I went yesterday with coupon in hand. One guy I've seen regularly started the process and then I feel scammed. The second guy fast talked me. He went over gas treatment prices, mentioning 3 different... See more

One star is to much today
One star is to much today. We are in Spokane Washington. I own a shop that caters to Veterans in Need and I serve them free of charge. I have a customer who I found her a Cadillac Escalade years ago and purchased it from a well known Cadillac dealership whom I know well. The vehicle had 40k. Now it has 194k. It has only had its oil changes at Valvoline. They tend to use impact tools to open and close the air filter and they stripped the bolts so over the years it has leaked dust into the intake and this dust slowly killed the engines compression. It came to me because it had a miss and Judy wanted to change the plugs. When I removed the intake ductwork and chunks of packed dust fell in the throttle body that was entirely caked. I sprayed out the ductwork to see what comes out and it was a nasty muck. The engine lost cyl 7 by 30 pounds compared to the others. The others are way below average of other of the same engines available forsale from recycling yards by 20-50 pounds. Hers are 150-177 and used with the comparable miles are 190-230. I sent a message to corporate who were more than happy to help Yet after I dealt Austin the manager at the last Valvoline Judy had her oil changed he said they would not fix because it had been low a few times when it has come in for it regular synthetic oil changed. He told me that after he a Pat discussed it they will not help in any way. Ya know when you pull in for an oil change it’s these kids that know nothing. Especially how to keep from stripping the fastener in an air box. If this was a Honda it would be steel bolt and steel incert in the air box and those tend to brake. But the caddy happens to be steel machine screw into plastic. Experienced technicians know when not to use an impact and removing bolts and nuts are one thing but reassembly is another. My son worked at Valvoline for years and that is why Judy only took her Caddy to Valvoline. He has not been there for many years but she continued to use their service, but no more. They do not seem to want to fix the damage they cause. Has anyone ever take apart an engine that has sucked in dust. It destroys the oil control rings as well as the rings. It is really bad that I have to write this but I am happy my son no longer works there. I will be calling corporate again. Then I will be pulling the engine. I will do a YouTube video segment of the tear down slamming Valvoline the entire time. Enough is enough. Taking advantage of Veterans needs to STOP!
Upcharge for unnecessary transmission fluid change
My adult son, who is autistic, took his 2022 Ford Escape in for a routine oil change at this Valvoline store. The vehicle only had 34,000 miles, yet he was convinced to approve a transmission fluid change — a service Ford recommends at 150,000 miles for this model. I showed them the official service manual that was in the car and they refused to budge. This felt like a clear case of upselling, and I’m disappointed that the staff didn’t take more care in explaining whether the service was truly necessary. Situations like this can be especially difficult for individuals who rely on clear guidance and trust professionals to act in good faith. The management and the tech who serviced my son refused to rectify this when I went back up to the store. I will never go to the store again and I recommend that others avoid it as well.
RUN AWAY FROM VALVOLINE!
RUN AWAY FROM VALVOLINE!! They deserve NEGATIVE stars. I went for a routine oil change last Saturday for my Audi Q5 which this location had done before. After paying $139.55 I drove about 100 yards down the road to a stop light at which point my engine shut off and would not restart. Immediately called Valvoline and Manager, Michael, came down to look at my car. He reported everything they had done looked fine. Shoved car off main road into parking lot. He tried to convince me it was my battery (even though my lights were on and they checked the battery during oil change). He attempted to jumpstart my car and that was not the issue. Said he would start a customer care claim in case it’s their fault and left. I had a tow truck take my car to repair shop where it was proven VALVOLINE neglected to put oil in my car after they drained it!! My motor is locked up and ruined. Not until Monday, did I hear from Lisa, area manager, through customer care line. She insisted she look at the car and try putting oil in it. Met her at repair shop to which she never once said hello, introduced herself, shook hands, or even express empathy for situation. Saw with her own eyes no oil is in the car and motor locked up. Says it has to be towed somewhere for a full diagnostic test and estimates to repair. I requested it go to Audi service department and she flat said no as if it’s her vehicle and not mine. Told her I wanted to know where she wanted to take it and who was going to tow it. Was never notified with that information prior to her moving forward with having it towed. I asked for a rental and was told no until she received a diagnostic test and estimate. They received an estimate Tuesday at 2 pm and passed it on to their insurance company. I’m still being refused a rental vehicle and have had to call off work for 3 consecutive days to date. Was told insurance company would contact me yesterday and they did not and have not to date. They refuse to provide me with insurance contact information or someone above Lisa at Valvoline. Lisa has been nothing but rude and constantly blowing smoke and finding reasons to drag this process out instead of doing everything she can to help me. Their NEGLEGENCE AND INCOMPETENCE ruined my Audi motor and I’m the one suffering the consequences. I have filed complaint with the State’s Attorney General Office and have also retained an attorney. This has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE and the worst customer service experience of my life. It’s a mystery to me how Lisa ever became an area manager in a customer service company and Valvoline is PATHETIC and doesn’t own up to their mess ups nor do they even act like they give a d@mn. Please stay away from this business so this doesn’t happen to you!!!!!!
