Really horrible service!

Really horrible service from a very high ranking airline, so very very disappointed. Choose an other airline if possible!!!

I booked my ticket about 4 months ago and selected my seats also directly and payed, being certain all was well arranged.

I double check my booking a few days before check-in and I see... no seats selected.

I Whatsapp with helpdesk and the man starts reserving my seats. Good! But then I get the message I waited to long and I have to restart again.
Then my second helpdesk dude chooses to refund my money and tells me I can re-book the seats.
Next day I want to re-book the seats, but I can not choose the seats online.
I Whatsapp helpdesk again and then they just tell me they can not help me after they obviously messed something up, because before I got still the option to book a seat.
Anyway, Turkish Airline obviously doesn't care to react to any of our complaints here, which is an other disappointment for me.
A honost and strong company has the balls to give an open reaction here on trustpilot and show that they care and are trying to make up for their mistakes.
I hope atleast I can warn someone of you with this review to NOT fly with Turkish Airline.

The worst customer service i have ever…

The worst customer service i have ever experienced,
I have been trying to claim compensation for a 5.5hr delay since since October 2023.
They have not been responding when filing the claim,
then finally they agreed to pay the compensation for myself & my daughter and confirmed the cheque claim number in December, since then they have been ignoring my emails, there is no one i can speak to, Last week they sent me two forms to complete and requested additional information which had to be submitted within 5 days, i completed it and returned it by email within 48hrs, they have now said i went over the 5 days deadline and will have to file another complaint, i sent an email stating that i was well within the timeframe of the claim, and they are ignoring it.
They are doing this intentionally and dragging it out past the limit of a claim to avoid paying.

Very dissatisfied

I was bumped off a flight last summer and received paperwork to claim compensation. I still have got zero response from the airline regarding this. You would expect this from a budget airway.

Stopover refused and misleading Customer Service

I am sorry to inform you that I am not satisfied with your customer service. I have been facing issues while trying to book a stopover for my upcoming flight. When I contacted your representatives, I received varying responses. Some told me to book within 72 hours, while others advised me to call before 72 hours. Yesterday, I called before 72 hours and was told that I only needed to contact you within 72 hours of the flight. This inconsistency has caused a lot of confusion and inconvenience for me, especially as I am travelling with children. Despite my attempts to reach out to you, the number provided has never been answered, as evidenced by the attached screenshot. Although I still have some time before my flight, I am not sure if I can rely on Turkish Airlines in the future. Your post-service has been very poor, and I am disappointed with the level of service I have received.

Zero customer service

I flew from Dusseldorf to Ankara airport on 02 January. Two mistakes happened:
I landed in Domestic section in Ankara airport because i had a transit in Istanbul before Ankara, but when I arrived in Ankara, I kept waiting for my luggage and none of us could find our luggage, then we found out that we should go to international section since flight was from Dusseldorf initially. I want to know why Turkish Airlines dropping us in Domestic and then our luggage was left in International section? This was a confusion.
Then I found out my luggage tire is completely broken, I walked to domestic gate where i came from to report the case, they told me to go back to international section to report... once i went there, they said we cant do it because you went out of the international section. I tried to explain, but the customer service was tooo rude to listen and understand. They wanted to get rid of me and told me to report it online. I did it online and it is exactly a month. every week asking for photos and proof and after I sent everything, they just got back to me and said we can't refund you since you haven't reported at the airport... I am not going to travel with Turkish airlines ever again if they don't sort out my case and I will keep reporting them on all of their social medias.

You don't respect loyal customers? I won't respect you too.

Literally zero customer service both online and at the airport.

Correction of name is impossible even you paid for change name fee

Correction of name on airline ticket - Complaint and legal action considered

We bought a return flight ticket from Brussels to Bangkok via travel agency with departure scheduled soon. Unfortunately we noticed an error in the last name. This concerns only one letter, caused by a typo. That is why I repeatedly contacted the airline Turkish Airlines by telephone and email, they responded that this correction must be requested through the ticketing agency, TIX , that agency informed me of the steps to follow and asked me to pay €55 to change the name. Finally they confirmed that there is nothing we can do for me as the Turkish policy guidline is not allow to change name.
In short, We are losing €€€€ for this purchased ticket + 55€ for changing the name = No traveling and have to postpone our wedding date !!! If I try to use the ticket anyway, I will be automatically denied boarding. The only solution would be to buy alot of new tickets (for the whole family and friends)!

Worse Experience Ever...

