IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE A COMPLAINT
On the 29th May, 2024 I & my disabled husband travelled from Manchester to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines for a three week stay (returning on 19th June, 2024). We are both Miles & Smiles members & as we had seen on the TA website that my husband qualified for a discount as a disabled passenger I asked for this to be applied when I was buying the ticket via their sales office & for the information to be listed against our accounts for any further travel. This is where the problems began as "Sales" insisted that I would have to deal with their "Feedback" team & produce documentary evidence of my husband's (many) disabilities before any discount could be applied. However, what they were asking for was a physical impossibility, the were insisting on three documents issued to TURKISH citizens by the R.O.T. ie THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY!! They obviously knew that we were UK citizens but it was just as though "computer says no" & there was no deviation from their usual route. I submitted his UK issued documents, (legal & valid), but was refused over & over & even suggested by the advisor to "sort it out" at one of their sales offices in either London or Edinburgh..........a journey of 250 miles for myself & my disabled husband, no words!!! In the end I decided to book anyway as time was going on & we were eager to book before the flight filled & then to re-address the problem when we returned from holiday. The irony at this point was that when I booked the seats I requested that my husband have wheelchair assistance at both Manchester & Istanbul airports because of his disability & it was granted immediately by TA & evidenced by E-mail also immediately without them requesting any proof. Crazy!! I will add at this point that we had no issues whatsoever about the assistance offered at Manchester, Istanbul wasn't exactly perfect but that's another tale & we survived. Also the actual flights were both on time & again we didn't encounter any problems either outbound or inbound. However, since we returned & I have tried once more to make contact with TA I am experiencing the same barriers with their Feedback team (there doesn't seem to be any other department deals with complaints of any kind). I have written several times with full details of our grievances & have submitted, again, the relevant UK proofs of disability but this time it has been cranked up another few notches. It would appear that there are many, many hundreds of Feedback advisors none of whom can read let alone understand anything because several of them seem to pick up the complaints & then they all "reply" with the same generic e-mail which doesn't address any of my points at all & just requests the R.O.T documents ad nauseam. I really am so fed up of this "game" now & a "game" is all I can call it when we are being given such a run around for no good reason. Infact, I feel that it is an insult to my husband & to myself, we are 73 & 71 respectively & are no con artists, we are only interested in anything in life that we are due to but are being made to grovel & then being laughed at for just trying to make his life easier. He damaged his back as a youngster & has suffered all his life from that damage plus he has arthritis in all his joints, he has four replacement joints & high blood pressure, because of prolonged use of anti inflammatory medication he is now restricted to just painkillers for help with his conditions. I hope that if you travel with TA then you have a good flight, as we did, but that if you need their help at any point or have a complaint you have more luck than we have had. I would just finally add.............never make the mistake of calling their Reservations/Feedback line, 0844800666, we had over £30 worth of charges for a short conversation while someone told us to travel 250 miles to "sort it out"...........

The world's worst airline. Apart from being unsafe, in my opinion (and in all fairness, I am a pilot), the customer service is abysmal on Turkish Airlines.
Combine that with the criminal behavior by the Turkish government, and there is NO way any sane human would set foot on a Turkish Airlines plane.
I can't complete the online check-in on…
I can't complete the online check-in on either the website or the app 23h before takeoff. After entering my PNR and last name, it asks for a ticket number. How am I supposed to have a ticket number if I haven't checked in yet?
I tried calling, but there were no options related to check-in. I attempted to chat, but the bot went inactive. When I requested human assistance, there was no response. :-(
Item stolen from checked in case
I'm a frequent flyer and currently hold Gold Elite status with Turkish Airlines.
When I arrived from Manchester to Istanbul last week and opened my case, to my horror my bottle of aftershave was missing. I was sure I packed it as one of the very last items. When I returned home, I checked in case I had forgot to pack the item. It wasn't in my drawer.
The lock has been damaged, my case opened and the item has been stolen!
I don't have the confidence now, I've complained to Turkish Airlines, but when I complained about my suitcase being damaged last time, they we're interested.
As a frequent flyer, I've spend thousands of pounds with them only to be treated like this.
Absolutely shocking, this is theft!!!
Poor customer service and fraudulent practices
My flight was scheduled for June 3rd and when I tried to check in online the system would not let me. When I arrived at the airport it took about an hour for me to check in because they did not have my flight information at the check in desk so they had to call Turkish Airlines to get a code to allow them to print my boarding pass. Once I arrived in Turkey for my 22 hour layover, I went to the airlines tourIstanbul desk to collect the hotel vouchers I had registered for and they told me my flight didn’t qualify since I left from Spain. Turkish Airlines website listed flight from Spain to the United States with a layover of at least 20 hour layover eligible for the free hotel voucher. They allowed me to sign up online when I booked the flight but they denied me the voucher. I also had issues with paying extra baggage fees via their customer service line yet there was no record of the transaction when I checked in for my flight. I had the receipt sent to me by the customer service rep along with my credit card receipt. I had to pay an additional $220 for the bag since they claimed they had no record of the payment. This was my first and last time using this airline.

