Extremely poor customer service

Experience has been nothing but negative so far. My order was shipped in two parcels. First parcel with the printer arrived promptly but was left in front of the house on the street for anyone to take. Luckily, my neighbour took it in so it doesn't get stolen. The second parcel arrived and it was an empty, already opened box. After countless emails, customer services are trying to put the responsibility of investigating on me which is against consumer law. They are unwilling to resolve the issue by either replacing the missing part of the order or issuing a refund. I'm considering returning the printer because this just shows anycubic is not helpful to their customers and if this is the start, how will they assist with any other issues or queries going forward.

Empty promises and poor quality printer

I have the anycubic kobra s1 and ive not been that impressed. I wish i had gotten a p1s.

The wifi chip they used in it is 2.4ghz single band ONLY. you have to make a dedicated 2.4ghz ONLY wifi and not all routers (especially the router that came from your ISP) support this, dual band is now the norm. Mine has had to be connected to my phone's hotspot from new, nothing else works. Super janky. Why? To save £2.50 per model? Give us a proper wifi chip in your printers please?

Anycubic promised there would be quick swap nozzles. There isnt. Replacing the nozzle is not easy, you have to unplug a plug with a clip on the inside of the print head and its facing the inside of the printer so you have to unclip it without seeing it. Its also the entire nozzle assembly, with heater block and silicon sleeve that gets replaced. The print head cover is also not magnetic, and the cable for it is very very fragile.

There is no chute obstruction sensor. My filament waste chute got clogged 3 times so far. One of those times resulted into a massive print failure, a huge amount of filament built into the poop chute and onto the nozzle, resulting in the print head slamming into the build plate and warping a corner.
The printer then wouldnt print anything on the left side of the plate, nothing woukd stick to the build plate. Had to manually adjust screws inside the hotbed to raise that corner to get it to print again, but it could do with a print bed replacement (which anycubic does not want to provide for free under warranty..)

Anycubic primised there would be a 0.2mm nozzle available shortly after release.
It took them 6+ months to release it, and they released a 0.25mm nozzle, not 0.2. Its also brass only. They also have not tested it properly and the print settings in the anycubic slicer for the 0.25mm do not work well, purging and ejecting poop through the chute doesnt work because the thinner filament stands clump together causing clogs, the nozzle gets clogged constantly, and the print quality isnt much better than with the 0.4mm nozzle anyways.

Talking of print quality: its not good for overhangs. And i cant seem to make it stop making layer shifts randomly. There seems to be issues with the y axis. I have calibrated for flow and pressure advance, i tried with or without flow calibration, no difference, still get layer shifts. Have cleaned and greased z axis and y axis, no difference.

The ACE unit has an issue where, when loading a new filament, instead of loading it correctly, the filament somehow wedges itself through a gap inside the mechanism and unravels itself all over the inside of the unit. You then gotta take it all apart to remove the filament and stuff.

It took 7 months for them to unlock the purging coefficients , before that its was a flat value between 0.5 and 3.0 on the printer itself, and that could only be changed mid print.

They released an update for their slicer at some point, and that update somehow caused the whole software to instantly freeze and not work when launching. The only fix was to somehow find an older version of the slicer and not update it. Despite my emails (that they ignored), it took them a month to fix that.

The ai detection ONLY works if you use the printer in cloud mode, not lan, or usb, and ONLY if you start a print from a desktop computer remotely, not from the printer itself.
The ai detection is also useless. Absolutely useless. It detects nothing when a print fails, but will pause a print in the middle of the night for absolutely no reason.

Anycubic took AGES to release print profiles for their printer and slicer. Had to make my own for ages, and the print profiles are not good. The only high quality profile is for 0.2mm layers. Everything else is just standard fast profile. When you compare that to bambu lab, they have fast, standard and high detail profiles for every single layer size.

The printer is also LOUD. there is a quiet mode but all that does is halve all the speed.

There is also no live chat, no phone lines, no way to contact them. Just an ai bot, and message service or email address. It also takes them a very long time to reply.

