Charging for a product they never had in stock
I asked when the knog scout for Android is in stock. The person answered in about a month, just like their website says. I wrote to Knog, asking when a new batch will be delivered to the stores. They provided that there is no date when a batch will arrive to the stores, since they are not finished developing the product.
Varuste didnt even provide the information on the product, that the development is not even finished. Still, theyve charged the amount on my credit card, without even ever having the product in stock. This is a weird business model and cant be legal. They even assess the estimated time of arrival to be good in the order confirmation you get. How can they assess on something they have no idea about? Pretty sketchy in my opinion..
Still, i need the alarm and i dont want to deal with getting my money back, so im going to wait until its finished and sent to me. Never going back though.

Edit: I’ve decided to revise my review based mainly on my experience as a foreigner living in Italy.
Varuste always responds quickly and offers a wide selection of trail running shoes at reasonable prices — many of which are hard to find elsewhere or have painfully long delivery times.
However, the disappointment with delivery companies and available shipping options remains unchanged.

Changed my paid shipping option without notice – unacceptable
I placed an order with Variste Net and specifically selected DHL as the shipping method because I’ve had serious issues with FedEx in the past. I even paid extra to ensure DHL would handle the delivery.
To my surprise, Variste Net switched the shipping to FedEx without informing me. No email, no warning, no explanation — just a silent change to a carrier I explicitly tried to avoid.
This is a clear sign of disrespect for the customer’s choice and trust. Why offer a paid shipping option if you’re going to ignore it?
I will not be ordering from them again. Trust is easily lost, especially when companies make silent substitutions after taking your money.
Extremely disappointed.

Once they process your order, which takes a couple days, the shipping only takes 3 days to get to the US. Coming from Finland, that’s super fast. Just make sure the item is in stock so it doesn’t get back ordered! Will definitely order again in the future.

Great range of items
I love the range and quality of products which Varuste sell. I’ve been buying dog sport products from them and they often have things available which are out of stock elsewhere and at competitive prices. The products arrive quickly and are well packaged.
My only reservation is that the minimum order for the UK means I have to pay import tax on every order, it also means I have to add extra items other than the items I wanted to make the order up to the specified amount. But despite this, the items are still competitively priced and the range is great.

I have contacted them for questions etc. and got an answer the same or next day.
They have very good deals sometimes and on other products they are just competitive. They shipped fast, but as expected it takes longer to ship from Helsinki then Spain.

Awesome customer service! I ordered a pair of Sordin Extreme Pro X ear protection, but realized I didn’t complete my address. I was then easily able to update my address with the support team on the live chat. I also then realized that the pair I ordered wouldn’t be in stock for a few weeks, so I was able to switch to a different version that was in stock. Varuste even covered the difference, despite it only being a few euros! On top of all that, the shipping was very quick. From Finland to my doorstep in Idaho, USA in just about 5 days. Overall, excellent prices and awesome service all around.
