth and hospitality. We also desired something a bit more luxurious, and so we also stayed at Lion Camp and Anabezi, which offered warm welcomes and breathtaking settings. The wildlife encounters at each location were truly unforgettable. If I'm fortunate enough to return for a third visit, I'll undoubtedly turn to Sue at Tracks Safaris, and I highly recommend you do the same for your next African escapade.

I just returned from my third trip to Africa, each one flawlessly organized by Sue at Tracks Safaris. Time and again, Sue has proven herself to be incredibly resourceful, knowledgeable, caring, patient, and experienced in all things Africa!
Before choosing Tracks Safaris, I had shopped around with numerous well-known safari companies—but none came close to the personal attention, depth of experience, and insider knowledge that Sue offered. Her attention to detail has ensured that each trip was exactly what I was looking for—and truly seamless from start to finish.
With her extensive personal experience staying at so many camps across Africa, Sue brings a level of insight and expertise that simply can’t be matched. She has helped me organize unforgettable adventures in Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Zambia.
I can’t tell you how many times I passed vans packed with a dozen people all jostling for a good photo—yet every trip Sue has planned for me has been uniquely tailored, with private (or mostly private) game drives, personalized accommodations, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences in stunning locations.
Sue has always been personally available to answer any questions or address any concerns, and I would recommend her again and again. If I’m lucky enough to take a fourth trip to Africa, there is no question who I will trust with the planning—Sue at Tracks Safaris!

Few days ago we came back from our three weeks self-drive trip to Namibia and wanted to thank Tracks Safaris for organising the most perfect holiday. If you are planning a trip to Namibia look no further!
It was our first trip to Namibia, we had a vague idea what we wanted to see and where we wanted to go but we didn’t know how to organise it. We asked Sue Preater, Managing Director of Tracks Safaris to help us to prepare a tailor-made itinerary which would offer a diverse and authentic experience.
Sue and her team perfectly understood our aspirations and thanks to her first-hand knowledge of each destination and every camp and lodge organised an unforgettable trip, covering most of Namibia and Victoria Falls.
Thanks to Tracks Safaris we had a truly wonderful holiday. Everything has been meticulously planned by Sue herself and organised with absolute perfection and great attention to detail. We have seen most beautiful, diverse landscapes, had memorable encounters with the indigenous people, seen amazing animals on numerous safaris and game drives and enjoyed every activity suggested and organised by Sue. Each destination on our route was different and offered new experiences and each accommodation was unique, beautiful and absolutely perfect.
The entire trip exceeded our expectations, and we cannot wait to travel with Tracks Safaris again.

Highly recommend Tracks safari for anyone planning a trip to Namibia. We have travelled to Africa a lot but as it was our first time to Namibia self driving we thought we would book through an agent, and after seeing a recommendation online we contacted Sue. We had already done some research and had some idea of the trip we wanted to do. Sue asked us lots of questions about what we wanted from the trip and the types of accommodation we wanted. Within a couple of days we had a proposed itinerary and after a couple of tweaks from our end the trip was agreed. Sue sorted everything for us accommodation, flights, car hire and was always on hand to answer the many queries I had about our trip. All the travel documents arrived a few weeks before our trip , and we were off. The other good thing about Tracks is that they are an agent for Wilderness Safaris , which meant we were met by one of their agents ( Grace) at the airport. They went through our trip, giving us a map and full travel details and even a cool box we could use on our trip . The agent also helped us pick up our car and get a sim card for our phone ( a local one rather than the more expensive tourist one). Our trip was perfect: the accommodation was everything we wanted , the directions provided were spot on ( although the trips took a lot longer as we wanted to stop look and take photos) and it was good to know we had local back up if needed ( which we didn't) Namibia is a truly amazing place and self driving is a real adventure. After 3 weeks we sadly had to leave , and when we returned the cool box to the wilderness office the agent followed up on our trip asking for feedback on the accommodation , routes etc. We were allowed to stay in the office and help ourselves to coffee until check in time and our agent even helped us through check in. The day after we arrived back we had a follow up call from Sue to ask if we were happy about our trip. Would have no hesitation in recommend Sue and Tracks safari and are already making plans for our next trip with them

The planning and expertise of Sue Preater made our trip the adventure of a lifetime. From her personal travels and experiences Sue was able to plan our trip and convince us of the perfect time of year to visit Cape Town, Botswana, and Zimbabwe within our budget. Our contacts along the way were promptly there to greet us and take care of us in every way. I would definitely reach out to Tracks Safari for a first class travel adventure.

Sue listened to what we wanted to experience and set up a tailor made tour. We were met at each location by someone to insure we got to our next location without a hitch. At Nxai Pan and Splash camps in Botswana the staff were experienced and accommodating, treating us like family. Meals were delicious and the game drives exceeded our expectations with excellent guides and trackers (MD and Shoos, Josiah and Coa). Thank you, Sue for insuring we had a trip of a lifetime!