Worse Experience Ever...
I had a challenging experience with Turkish Airlines during a transit. After receiving my boarding pass, I was informed right before the shuttle bus that I could only board if someone didn't show up due to oversold tickets. Despite being assured a refund, my attempts to follow up were in vain. Their customer service was unresponsive, making it a frustrating ordeal. Overall, the business practices seemed lacking, and the refund promise was not fulfilled.

They canceled my flight and my ticket…

They canceled my flight and my ticket on the same day without my permission. They only paid the tax, the money did not come to me at the place where I bought the ticket, it was collected as a transaction fee. They did not give the ticket price either. The answer they gave when I wanted to change my ticket. My ticket was a cheap ticket, I had no right to change it, even if the flight was cancelled. Officially fraudulent company. They deceive people with food. It's like people are boarding the plane for food and alcohol. I do not recommend it, it is a very bad airline.

l will never fly with Turkish Airlines again.

I flew with Turkish Airlines to Astana, Kazakhstan via Istanbul and returned from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan again via Istanbul. All my flights were business class. The flights were okay but inferior to those of other airlines I have flown business class with. Which is a lot as I nearly always fly business class.
My main complaint is about the short transfer times Turkish Airlines give in Istanbul Airport. There were 11 people on the organised tour I was booked on. Only 4 of us caught the connecting flight on the outward journey. 7 people missed their flight from Istanbul to Astana, Kazakhstan and 5 of them missed the first day of their tour. All of us missed our return flights from Istanbul.
The flight from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Istanbul was late but even so the people who only had 1 hour transfer time would never have been able to catch their flights even if it had been on time. I had longer but still couldn't catch my flight.
As the new Istanbul airport is already a major aviation hub connecting the East and the West and is anticipated to have the biggest passenger traffic in the world the transfer times are not long enough. The airport is very big and it takes a long time to get from the arrival gate to the departure gate and it takes a long time from landing to getting to the stand. Not one of the 11 people on my tour caught their connection flight back to the UK.
I did get back to the UK that night but I was stranded in Heathrow Airport at 23:00 on a Saturday night. I could not get home as I missed my flight to Newcastle. If I had caught the flight from Istanbul I would have had 4 hours to catch the flight. Also my luggage didn't arrive.
I was travelling on my own and I am a pensioner. The whole situation was extremely upsetting and stressful.
I have sent numerous emails complaining about the distress caused as well as the extra expenses incurred due to missing the connection. Every reply stated that it was not their responsibility to pay any extra expenses incurred due to missing the connection. I finally pinned them down to why the flight was late from Bishkek. The stated:
'Flight TK345 Bishkek / Istanbul on16th of September,2023 was delayed for 1 hour and 27 minutes:45 minutes due to late arrival of aircraft due to delay in departure thereof at the previous station,10 minutes due to baggage reconciliation 8 minutes due to air control capacity and 24 minutes due to taxi duration.'
When I looked up extraordinary circumstances for not paying compensation for delayed flights on GOV.UK none of the above reasons for the delay were there.
As I said before, I will never fly with Turkish Airlines again as they do not care about their passengers.
I would advise people not to use this airline.

Flight from Antalya-Manchester via…

Flight from Antalya-Manchester via Istanbul on November 2, flight was delayed from Antalya-Istanbul, arrive at Istanbul to be told the earliest we can fly is tomorrow afternoon (November 3), due to force majeure.. I’d love to know what that cause was. I was told weather, yet London flew only 1 hour after we were due to fly- in fact, departure board showed only 4 flights cancelled over 5 hour period- so no weather issues in UK.. All domestic flights flew, so no issues in Turkey. So far have challenged this 3 times, and had 3 different answers. Firstly, was told my receipts were correct format.. yes they are, my job involves me claiming allowances almost daily, then said secondly receipts weren’t stamped- receipts don’t get stamped, only if collected or refunded. Thirdly, was told my receipts were good, but I’d been catered and accommodated for, so they didn’t have to refund me. I’ll tell you, I got a hotel- 10pm at night, after dinner hours and 8 hours after landed, and fed… 1 meal in 22hrs which was breakfast, that doesn’t cut it when travelling with 2 kids. My advice to anyone: You’ll more likely get rejected in your claim- challenge it.. you’ll probably get rejected again, that’s because it’s not independent. Take it to the regulator; again, you’ll probably be dismissed as, although they are independent, they are independent by means of a board room, but are funded by their members, 1 of them being Turkish airlines, but be prepared to wait around 90 days. Then, all else fails- which possibly will- court. By this time, you’ll have all the evidence. Most cases get thrown out because the process hasn’t been followed, you’ll be told not all avenues have been explored. but if you have followed these procedures, it’ll be down to the airline and ultimately the judge, as to whether you have a case or not. This is totally independent, which will be successful IF you have a GENUINE case. It’s a long process, and they know this, which is hard and draining. But if you believe in your case, then it’s worth it. They know this, it’s a game to them, you just have to play it.

