Very bad quality don't worth the price

I purchased a polo shirt from your Dubai Mall boutique for 2,900 AED. I was excited about adding this piece to my wardrobe, expecting the high-quality craftsmanship synonymous with the Valentino brand. However, after wearing the polo shirt only twice, I discovered a manufacturing defect: the stitching is of poor quality, leading to torn threads and a noticeable hole in the fabric.

Unfortunately, I was traveling outside the UAE when I noticed this defect after the first wear, which prevented me from returning to the store immediately. I carefully kept the polo shirt in its original Valentino bag along with the receipt, intending to address the issue upon my return.

A few days ago, after returning to Dubai, I visited the same Valentino boutique in Dubai Mall to seek an exchange for the defective item. To my surprise and disappointment, the sales staff's response was far from what I expected from a luxury brand:

The first sales associate I spoke with dismissed the issue, suggesting it was "normal" and offered to send it to a tailor for repair. This response was shocking, considering the item was practically new and clearly had a manufacturing defect.
When I requested an exchange due to the defect, he responded with a dismissive smile and said he would consult with the manager.
A few minutes later, another staff member approached me and reiterated the offer to have it fixed by a tailor. His attitude was rude and unprofessional, making me feel belittled and ignored.
I explained that I purchased the item expecting the high quality and luxury associated with the Valentino brand, and that it was unacceptable to have to send a newly purchased item to a tailor. When I mentioned that I could escalate the issue to the Consumer Rights department in Dubai, he casually replied, "Yeah, go ahead!"
As I was leaving, I left the bag with the defective polo inside at the store, but I was forced by the staff to take it back, even in front of other customers, all the way to the door. This behavior was shocking and completely contrary to what I expect from a luxury brand...
Despite expressing my concerns about the quality and the principle of paying a premium price for impeccable products and service, I was met with indifference and was even encouraged to take the matter to consumer rights authorities when I mentioned this option

Terrible do not order from these…

Terrible do not order from these crooks! Ordered a ring which arrived with one of the diamantes missing. Arranged a return, booked dhl collection but they didnt turn up to collect. Decided to just keep the ring after courier never arrived to collect the ring but after wearing it for 1 day half of the diamantes had fallen out! Absolutely shocking quality for the rip off prices they charge, will never but anything from Valentino again!!

Not as Luxury as You Think

I purchased a Valentino tote at the store in Beverly Hills and I have not been able to use it as each time I carry it, the studs pop off.

My daughter bought the gold bow earrings at the South Pacific Mall store and they don't even stay on her ears because the post is too short to accommodate any size ear.

My husband ordered me a handbag and gold stud bracelet. Although I love the bracelet and handbag, I did not receive a box for my handbag. It literally came in a brown box and it had a piece of tissue paper and the dust bag. I emailed requesting if I could get a box as I like to store my handbags in their boxes and they asked me for my invoice, photos of what the packaging looked like .... really? Would Chanel or Dior do this? Sadly, just know you won't get the royal treatment that the other luxury stores give you when purchasing from Valentino.

I'm thinking maybe they aren't as luxury or quality as I thought they were.

Terrible Valentino Customer Online Support

I purchased 2 rockstud kitten heels in their online site on Jan 2024 and after 2 wears, the front pointed parts were easily worn out compared to the flats & high heels I bought from Neiman Marcus years ago. I even put rubber protective soles on both pairs of shoes. The black kitten heels 1 buckle closure was also defective and it kept falling off and the front pointed part was even opening. I emailed Customer Support and they said to bring it to a boutique or ship it to them. I brought it to a boutique in East Hampton (the staff are wonderful) & the manager there advised me to purchase replacements as he also know the refund or repair may take time & I did that same day I returned the products. I waited for 2 weeks before I inquired & got a reply that they will look into the matter. After a few days I saw a refund on my account but only for 1 pair of shoes. I inquired again & they replied that the other one was rejected with an image of the heel worn out. I replied that it was not the heel i was inquiring about but the front pointed part. So if I did not inquire, when will they let me know & now I am stuck with 2 poudre pairs as I had a cobbler put toe taps to protect the front of the new pair. They only offered to return the rejected poudre, i asked if they can repair the front pointed part-they said to bring it to the boutique i purchased it or nearest boutique or ship it to them-so I am back again to square one? As the boutique already shipped the shoes to their warehouse for return or repair-why do i need to do it again? They still have the shoes because they said it will take 7-14 business days + 2 days for the shoes to ship, for me to get the rejected shoes back. I am highly disappointed as to the quality of the materials of their renowned kitten heels nowadays compared to before and yes, I agree that their Customer Support is terribly poor, no names who you are dealing with on their end, no follow-ups, no ways to appease the clients-no empathy for their clients. Regular & other high end brands are waaay better than them. They should be more proactive with updating their clients’ return process, and hopefully their materials & products will be like before that have better quality & workmaship that their customers will satisfied with what they paid for.

Just rang up the Valentino store in new bond st and the lady that answering the phone her manner of speaking was descusting and she keep calling me madam and I'm a male and she wouldn't let me speak she was shouting down the phone at me I'm mortified no should talk some with such a descusting manner I'm going to sort camo trainers out that have paint on the soles and their marked someone need to teach the girl that answers the phone not speak in that tone of voice to any one and she must let people speak and not interrupting when people are speaking it was the new Bond Street store I rang on 020 7647 2520

The best aftercare I have ever received!