NEVER FLY WITH THIS COMPANY EVER. Absolutely ridiculous service!! My parents had booked a holiday to Istanbul, they got there fine. On their flight back to the UK they were told the gates to the flight had closed early so were unable to get on to their return flight. They then had to pay for another flight back to the UK there and then! Impossible to raise a complaint with them to ask for a refund and some answers as to why this happened. Do not waste your time with this company. Utterly useless.
Stay away from Turkish Airlines
I bought round trip tickets from Detroit to Beijing and Beijing to Detroit with Turkish Airlines. Inbound went through smoothly. But outbound was chaos and torture. I was in Beijing Capital airport 3 hours before departure on 10th of May., self check in failed, I went to help desk asked for help, they communicated with airline and told me my ticket was invalid, then I went to check in counter, they called airline too and I was told same thing. So I was denied boarding. After countless communication with airline, finally they admitted that their system made mistakes, they will arrange flights for me asap, and told me to retain the hotel receipt to get reimbursed. But the earliest flight available was on 13th of May, I had not choice, so I stuck to Beijing for 3 more days. After I got home, I started communicating with the airline through the feedback. The process was terrible, they lied about the situation, they said I was denied boarding because I was not checked in on time, that’s totally untrue, so I asked the timestamp according their investigation, when self check in attempted, when help desk informed, and when check in counter called , they couldn’t provided. It’s so disappointed that Turkish Airlines treated customers so untruthfully, it’s a shame too.
THE WORST AIRLINE OF THEM ALL
The worst airline of them all. The ground staff in Istanbul are extremely rude, ignorant and arrogant.
We were denied boarding because the flight was overbooked. Instead of dealing with situation with dignity, the staff accused us for being late, even if we were at the gate on time, just at the end of the queue.
The staff member at the gate refused to explain anything and sent us to the customer service desk. At the customer service desk they kept us throughout the night without offering food or water and only in the morning agreed to issue new tickets for the next flight. During the waiting time, the staff treated us like criminals- nobody listened what we were saying, they refused to call for manager or anybody senior in charge. They haven't provided much information. Staff couldn't handle the conversation and shouted at us. One of the staff members just turned around and left the room right in the middle of the conversation. They claimed that we were late but failed to provide any evidence i.e. CCTV footage from a gate. In the morning they issued a food voucher (1 per person for 17 hour wait). These vouchers covered a slice of a plain pizza or equivalent and bottle of water/fizzy drink. Complete joke!
They claim being 5 star airline, but in reality they are worst than any lowcoster!
I requested a letter which would confirm that I was denied boarding and was put on the next flight for my insurance company but they refused!!! They even didn't give me such a simple letter! I requested the same via the email from customer service but same answer again.
In regards to the flights - we had 4 flights in total with them over that holiday. Non of the flights took off on time. Delays up to 2 hours! Aircrafts outdated. Food disgusting, no choice if you are not sitting in the first 5 rows! Staff on board not very helpful either.
I WILL NEVER FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE EVER AGAIN EVEN FOR FREE!! Shame there's no negative rating here.
AVOID TURKISH AIRLINES
Turkish Airlines' utter disregard for passenger well-being is appalling. Despite a 7-hour delay on my flight, the airline refused to offer compensation as promised in their own policies. Stranded on a plane for 4 hours with no water, food, or explanations, it's clear their priority is profit over people. Their empty apologies and lack of accountability are a disgrace to the industry. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy being treated like cattle. Shameful.
Don’t prebook seats
We had pre booked seats from Dubai to Istanbul as we like to sit in front of the airplane. We had booked row 6
But we ended up with row 45, which makes a lot of difference if you have a walking disability.
Turkish Airlines refuses to repay the amount we had paid as they mean that it is ok if the changes take place within the same zone. SO DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SEAT RESERVATION AS TURKISH AIRLINES MIGTH CHANGE.

