Best teaching platform for new teachers
I recently started working for Twenix and as a new English teacher the opportunity is great. I get to speak to many lovely students and work on my teaching skills. Despite the bad reviews about how strict the system is, I actually like the platform because of it. If a student cancels within less than 2 hours, I get paid for the lesson in full. I can choose my own schedule and easily transfer a class if I can't attend it. The support team is very quick to respond, payment process is right on schedule and the webinars I was suggested at the start were very helpful. The most useful thing was watching real recordings of Twenix classes by other teachers during my training. It's an easy side hustle with good results.

A lovely experience..
I've been teaching online with Twenix for just a couple of months now and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The platform is very easy to use and the students I have had are polite, fun and genuinely happy with the results of learning English with this company. I have been paid immediately on time and Twenix constantly keeps me updated with any news about the platform, booking status or lesson plan changes.

Awful for Teachers, Useless for Students, Suspicious Reviews
What happened to the 3.0 rating that Twenix previously had? Like magic, it has changed. If you see any positive ratings from "tweachers" about this company, notice that they all only have 1 review so Twenix is likely fabricating their ratings or incentivizing teachers to write these reviews that sound like they are straight out of ChatGPT. Twenix will automatically terminate your teaching account if your feedback score sits below 4.7. The algorithm they use is flawed because I began receiving automated emails and warnings about poor performance the same week I onboarded before even completing a week of teaching. On top of that, teachers are not rated based on how well they cover the terrible course material, but instead on how entertaining they are. If you are a student/company using Twenix for your learning, you are wasting your time and money. Where Twenix really shines is making ignorant students feel like they are making progress or truly developing their skills, when they are in fact, just wasting their time and money and supporting a company that exploits teachers. From onboarding to termination, you will never see anyone from the company on camera or ever be given anyone's real name. How companies like this can exist within the EU is astonishing.
UPDATE: In response to Twenix's reply on 6/4/24.
Yes, there are other negative reviews for other companies similar to Twenix that operate on similar exploitative business models. As teachers, we need to continue to hold these companies accountable and make it clear to students what exactly they are supporting by using these companies.
Of course, reviews fluctuate. The suspicion comes from the number of positive reviewers (especially from South Africa) who have no other reviews on Trustpilot.
In regards to the rating system, you can find the same problem reported by other past employees across Glassdoor, Google Reviews, as well as other critical reviews posted here on Trustpilot.
As for the lack of a "personal touch", as you put it. I will reiterate that from onboarding to termination, the whole process was automated.

Regarding our feedback system, Twenix does not automatically terminate teaching accounts if feedback scores fall below 4.7 during any given week. Ratings are reviewed weekly, and warnings are only issued after multiple weeks of similar rating issues or absences.
Additionally, Twenix staff members often sign emails with their real names, and we conduct webinars twice a week led by our team on camera. We also host several other meetings and events throughout the year where Twenix staff members appear. Our goal is to build real relationships with our Tweachers and maintain a personal touch in all of our interactions.

Twenix provides great support for both tweachers and Students
Twenix provides great support for valued teachers in e-learning, with timely and generous pay. The students are a joy to teach. They are enthusiastic learners and engage in the lesson material by asking questions, which allows the teacher to provide better assistance. Moreover, they are amicable, and the support provided by the platform is commendable.

I decided to do things differently…
I decided to do things differently following Twenix's way It is Twenixs way or the highway I even changed my persona and the numbers kept falling, but the rating system caused me a lot of stress. Now, I'm hesitant to recommend it to my friends because it feels like it could be harmful. The tough part is, I don't know who's in charge of the rating system, making it even more confusing, by the way, This company asks me to be a 4,8 teacher and look at THIER RATINGS ONLINE THEY ARE 4,3 how can you ask me to be something you are not. THIS IS NOT MY DIARY SO THIS IS MY LAST COMMENT before I get fired, How can I be 5,0 in the first week without any experience in Twenix and then end up with a 4,5 6 months later I would think I would improve, so manipulation or SILENT FIRING maybe there somewhere, I love their personnel but this is killing me.Yes GUYS I GOT FIRED So here is a message to TWENIX you guys are terrible!

I’ve been working with Twenix for over three years, and I’m truly happy to have collaborated with the company, as it promotes an environment of continuous growth and outstanding dedication to update their methodology, as well as to improve both teachers’ and students’ satisfaction.
In addition to the amazing students, who are always eager to participate and to develop their conversation skills, one of the main and beneficial advantages of Twenix is their flexibility. You can choose when to teach and you can do it from anywhere as long as you have your computer and a stable internet connection. In case you can’t make it to a class, it is possible to transfer it (in most cases, although if there’s no teacher available, you’re still responsible for the class).
Another positive aspect of Twenix is that the team is really helpful and respectful when it comes to expressing any doubts, concerns, or suggestions, and they’re constantly searching for more efficient and innovative methodologies.
The classes are already planned and there is a list of suggested questions, so teachers don’t need to spend a long time preparing the lessons.
There is room for improvement, especially regarding feedback, which may result a bit subjective, as students rate teachers on a scale of 1-5 and they’re not required to explain further in case they give bad ratings.
In this sense, I believe that the previous feedback system, in which students left more comments, was more helpful and accurate for teachers.
Overall, my experience has been certainly positive, and I totally recommend Twenix!

I commenced my teaching career at Twenix in March 2023, and I have found great satisfaction in its teaching approach. Twenix's instructional methodology has particularly resonated with me, as it allows me to impart knowledge effectively and engage in meaningful, natural conversations with a diverse group of enthusiastic learners.
One notable strength of Twenix is the simplicity and accessibility of its training materials, which are available at any time and consistently updated to align with students' demands and current educational trends. This adaptability ensures a dynamic and relevant learning experience for our students.
While the platform excels in various aspects, there is an opportunity for enhancement in the area of teacher evaluation. Presently, the evaluation system relies solely on numerical ratings (1-5 stars) without providing a qualitative dimension. Incorporating qualitative explanations alongside the numerical ratings would allow students to express the nuances of their learning experience and provide teachers with valuable insights.
In my personal experience, I have often received a commendable rating of 4 despite delivering smooth and interactive classes. As an educator, I greatly value constructive feedback as it allows me to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of my students. However, a more comprehensive evaluation system would enable a deeper understanding of the underlying reasons for a particular rating, so a teacher would understand the 'why' and 'how' factor.
Despite this minor suggestion, my overall experience at Twenix has been immensely positive, and I am genuinely enthusiastic about contributing to the institution's commitment to excellence in education.

Best job I've ever had!
As a freelance English teacher, it is hard sometimes to find work which allows you to manage your schedule freely. Twenix does this really well. It let's you decide how much and when you want to work, it is truly up to you!
Twenix also has the best onboarding and training programs I have ever experienced in this field of work. Their information is very clear, and they make sure you have understood by complimenting it with video tutorials and webinars. There is really no question that goes unanswered about its methodology or how things should be done.
Moreover, it provides all class material, so you don't need to worry about planning and spending your free time thinking about what to do in class. Once you get the hang of it, you feel at ease before any class.
The overall work environment is great!
I have gladly recommended Twenix to fellow English teachers, and will continue to do so because I am truly happy to work here.

Overall it is very flexible…
Overall it is very flexible and convenient as long as you have an excellent computer and great internet connection. The only two things I am not happy with are the relatively low pay and the fact that teachers need to wait 15min to get paid for a 26min class if the students decide to not show up, but teachers will be marked as absent if they are 4min late for the class.
