Love the jelly star. Delivery was quick.

Amazed how functional all apps are on the tiny screen, haven't had any issues there.

The order process was smooth; tech support was prompt; the new product (Star) is far better than the last product (2e) - in terms of SMS capability on my network.

So from the web dev's on the ordering screen, to logistics in order fulfillment, to the tech support behind workcenters, and R&D on product improvements... all great!

First, be careful when speaking with your service provider if they will support this phone. Mine (AT&T) said they would, but then told me they were unable to. Just refer to Unihertz list of approved carriers.
While I was ultimately unable to use this phone, the Unihertz customer service team was very helpful in letting me return it and get a refund. They helped me through the entire process to make sure I would get my money back, and even tried a few solutions to see if the phone would work with my carrier (even though those ultimately failed).
So, while I can't give a full review of the product itself, I can say that Unihertz customer service workers have my respect and thanks.

The online purchase was fine.

Am not all that thrilled about the internal battery of the titan slim swelling up every 12 months or so. That needs a FW fix to sort out.

I like the little jelly star, but had trouble getting it to work with a normal carrier. I was trying to get verizon but I lucked up and got a MVNO for T-mobile which worked OK. I like the idea of a Chinese company building these custom rigs mainly for old farts like me is cool, but they also have state of art parts like Android 13 and the keyed phones are excellent. I would carry one of these if it were socially acceptable. :-D Please work on the customer service some guys. I can't really understand how it works with the e-mail and facebook chains. I don't have FB and don't want it. I mean Meta... Looking at some new ideas/models you have for retro-grouches :-D Cheers - cob

Very good Service and Communication. They even contacted me for a mistake in my order (if carry case and protection glass are for different models, one might be wrong...), we fixed it via email and the correct stuff was delivered quickly to Europe.
If Unihertz now manages to get latest Android Updates, it's perfect :-)

I didn’t get headphones inside the box.

DO NOT BUY. OUTDATED. TERRIBLE COMPANY. They are shipping phones with old security Android 11 updates from 2022. They have no security updates available. NOW ANDROID 11 IS COMPLETELY DISCONTINUED and Unihertz is still selling these deprecated, not-fit-for purpose phones.

They send misleading and threatening information "chargebacks will damage your credit report" and "harm your bank account".

Avoid this company. Their site somehow already knew my card details. One accidental click and a phone was mistakenly ordered. Emailed straight away to request cancellation. But these guys make up reasons to not refund your money, in violation of the card company’s rules. They want to keep $13 just for cancelling my order. My card company say this is unacceptable and they will support me. Don’t even consider their website.

I bought several phone for years at Unihertz, because I try to avoid buying Apple or Samsung.

Unihertz's products arevery bad, they always break or dysfunction after a couple of months, and their clients service is very very bad and rude.

Today 27 December, 2023, finally, the camera software has been updated for the Tank 3 from 8849 Unihertz Brand.

After this update, my son has updated me that, pictures made with this phone is the very best he ever had. He said to me, pictures are stunningly great and very impressive for a Telephone.

I am very happy for him because before this update, the phone was making poor pictures, not anymore!.

I highly recommend this brand, it is a serious hardware concept with serious tools built in for professionals, for those that are tech freaks, there is nothing to compare with this monster phone.!

A laser finder till 40 meters is included built in the phone, compass, loud meter, level meter and many other utilities built in.

Best photo handy available today with a Samsung lens of 200 Megapixel main camera and just updated for the very best image quality.

All the rest of cameras have 64 Mega pixels and front camera 50 Megapixel. This handy has night vision camera too, where is not possible to see anything, this phone can see and make great pictures in the middle of the darkness too. 4K Video with extremely quality is also there. Dimensity 8200 Octa-Core 16 GB RAM 512 GB

And so many other options like, filming and pictures making under water, totally water, dust and fall proof.

IMPORTANT. This phone is a beast of 666 grams of weight, for heavy hands and those which love technology. This is a serious hardware for people that understand that quality is a priority.

I bought a jelly 2 around 2020 after considerable market research of the less known brands. It is an incredible little phone with two sim cards that does everything a large phone does (if you have good eyes and small fingers). It makes steady wifi calls, which is an important feature when we are overseas. On occasion, however, it fails to start, enters into a chinese menu, and I have much trouble restarting it in English. I could buy a newer model, but I read everyone's frustration with deliveries and scamming, so I hesitate. It's a pity.

The phones these people make are above all, genuinely. The jelly 2 was the first phone I've had from them, and it is wonderful. You would think that having such a small phone would hinder your, well, phone, but after about a week you really get used to it and I have proudly been using mine for 2 years (it wont let me chose the correct date, it was December of '21). The value of these phones is also awesome, like, people, you don't need to spend 1.2k on a phone, the tank came out a bit ago and I've heard that its really good price to performance.

Excellent phones, the jelly 2 and jelly star are the best phones I've ever owned.

Support is very subpar. Was told I could get my screen repaired, and after several exchanges they told me it was out of warranty and I could either wait up to several months for it to be fixed, or pay ($135!) For a new phone. Keep in mind I could get a brand new one for $200 and keep the old one. However now they offer Jelly 2 screens, batteries, and even camera modules. So they earn their stars back.

Very unsatisfied with support, but their phones are very impressively engineered.

I pre-ordered a Jelly Star via the unihertz website. It shipped sooner than I expected, but in tracking there were odd messages like address incomplete, and please contact the carrier and could not access the front door. These messages were false, the deliverer never came near my front door which opens straight onto the path.

I emailed unihertz with this, they told me to contact amazon logistics. I contacted amazon logistics, and they told me to contact unihertz. After some persuading on the phone I was put through to someone who could actually deal with by request. It turns out my address information was correct, and the package had not been lost and everything was fine. A few days later I got the tracking message that the package was undeliverable and had been returned to sender, and I would receive a refund once the return was processed. I again emailed unihertz this, and asked them to confirm that I would be receiving a refund. They replied I would *if they received the returned package*

Amazon logistics has terrible reviews on this site. and other uk customers of unihertz have had issues regarding shipping.

I received an email saying they had received the returned package and they have asked me for my address so they can resend it again. I am asking for a refund instead.

Update:
They have said they have refunded my account for the cost of the phone only. I paid £12 for nothing, but at least I should be getting most of the money back. I did include my protest in the email for being charged shipping even though the phone never reached my front door. But I am partially happy that I got most of my money back.

update 9th November
I received an email from unihertz. The crux of it is this
"I kindly request that you update your review based on a fair assessment of your overall experience. As a gesture of goodwill, I am prepared to apply for a refund of $15, which was deducted from your previous order as the processing fee."
The email also defended amazon logistics incompetence.
I have reported this to trust pilot via their whistle blower form, as I am quite sure unihertz would not be offering me my $15 back if I had not written the review.

Further Update:
They attempted to have trust pilot remove my review, I had a set number of days to provide my evidence of purchase. I provided the evidence and thankfully my review remains.
