Utter scam

Utter scam. Took money for a call out fee and purchase of required new treadmill belt. Came out (in very expensive super smart Range Rover), was here for 10 minutes, said he had been sent the wrong belt and drove off, never to be heard from again and is not replying to any form of communication despite multiple messages being left.

I had taken the day off work…

I had taken the day off work specifically , he told me he would arrive between 4-6pm after all day waiting for him to get back to me and then at 7:30pm said sorry it’s too late to come now. Waste of my day and time.

Scam company

Scam company. Paid a deposit and then extra cash on arrival. Spent half an hour looking at the cross trainer and told me it would need a part. Not heard from anyone since despite calls and messages to the company. Please don’t use them.

Matt is a scammer

Matt is a scammer! I contacted him to look at my gym machine with some missing parts. He said he is able to order and make some of the parts. He charged me £89 for his visit to take measurements of the missing parts. After taking my money, he disappeared and was not contactable ever again. Avoid this company please.

FRAUD ALERT - Matt has taken my money and not provided the goods

Matt came to look at my treadmill to provide an engineer report. He insisted that I pay £89 via bank transfer and not by card - he couldn't be bothered going to his car for the reader. Mistake on my part here. He didn't touch the treadmill to diagnose, he just looked at it from afar and said he could tell what was up with it straight away. He left to make his report. I am £89 lighter and have no report. He is uncontactable. FRAUD ALERT.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

AVOID THIS COMPANY. Please read the other reviews and draw your own conclusions. I arranged to have my treadmill serviced on 28.03.24 and specifically requested an early morning appointment. Matt provided an ETA of 10-12 and text to say he was running late with revised ETA of 1.15. He arrived just before 2pm. Due to the age of the machine and wear on the belt a service was not carried out and the only action taken was to put some lubricant underneath the belt. I agreed to pay a fair and reasonable contribution towards travel, time and materials but this was rejected by the owner. The company are demanding payment of £89 for a 'diagnostic fee' with a threat to progress via a small claims court if this is not paid within 24 hrs. I would urge anyone else who has had similar issues to contact Trading Standards.

What a waste of time this guy is.

What a waste of time this guy is.

Alarm bells did ring when he turned up in a van ready for the crap yard.

Said he'd fixed the treadmill bearing problem with glue.

Charged us £150 and hassled me for payment even though we hadn't tested the machine. I ran it for a few minutes a day later. Seemed ok but no receipt given. Next day my wife ran on it and it wasn't working again.

Told Matt and he said he'd order the part and he'd come and fix it for more money.

Kept reminding him and he doesn't reply.

Wish i'd read TrustPilot before booking him.

Waste of time and money.

Didn’t bother to turn up on the first appointment. Waited in all day. After chasing him ..said he was ill . Made two further appointment days and didn’t bother to turn up or contact. Chased him said he would definitely be there by 5 but not heard from him since . Phoned again to hear voice message saying he too busy so don’t bother leaving voice mail or texting. I would recommend leaving him well alone

Matt came to l daughters…

Matt came to look at my daughters nordictrack bike with no intention of repairing it on the day as he came with no parts even though I told him about broken wire and possibly blown control board. He took it apart and left it apart, charged £89 and left saying he will contact me regarding parts. That was 7 days ago still no reply. Is he trying to string out the repair to several call outs? You make up your mind.

Matt is absolutely great

Matt is absolutely great, came out quickly and knew his stuff. Our treadmill will fixed at a great price, much cheaper than another company quoted. Overall very impressed. Definitely be in touch for our service next year.

If minus stars were an option they…

If minus stars were an option they would get it. Visited my home and have taken parts with them to fix and now I’m being ignored. So they have STOLEN parts from me. Phoned, texted, emailed and even found the owner on FB - Mat Barber (Boston, Lincs) and messaged him there, still absolutely nothing. Only thing to do is to pay them a visit.

Does not return calls or come back to…

Does not return calls or come back to you when you put in a service request. Totally unreliable. Don't wast your time - and money, judging by some of the other reviews - trying to get this company to look at your gym equipment.

Avoid!

They charge £89 to come and look at your faulty equipment and tell you they are ordering a part to repair. They then ignore all messages and do not return to carry out repair.

Treadmill repair

We required our home treadmill to be repaired. Initial response from Matt was friendly and quick. Appointment was made with no problems and technician diagnosed problem quickly, however did not have correct parts in van to make repair. Was advised parts would be ordered and we would get a call to organise repair. Over 4 weeks later and after constant chasing and excuses we are still waiting. 2 appointments have been made for the repair to take place, again more excuses given after constant chasing. Matt even goes as far as telling us that the technician did have the parts and could have done the repair on the initial visit. The technician has also taken parts of our treadmill with him meaning we can’t get it repaired with someone else. Overall very poor after a very positive start.

I contacted the company to repair my spinning bike

I contacted the company to repair my spinning bike as the resistance band had snapped. A picture was sent out to the company of the repairs needed. A technician came to the house and measured the band and would order the correct size. The charge was 89 pounds for this visit. 2 weeks later, after alot of chasing, the technician came back with a box of bands, no new band had been ordered, these bands were in their stockroom. He did not have the correct size so would now have to order a new one. This should have already been done. 2 weeks later and still chasing the technician, no replies, email address no longer works and their website seems to have been discontinued