Overall the printer works and I have 600 print hours, but I wish I had gotten a bambulab instead.
The printer needs a hot bed replacement ideally, and you need to purchase a fancy internet router to get the stupid thing to connect to the internet. I wish I could return it for a refund.

Anycubic also made lots of promises when the printer was released, none of which they actually delivered. Promised 0.2 nozzle compatibility ? Nope. Noticed user friendly print profiles ? Nope. Promised automatic flow calibration? Flow calibration makes no difference.
Promised the early bird price would be cheaper than rrp as thanks for preordering early? That's was a lie, its mower cheaper than I paid.

Save your money and stick to bambulab people

The customer service is brilliant

The customer service is brilliant. A very quick response time and extremely helpful. I had a damaged LCD screen and they sent out a replacement with no quibbles. They also provided relevant links.
I would definitely recommend this company

Avoid Anycubic

Avoid Anycubic – Poor Quality & Support
Bought a new Anycubic Kobra S1 that’s never worked from day one. Support made me replace parts myself instead of offering a refund, which delayed things until they claimed I was outside their 30-day return period. Now they refuse to cover return shipping.
⚠️ Tip: If your printer arrives faulty, don’t accept replacement parts — insist on a refund or replacement immediately. Their process traps you in endless “repairs” and no resolution.

Good people doing a good job.

The support I have received for the multiple issues I have had (on multiple printers, I have many Kobra 3's, & S1 combos) has been generally excellent. As with anything things can go wrong but the guys and girls of Anycubic support do seem to actually try to get to a solution that doesn't involve buying something that is priced at half of the cost of a new printer, in fact the spares are reasonably priced, and you rarely feel like you are being taken advantage of. The bits often need to come from China, but even so the shipping time is also reasonable.

Anycubic Kobra S1 endless problems and inadequate support

I am withdrawing my previous 5-star rating. Unfortunately, nothing is being done except stalling.

I would like to briefly summarise the situation for everyone's information.

Three months ago, I purchased two Kobras1 printers. One of them malfunctioned last month, and they sent me a new motherboard, stating it was a motherboard issue. This process took about 15 days. Everything was normal up to this point. However, two days after the new motherboard arrived, the other printer broke down. After numerous exchanges with a support team member named Suarez, they told me they would quickly send me an extruder because the extruder was broken. A week passed, and when I contacted support again to inquire about the shipment status, they said it would be in stock by the end of October and would be sent to me once it was in stock. And they asked me, 'Do you still want to wait?'

Of course, in the meantime, the other printer with a faulty motherboard crashed during printing with the message “print head box dropped” (I can send a screenshot if anyone wants it. I don't think I can upload it here). I reported the situation to the support team again. I think they got annoyed with me constantly sending support requests because of all these problems, so now they are giving me vague answers.

In one of my support messages, I mentioned “how poor quality the materials used are”. And now I'm repeating it here. The materials used are poor quality. Printers that are less than three months old can't escape faults and problems. If Anycubic doesn't find a solution to this, I think their sales will drop significantly. Because I won't be recommending Anycubic to anyone anymore. Their inadequate support and telling me they can only supply parts that I can get anywhere else in 1-2 days within 15-20 days shows how seriously they take their business.

Do not buy the Anycubic Kobra S1 under any circumstances. I can only say that you should not buy this product. I don't know about their other products, but judging by the support process they provide, I think the same support issues will arise with their other products as well.

Excellent service, long part delivery times.

A part of my extruder housing broke, rendering the extruder and printer unusable. I contacted support at about 1:30pm, and by 4:30am, I had a response, was sent a link to submit my shipping info and had confirmation that a new extruder was on its way. That is absolutely brilliant! My only real gripe is that it’s been almost 2 weeks and the new extruder still hasn’t arrived. I really wish they had more parts in a UK warehouse with a 2-3 day delivery window.

Brilliant service

After a firmware update, the resonance calibration failed and prevented printing to commence. After contacting Anycubic and submitting a short video, they diagnosed the fault and sent me out new parts. I received the parts in three days. So a total of four days from the fault occurring and I’m up and running again. I think that’s brilliant service. Thank you Anycubic.
