The worst customer service I’ve…

The worst customer service I’ve experienced in my life. I got to the online chat because there is no phone to call, and an agent called David got my chat. I told him my situation and instead of trying to help me, the agent was rude calling me a liar and refusing to help me with my issue because my story didn’t “add up”. I really feel disappointed and there is no way I’m recommending this gym to anyone.

Very disrespectful

Very disrespectful - they don't take my medical condition seriously, they make me pay for the full subscription even though I can't exercise anymore and they don't care about hygiene in their gyms.

And then I haven't even began about how bad their availability and response times are.

Total scam

Total scam. Similar to other users feedback, I had to pay hundreds of euros because they kept debiting my account even though I said I wanted to cancel, including ridiculous administrative fees. Every now and then I receive payment notices from collection agencies. Never again.

the scammiest company of this size i have ever encountered.

even though you end your memenership on time, they will come up with an outstanding cost you have to pay. no notice. they do reach out however before they are about to transfer your debt to collectors (mine was 2 euro which is taken out of nowhere and rose to 42 because apparently i was late with paying). the staff at the desks is incompetent, unaware of its own promos or procedures. their booking system with classpass barely works.

overall, i wish they would invest all the money into customer care and EXISTING facilities instead of expanding with new poor quality locations.

incompetence or scum costed me hundreds of euros

I was a member for over a year, the gym was fine except constant problems with sauna and the shower being moldy and grabby. On my last training session I informed the person on the reception that I'm moving out of the city and need to cancel my membership. She took my membership card back and told me that she will going to handle the cancellation. Unfortunately I believed her which ended up costing me hundreds of euros. It is either her incompetence or the scum the gym is running, but the payments were still taken from my account and now, after completing the cancellation form online I get an email that informed me about the upcoming payment for the next month due to 1-moths notice period. And to add salt to injury they sate "This collection will take place around and will be € 0 lower than your usual membership fee".

Amazing gym abd atmosphere

Amazing gym and atmosphere! Everything is great. I love that you have coffee machine and free protein shakes!
The staff is very nice and the gym is never too crowded.

Not worthy the money anymore, SCAMERS BIG TIME

I ended up accruing a debt of 221 euros with incasso after requesting cancellation three months ago through their customer service. Unfortunately, their customer service proved to be quite useless; they abruptly ended the chat without providing any valid arguments.

The reason behind my decision to terminate my membership was twofold: firstly, the prices increased while the quality of service decreased. Specifically, on Monday and Tuesday evenings, it became nearly impossible to secure a locker or find a free machine to train on. Since September 2023, the gym has been consistently overcrowded, seemingly selling subscriptions without regard for the gym's capacity. Consequently, there's a noticeable increase in broken machines and cleanliness issues in the changing rooms.
They might as well rename themselves 'PayMore' given their tendency to hike prices without prior notice.

Horribly dirty gym. Everywhere, especially toilets!!!! Why would you remove sex signs? Just to accommodate to a few confused people? Now entire female population must suffer from disgusting urine all over on the floors including smell! Please change it back asap!!! Its disgusting!

Unbelievable price increases

My corporate fitness membership almost doubled in 18 months. From 45/month to 85/month. No notice, no explanation, no answer upon inquiry. Service decreased during that time. Good equipment, nice people but a bad aftertaste anyway.

Where to start - disappointing in too many ways

Where to start?

First of all, the marketing promise - and contractual agreement - is that members will receive 1 euro back for every visit they make to a Trainmore. But in reality, Trainmore doesn't always make refunds. You have to chase them, and then argue with them because they aren't truthful about the days you attended (even though you log on when you enter the premises so they must have a complete digital record . . . ), and then maybe you will get a refund on your next monthly payment. How annoying is that?

Secondly, the new gym near our home is far too small - that is, the changing room is ridiculously small and therefore unpleasant to use, and there are only two toilets in the building. It feels unhygienic.

Thirdly, it seems that Trainmore's business model is to sell as many memberships as possible, regardless of the fact that the gyms are incredibly crowded, they run out of towels, etc.

Lastly, the monthly charges are very high for what you get in return.

This surely isn't the best gym brand in the Netherlands.

If there is a possibility of giving 0…

If there is a possibility of giving 0 stars that’s what I would have given. I took a corporate subscription with reduced prices. Yet they still tried to charge the full membership fee. So I rejected the direct debit , visited 2 different gyms 3 times in total, and nothing improved. They now restrict access and when I asked with customer support via live chat , they keep saying there are problems with their system while I have wasted many hours just talking with them. It’s the worst possible subscription you can take

Will do anything to get the most money…

Will do anything to get the most money out of you. Offered me to get on a company plan, that "saves me" money with the subscription. Ends up being almost the exact same price as before, but limiting the gyms that I can go to from all of them to exactly one. Simultaneously, billing me for a "change of subscription" fee that brings the overall cost of the year back to where I was previously.
Customer service doing all and anything to avoid having to confront this situation - rather ignoring my pressing on the matter and reading back to me the latest contract.
Abhorrent service, no interest in doing good by their (longitme) paying customers - after 4 years of being with them, this has led me to mark my calendar with a big X to cancel my subscription ASAP.

SCAMMERS DISGUISED AS "GYM MEMBERSHIP"

I have gone back to my home country due to a revocation of my residence permit. I have sent them numerous emails (With proof such as Flight ticket, deregistration from my old address, etc). They still send payments until this day. Costumer service takes a long time to give response and often times they do not even respond at all when I sent them proof to their customer care email. So much for the name "Customer Care" when they only care about taking your money. Beware of this for people that try to subscribe to trainmore, it's better to subscribe to basicfit.
