I find ubyk rather disturbing.

I find ubyk rather disturbing.
I ordered a Felt FR50 bike via the site and all seemed good.
I got a e-mail describing that they wouldn't take the money from my account before the order was shipped. And to my bike surprise, two days later they removed the money from my account without any notice at all.

I wrote to them telling them that i wanted to cancel my order, in accordance to their 7 days cool down period.
In reply to this email i simply got the reply "Sorry for the delay, we'll ship your order shortly"
Yet again i replied, i want to cancel my order.
Now i get no replies from ubyk, and the order isn't canceled, nor shipped. But they still have my money.

This is as close to scamming as it can be.

Order no 72288. I was told by Ubyk Ltd, my parcel would be delivered within 1-4 working days, it arrived 10am day 2. In perfect condition, via uk royal post.

Great service

I choosed to buy my Hope W35 wheels from Ubyk because this was the only place where I could get them with orange hubs without having to wait for weeks to get them. I had heard of the bad reputation with long deliverence, and tried myself a couple of years ago where I waited for some pedals for ages.

Ordered the wheels and already the day after got a personal email telling me that the wheels would be delayed a couple of days because of high demand on this product. I then got a mail telling me when the wheels was shipped. I got them within a week, which is about as long as I normally wait for a package.

Super service! Ubyk is worth another try if you experienced problems earlier.

wheres my stuff?

I ordered some pedals because price was right but after seeing the reviews I became alarmed. I contacted ubyk and didn’t hear back. It’s been 6 days at this point and nothing so I’m opening a paypal dispute just to hear from them. For comparison I ordered some parts from chain reaction cycles the same day and I’ve already received everything from them. It is what it is

Terrible customer service and delay

On 31st July last year I was told they were about to place an order and it would take 2 weeks for delivery of my saddle. I still hadn't received after 4 weeks, so I chased. I was advised order was stuck in customs and should be sorted in a few days.
Saddles still not received by 13th September, and yet again I had to initiate an EM to find out what was causing the further delay.
In one of the EMs we exchanged they said customer service was important to them, well I wouldn't know it from my dealings.

Quick to charge for order on day 1 but…

Quick to charge for order on day 1 but then three weeks of delay and obfuscation before finally the order was shipped and even then one of the items wrong but no apology when this was pointed out. I will not be using again. Very poor in comparison to the competition.

Stay away from Ubyk!!!

Stay away from Ubyk!!!

I ordered a saddle a while back. It was supposed to be in stock. Ubyk withdrew the money right away, so I thought that it was on it's way.

But no. Nothing had been send. Three weeks later I write to them and get some ridiculous bad excuse that it had to be custom made - but it only took another week before it was ready to get from the US - and I did not order a custom made saddle. So the saddle was not in stock and they communicated nothing until I wrote to them.

Now I suddenly got a full refund without any communication about why. I assume they could not get hold of it after all. All they have done are wasting my time and withheld my money for no reason.

So the thing is - Ubyk withdraws money before they even have the product in stock and before they even send the order - which is not normal practice for webshops. They do not communicate anything to their customers unless you write to them - I guess if you are lucky from the other bad reviews. You only get a notice from the payment gateway. But this does not state exactly what you have ordered.

Ubyk does not comply with even the most minimal of the GDRP and a minimal of customer service is not present. Do not trust this webshop.

Not happy at all!

Order 3 in stock products 31 may... according to webpage they would arrive 5 june. I got the first part 22 june and the last piece 17 august. Not okey!
I have sent countless of emails to try to push this.
I had to order from CR instead to save my bike vaccation for the last missing parts.
I will never order here again...!

Give them a go.

Received some great advice from the guys here. The made sure that I was going for the correct components for both my needs and my bike before I ordered them, and they arrived really promptly. The price was great too.
I cannot recommend them enough. Give them a go.

Don't waste your time

Frankly, one star is too much!
Waited a month for an order, had two emails ignored while a third received a baffling reply and a promise to get back to me, which - of course - never happened.