Turkish Airlines is very bad company, needed support is not available at all... my wife's flight delayed for two hours from tel aviv to istanbul, so she missed her flight to cape town... and she was stuck in istanbul and had to wait for the next fligh which was after 48 hours, No body cares about her stay in this duration, and no body cares about her training that she missed in cape town.. every body from turkish airlines disk inside the airport was treating her rood and badly. Shame on you

I couldn't sleep 41h because of Turkish airline
One of the worst experiences ever in my life!!!!I had a connection flight from Tehran to Istanbul and Istanbul to hamburg! My first flight changed 2times and at the end had around 7h delay! So I just missed the second flight and no one didn't answer us what exactly we have to do! After running the whole day in Istanbul Airport I could get a fly to stuttgart which is so far from hamburg and again I had to pay something around 200€ for train ticket from Stuttgart to hamburg and it took 7h! Cuz of this airline I couldn't sleep for 41h!!!!!!!!

We had a flight delayed from Singapore…
We had a flight delayed from Singapore to IST and due to this, we have missed the our connecting flight to AMS. Now we wrote to their customer service, they not say ignore it by saying they can't do any thing. Even their website doesn't work properly when you are replying. Now we have involved our lawyer. WHAT A SUCKS AIRLINE. NO MORE TURIKISH AIRLINES! DON'T USE TIRKISH AIRLINES!

Pure scam. These guys have cancelled a flight, the email looked like just a time has been slightly changed. Nice catch! Never flying with you again, will make sure everybody i know neither
TK does not care about customers - unbelievable poor service. Never ever again ! Be careful.

* Ground staff did not explain why and did not take any responsibility to find a solution e.g. next flight re-booking or else
* I had to stay overnight at the KUL airport during the entire night to be the first at the TK counter
* at the TK counter, they were not able to find a solution, not really even looking for a solution
* TK hotline pointed me to the TK counter... so we circles no solution
* in the end I had to book an entire new flight as TK was not able and not even trying to find a solution
* after my return now with MH and Qatar which worked great I contacted the TK Feedback Center and opened a case. Very lousy replies just pushing back, also here not taking responsibility not trying to find solutions or customer satisfactory
* I dod not receive any compensation, even the Capsel Hotel at the airport I had to pay
* It is by far my worst airline travel experiences I have ever made.
So in short: be careful with TK, in case you got an issue, be aware that you will be on your own to find solutions. TK will not support you nor take responsibility.

They have lost ALL of our luggages for seven days now and we have been calling and filling forms for days and still no one has any answers or informations for us.
And yet they claim and i quote "We investigate missing baggage using the international baggage location system (WorldTracer)."
is this a joke?! what kind of international tracing system can't find lost luggages for seven days?!!!
we have had the same exprience with other airlines before and they deliverd our luggage in less than 24 hours to our door.
we are never flying with this airline again and would never recommand it to ANYONE.
Warning: You'll Not Get a Full Refund
My worst experience. I purchased a two-way ticket for circa USD 1,400, the return leg alone was about USD 800 (I deliberately chose a more expensive return for the fact that it is "fully refundable" due to uncertain travel plans). First part of the ticket was flown, then I decided to cancel the return leg due to change in circumstances. System quotes USD 366, instead of the full refund (USD 800) as in the ticket condition (their words: total sum, less any part of the journey flown). I called the airline several times, they are not helpful. I used their "feedback" function that they keep mentioning on the call. I submitted four feedback in total (last feedback ref: TK-10448034), but the reply I always get is that robotic corporate copy/paste statement that are generic and mentions nothing specific about my query. Their reply always sounds as if they weren't written by human. I complained about this in my 3rd feedback - alas I got the same robotic reply telling me to read my ticket condition (very upsetting, how could I spend USD 1,400 without knowing what I'm buying?).
My advise for you the reader, if you have any doubt whatsoever of your departure/return dates, stay away from Turkish Airlines. You cannot trust their "refundable" tickets. You're likely to end up like me, spending hours trying to justify that you deserve a full refund, but no one will listen or read your complaints. They make me feel robbed, sadly.

really loved my connecting flight form Moscow to B-ham.... Thanks so much for making life easy for me. Bags no problem..... meals no problem. only little problem I could not pay with the app to get diffrent seats.
My seats seem to have more leg room and space that the other airline I had being using.