Sue tailor-made an excellent multi generational, once in a lifetime Tanzanian Safari trip for us. Our group consisted of teenagers and pensioners and all of us had the most amazing experience. The 5 different camps/lodges which were chosen were all unique and fantastic in their own way. My husband and myself and the children shared a family room in every lodge which was what we had chosen. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the food was very good.
The tour provider 'Leopard Tours' that Sue used where very professional and respectful to not only ourselves but also the animals. We visited 2 tribes as well which was fitted in to our itinerary perfectly. We felt completely safe and very well looked after the entire time thanks to our guide Zac and the friendly people of Tanzania.
An absolutely incredible trip which we want to do all over again!

Sue did what others didn't; she listened to my needs and then advised me what would work best for me. And she was right. I didn't want to see the Great Migration (as I thought), I wanted to see animals in their habitat and not surrounded by lots of safari vehicles all trying for that perfect shot. Both Porini camps were excellent, with attentive and friendly staff, and my guides were knowledgeable and fun. I saw so many animals, I am still going through my photos. As someone who tires easily, operating from a base camp and having morning and afternoon drives meant I could stay behind if I needed more rest. However, the pace of the days and the timing of meals meant I had enough respite to be able to do every drive, each one revealing new settings for the wildlife. Leopards and Cheetahs were obvious highlights, but seeing Hippo out of the water, and so many lions, lionesses and cubs! The memories will never fade, and I'm already thinking about the next trip!

Thanks Sue for another great trip with Track Safaris. Gujarat is renowned as a birdwatcher’s paradise and it exceeded our expectations both in variety and quantities of birds seen. In addition we had some good sightings of interesting and unusual mammals including wild asses, hyenas, blackbuck and Asiatic lions. The organisation was excellent with a brilliant guide throughout the trip (thanks Dhaval), good accommodation and seamless travel arrangements. Looking forward to the next one!

We had an excellent ‘African Adventure’ with Tracks Safaris. The trip was tailor made to our specifications/budget requirements and exceeded all expectations. All the lodges were spacious and well appointed with great views of wildlife. We encountered all the animals we hoped to see on the drives and some! The staff in all locations went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience, as did everyone at Track Safaris in the UK.

This was a wonderful trip which exceeded our expectations in almost all respects. We visited a wide variety of different habitats, enabling us to see huge numbers of birds, not just some 200 species (I haven't counted yet), but also enormous numbers of many of them. A few real rarities, which didn't particularly excite us but would be much appreciated by enthusiasts. The other wildlife was great too, and we were lucky enough to see lions on every one of our 5 safaris in the Gir Forest - some 15 in all, including cubs of various ages and a pair mating. We liked the way the trip was organised, giving us plenty of time and several safaris in each location, so we could really watch and study the wildlife rather than just seeing it and moving on.
An interesting day in Bhuj, seeing the local craftspeople making wonderful fabrics of different kinds.
The naturalist guide, Dhaval, was excellent. Really knowledgeable (not often we get a guide with a PhD!) but also very friendly and helpful and went well beyond the call of duty to give us extra outings when there was time to spare.
The vehicle was amazing, we've never had such a comfortable van anywhere in the world. Like flying business class. Accommodation ranged from perfectly acceptable to somewhat over-the-top luxury, which we rather enjoyed though we probably wouldn't have chosen it.

This was an amazing once in a lefetime safari. The people were welcoming; the locations were perfect; knowledge of masai mara tribe was incredidble. Food was amazing. Thank you to Porini for everything.

From start to finish my Kenyan safari was organised perfectly by Tracks. Information about travel details and accommodation was very clear and the trip went like clockwork. I was even sent a paperback book about Kenya which was a nice surprise. I had a wonderful time and I would definitely use this company again.

I have used TracksSafaris for 3 safaris to Botswana and South Africa over the last decade. Always very reliable and thorough with excellent safari recommendations. Prompt and responsive. Very detailed itineraries and willing to modify hotels/tours. Payment is by Wise, but it works fine once you get the hang of it.
This trip was last minute (within a month) during Christmas holidays. We wanted a malaria-free destination with off-road possibilities. On short notice, Sue recommended Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa along the Botswana border. An excellent choice with smooth transfers. Sue always delivers!

Sue put together an incredible trip. Our driver/guide Zack was extraordinary, the itinerary could not have been better, and the accommodation was fantastic.
And I loved the pace of the trip. All our hotel stays were at least 2 or 3 nights which meant we weren't constantly packing and unpacking and on the move. The wildlife viewing was extraordinary....lions, leopards and cheetahs in trees, the Big Five and just about all other wildlife we could imagine, and most special and amazing of all, The Great Migration.

We visited Botswana for 9 days over New Year (2024/25). This is now the third trip to Africa under the guidance of Sue Praeter.
Our trip was excellent in several ways. Firstly Sue started (as previously) with "What do you want to see?". She organised for us to visit three different habitats/landscapes with correspondingly varied wildlife. The standard of the camps was superb. The internal flights with little planes (or helicopters) were extremely efficient. Transfers between camps occurred during the middle of the day and did not impact on game drives in the morning or afternoon of each day. Helpful advice prior to departure and thoughtful follow-up call afterwards. Brilliant.
All in all, excellent all round. I would thoroughly recommend Tracks.