The aftercare service I have received from Emrach, in the Bond St store has been nothing short of spectacular!

Having been a customer of many fashion houses over the years, I can honestly say that a recent minor issue with Valentino was the best support I have ever received.

Emrach went out of his way to inform me of the next steps through the process. Absolute pleasure, thank you!

My daughter bought a Valentino bag from…

My daughter bought a Valentino bag from House of Fraser in October 23 and the straps became damaged terribly after 4 weeks. Very poor they look like a peeled banana. I'm writing this as we've followed the HOF refund procedure and heard nothing despite Valentino bags having a supposed warranty for 6 months. I'm not happy as this was a 21st birthday gift and we're left with a poor product. Valentino, please contact.

Rude people

Rude people, after ordering perfume online with 25% off, hadn’t received any confirmation email about the order but the money were taken from my bank account, contacted them via email in which they explain how there is nothing made under my name or my email address on the top of that they suggested me to delete my Internet whatever that means

I really had a bad experience with…

I really had a bad experience with their customer service. I bought the stocking from them, and when I tried the stocking, it took not even 10 minutes, and I just realised the stocking was ripped off. I was disappointed and sad with the quality because this is Valentino, not cheap stocking. Even the Wolford stocking will be ripped off after one month of use. So I tried to do reclamation and send the pictures with the tag ,but they refused. It was such a shame because they are a big brand, but they do not know what satisfied their customers. From this experience, I will never buy from them again.

Extremely poor customer services. Take ages to refund. There is no timeframe for them to come back when they see that it has been escalated. Extremely poor quality for extremely high exploitative price.

No Cancellations

I ordered a perfume for my daughter for Christmas. It has not shipped. I contacted them via email 11/28 to advise I wanted to cancel my order. As of 11/30 I had no response.

I called on 11/30 to cancel per their website and was told they don't do cancellations. Their website says you can cancel the order under the FAQ's.

You're a designer brand but can't part with $125 I paid? I'm guessing they are in dire financial straits. Refusing a cancellation isn't normal. I can do that at Target but not a designer brand?

The cancellation was not due to the shipping time. My daughter's dog needed emergency vet care and it was $630. She did not have the money to pay for it and agreed to have less Christmas gifts to compensate for me paying for vet bills. This was explained in my original request to cancel my order.

As explained to the person who took my call, this was my first and last purchase with Valentino.

Even worse, you cannot just refuse shipment like Valentino tells you. Or return to UPS. I took it to the UPS Store and they told me I had to take it to th e UPS Hub. IDK how other cities work but ours is a not so great neighborhood 20 minutes away.

So Valentino/Loreal do ya'll actually care about climate change because you force shipped an item I did not want, refused to cancel, made me drive 15 minutes to "The UPS Store" only to be told it had to go the the UPS Hub, made me drive another 20 minutes, and put it back in a truck to return what I told you I did not want 2 weeks ago?

Such a waste of resources as well as my time. Not to mention not a care in the world for my daughter's dog. Many places I shop would be disappointed to lose the sale but be happy his vet visit saved his life. Still waiting for that happy email....not gonna hold my breath.

Valentino sneakers dont buy

I bought the shoes one year ago. I have worn them max 3 times. Beautiful white at the begning but the Shoes got dirty so fast and when I tried to clean them they got yellow! Its ridiculous. Its not possible to clean them anymore.Such an expensive product and the quality i can rate for zero. Dont buy sneakers from them. Same thing happened with my boyfriend valentinos after wearing them once. This is a joke.

If you want shoes for “one time only” and pay a fortune - that Valentino is the place to go. Two pairs of shoes are worthless as one has soles coming off (ungluing) and the second after one use has the tiptoe of the soles - off. Customer service useless …..

Failed to deliver, got hit with £150 VAT charges

Ordered £800 worth of goods, bag and some perfume. The bag never left Italy, they managed to send it to themselves (I tracked it). The £28 perfume arrived in the UK but with a customs value of the full order, so UPS tried to charge me £150 vat. Meanwhile Valentino refunded the bag, but I'm now being chased by UPS for the VAT and presumably at risk of penalty charges. Absolute joke of a company given the high end costs, dreadful (but exquisitely formatted) customer service. Avoid like the plague.

Order made on the 13th of July and…

Order made on the 13th of July and still no feedback from Valentino customer service and it has been more than one month and half. Managed to reach out today and only they can proceed with refund. Even no sorry or apologies for the delay, no commercial gesture to make a customer happy…se disappointing…luxury prices but without luxury commercial services…

The poorest quality of Valentino’s bag

The poorest quality I have ever met. I bought Valentino’a bag through Farfetch in December 2022. I used it very carefully and in April 2023 sighted holes on the corners of the bag. After that I applied 2 times to the Valentino’s customer service and they replied that it is because the bag is manufactured from the delicate leather. The bag was used less than one month in total and this significant defect appeared. But Valentino’s service sure that it is normal for the bag which costed more than 2000 EURO.