Edit: @Richard Moir - you managed to reply to this review less than ten minutes after I published it, so thanks for the snippy reply about this review appearing 7 minutes after I sent the fourth email cancelling the order - It's a shame you couldn't respond to emails that quick (or at all!).

About half an hour later I also received an apologetic phone call from a very nice guy called John, so at least very are some human beings at Ubyk

AVOID SHOPPING WITH UBYK!!!!

Placed two orders with UBYK now and both times I've had to chase them after a few days only to find out the items were never in stock in the first place!!! This is after being offered next day delivery on their website!

I have had emails back and forth with Richard and whilst he apologised he then blamed it on a training issue so I informed him I wanted a refund and would go elsewhere after being told it would be another week before they would have stock.

Do yourself a favour and read the reviews on here and shop elsewhere as I'll never order from UBYK again!!!

I just wanted to clarify some things that you have said in your review.
One of the items in your latest order does not have next day delivery available on it.
Your other order you refer to, was and is a pre-order item on the site. We have never shown it as being in stock, since it’s launch, as there have never been good stocks of them . We have been getting deliveries in and shipping them all out in their entirety to fulfil the backorders.
So sorry though that we were not able to get your most recent order to you in a timely manner.

Returned Goods no Money Back

£2750.00 is the amount that Ubyk owe us, we returned a bike to them nearly 4 weeks ago and we still have not had our monies returned I call it theft but apparently the correct term is called "Breach of Contract" as it should of been returned within 14 days, I have called and chased I'm never called back but was told the accountant was "juggling" the money around to be able to pay us back dosent sound too good but was told the money would be back to us by Friday last week we didn't hold our breath !! and it was a good job as guess what it didn't arrive I called again yesterday and guess again no call back and money still not with us the laid back and half soaked attitude of this company beggers belief to not have the courtesy to return our calls is just down right rude and ignorant customer service at its finest, in the meantime I have logged the complaint with Trading Standards they have taken this companies details and now the letter writing begins and then court action follows, of course Ubyk could always do the decent thing and return the money that does not belong to them to save us all the hassle and agro of a court case and dragging their name through it - I will keep you posted as events unfold I will say if you are not sure about a purchase from here then please dont .... The terms that are on your site are just YOUR companies terms Richard they are not actually what the law states, the law is that funds should be initiated and returned within 14 days of goods being received back - after speaking with you yesterday you are still making us wait until next Thursday 2nd August for payment Why .?? this is just not acceptable the funds need to be returned to us straight away, you are holding onto funds that you have no legal right to.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service, avoid like the plague. State they have goods in stock, then after 2 weeks of having your money tell you they they dont actually have it and it'll be with you some time the week after. This is why people don't use small independent cycle shops anymore.

Fast shipping, great price

I'm hard to impress, but today - only 4 days after placing an order at Ubyk - I got my parcel in Poland. For last 10 years I've been ordering bike items from tens of shops in Europe (mostly UK, Germany), but have never received the int'l order so quickly. I also appreciate the discount price for the excellent DMR Vault pedals in chrome. Thank you.

I should have read the reviews

I should have read the reviews. Also had issues with them actually sending an order - they clearly don’t have product on their site in stock so I’ve been waiting weeks for them to shop a crankset they had as ‘in stock’. This is my second order with them, and I had the same issue the first time but gave them the benefit of the doubt - Cleary shouldn’t have!

For the last two weeks Richard has said ‘we’ll send them tomorrow’. Don’t order off them - just buy them elsewhere.

AVOID - If I could give 0 Stars I would

If I could give 0 Stars, I would.

Avoid Ubyk like the plague. They advertise products on their site as "In Stock" when in reality they are not, and nor do they have the capability of getting the items within a reasonable time.
For something that was "instock", I waited 5 days and then on the 5th day they were still waiting for this from the supplier.

Based on the numerous reports of this, I will be enquiring with trading standards as to whether this is legal/ethical, as they are essentially taking money under a false pretence.

Customer service is non-existent, and saying "sorry" when you don't actually mean it counts for absolutely nothing.