I have given 1 star as, although the ground workers weren’t pleasant in Istanbul, they were under a lot of pressure, they are taking the brunt of Turkish airlines problems- never in my life have I seen a helpdesk so big, it’s like a warehouse, which suggests to me this flight cancellations happens a lot. But the aftercare form call centre to claim expenses has been nothing short of shocking.

A waste of time and money…

I recently had an unfortunate experience with Turkish Airlines that compelled me to share my disappointment. My flight from Hamburg was unexpectedly canceled without any prior notice, leaving me stranded and confused.

What aggravated the situation was the lack of professionalism and courtesy exhibited by the airline's officers. When seeking assistance, I was met with impoliteness and a disconcerting level of irresponsibility. One particular interaction stands out, where I inquired about possible solutions, only to receive the unhelpful response, "I don't know."

Such an experience is not only inconvenient but also reflects poorly on the airline's commitment to customer service. Sudden cancellations are inevitable at times, but the way in which they are handled can make a significant difference.

I hope Turkish Airlines takes note of these shortcomings and implements measures to improve communication and customer support in such challenging situations. It's disheartening when an airline falls short of the expectations one has for a smooth and respectful travel experience.

HORROR FLIGHTS TK Airlines

On May 18 , I had a flight from Brussels to Bangkok and a stopover in Istanbul together with my pet .
My departure flight ( TK1938 ) from Brussels, scheduled for 11h25 was delayed 1 hour .
I hurried to the gate for the connecting flight ( TK 58 ). That flight had already left .
Then I went with my pet to the transfer desk. They told me were to go for transfer to the next flight to Bangkok. There I heard: is overbooked!
I got a flight Istanbul – Dubai – Bangkok together with my pet . ref TK XXXXXXX/
Ticket No 23522XXXXXXXX . After waiting 4 hours I got the flight to Dubai with my pet in the cabin .
Arriving at terminal 1 in Dubai exhausted I quickly went to terminal 3 for the flight to Bangkok (EK 0376).
There I received an unpleasant surprise. It was not allowed to go on board with a pet by Emirates Airlines. There I was standing with my animal
The person in charge was called in and I had to return to terminal 1 to the Turkish Airlines transfer desk . At that time It was already 3:30 in the night of October 19.
At the Turkish Airlines desk I told my story and that I was not allowed to take my pet on board. I was suggested to go the lounge. in the meantime they start to look for another flight to Bangkok .
They promised to contact me in the lounge as soon they had a new ticket for me.
After waiting 2 hours in the lounge with my pet I got no news . So I went back to the desk to ask about my ticket to Bangkok . They sent me back again to the lounge to wait . After waiting 4 hours in the lounge I went back again. In the meantime, there was another person at the Turkish Airlines desk.
This person was not informed about the situation and sent me back to the lounge. He promised me a new ticket to Bangkok and advised to come back later. At that time I was already on trip for 18 hours, stucked in Dubai. All by the failing and mistakes of Turkish Airlines!
When I understood that information or help from Turkish Airlines failed my patience was running out and I was getting angry . Because I had been to the desk at least 8 times . I was told to have a flight with Turkish Airlines from Dubai to Bangkok with my pet. Then I became desperate because I discovered there was no flight Dubai/Bangkok by Turkish Airlines . At 11.00 AM 19 October I became furious and went to the desk for the last time to find out what they where doing .
There was another person present and he told me that Turkish Airlines had made a big mistake! There was only one solution and that was to sent me back with my pet to Istanbul with the next flight 13h40 (TK07650) Meanwhile, an earlier flight had already left the same morning . They could have put me there to.
Turkish Airlines then sent me back to Istanbul together with my pet. After a long night and half a day. I was overtired and totally disappointed with these conditions . When me and my dog arrived back in Istanbul I had to wait another 7 hours for the flight to Bangkok (TK68).
Turkish Airlines should never have sent me to Dubai with my dog!
My trip from Brussels to Bangkok had become a nightmare! The normal travel time is 13 hours.
After 52 hours and many problems I reached my final destination Bangkok. Ofcourse I had a lot of problems finding food,, going to the toilet the dog and so on for 52 hours. Traveling with a pet is then a disaster.
Due to this mistake of Turkish Airlines I had a lot of stress and financial loss by doing my business.
i still waiting answer from TK airlines .....