Stripped two of the lug studs on same wheel
Brought my Jeep in today for an oil change and tire rotation. Waited an hour before an employee came to me to say there was a problem with the tire rotation. He pointed at two of the wheels lug studs on the same wheel next to each other had been stripped and the lugs cannot go on and the vehicle is unsafe to drive. Then he said word for word (this happens all the time). I pointed back at all the metal shaving proving they were the ones that caused it. Then got charged in full for them breaking the vehicle. No offer to cover damage, no lift home and vehicle had to be left in a lot overnight until I can find a shop that can fix the vehicle. Pending small claims lawsuit soon to follow. Please don't let this happen to you. Stripping one of the wheel lug studs was bad enough but to then strip the one right next to it? Avoid at your own peril.
I oil change
I went in they seemed helpful. The job ended. Well except they said they put a sticker on the windshield they did not also they did not updated the dash light.
$140 OIL CHANGE COST ME $455
If after reading this, if you decide not to use them, let me know below. I need a laugh.
Update:
Valvoline oil change in red bank(all for that matter, as corporate doesn't care.)
A TOTAL WASTE OF 1 STAR! RED BANK TN
I took my Jetta in for an oil change and the "mechanics" left the the engine baffle plate fasteners out. I drove 105 miles and the baffle plate fell off, breaking IN THE MIDDLE IF THE INTERSTATE! I returned to town the next week and took it to this same location. I spoke with manager Jacky and explained what happened. She informed me that they would do an investigation and get back with me after reviewing the cameras. I recd a call back a day or 2 later with Jacky STATING: "YOU WERE RIGHT! WE DID LEAVE THE SCREWS OUT AND WHEN THAT HAPPENS, THE WIND CATCHES IT AND RIPS IT AWAY." I was shocked they admitted wrong, but wait, remember, people are nice when they try to screw you! I told her I would only accept OEM parts, not Chinese made parts! And Jacky agreed with me 100%! I felt something was up so when the part came in, I didn't get in line to have it installed. I went in to visual see the part to verify it was OEM. FIRST THING I SEE IS "MADE IN TAIWAN" MOLDED into the cheap thin plastic that folded in half like a sheet of paper. IT WAS NOT OEM. And Ididn't ask for s new one, just oem from a scrap yard would have been fine. Jacky informs me that "THIS IS WHAT WAS APPROVED! Of course, they approved it. They break a $270 part and try to replace it with a $39.99 part. ABSURD! THEY'RE going try to screw me. I told her that I did not approve it, that she needed to reach out to whomever and get the right part in. She again stated "THIS IS WHAT THEY APPROVED!" in a VERY AUTHORITATIVE VOICE! I informed her that they weren't going to screw me over and if I didn't hear from them in 24 hours, I would do what I've done here.(after just now talking with the complaint dept to find out they won't communicate with me further because I let her know I would take legal action if necessary and I would leave reviews, here I am!
So, the moral is, don't use valvoline. They don't care about me as a customer, just the almighty $$. Do they care about you? Hmm... Imagine taking a Mercedes in and they forgot to tighten the drain plug. 105 miles later, the engine is toast. Don't be surprised that if your Mercedes had 200k miles on it, they may try to put a YUGO engine in it!
I went to the Valvoline location in Mount Pleasant, SC.
I went to the Valvoline location in Mount Pleasant, SC and received excellent service from Isaac, Jacob and Savanna. They provided me with important information regarding the upkeep of my vehicle which was great to know. We also chatted while my oil change was done which made the experience smooth and easy. They were a great team overly.
Well I was in line with an F-350 7.3 l…
Well I was in line with an F-350 7.3 l diesel it came out to him and told me to pull in ask him how much it cost he said he'd tell me when he got in sat there for 2 hours they did not have the oil filter they did not have the oil and they did not have a filter wrench he was scared to go buy a filter wrench because the owners would give it in trouble
Terrible experience at that service center!
Terrible service! I took a friend's 1997 4.6L F-150 in for a simple coolant flush. They only vacuum it, which cannot pull it all out, and it is impossible. Then they filled it, and I paid my bill $140. I asked them what temp it tests to now? They looked at me puzzled, so, I even had to explain to the tech? Then, they brought out the antifreeze tester, but sorry, it busted- all they could say was bring it back in a week when we have another tester? Seriously, so I pulled out the photo I had taken right after the engine cooled at my home with my antifreeze tester. It showed only to 0 degrees F! His only reply was Well, ok, it doesn't get the cold around here anyway? I asked for my money back, he immediately declined, and so I drove to Jiffy Lube down the street. They pulled the upper radiator hose hooked up their PRESSURE machine pushing all through the radiator, heater core and engine then out the unattached upper radiator hose. This is the only way to throughly replace the old fluid. No vacuum garbage here! I checked the antifreeze before adding it, and yes, good to -35F as it should be when done correctly! Stay far AWAY FROM VALVOLINE as possible , terrible service, extremely ignorant and rude!
Cooling systems are only positive pressure, any negative pressure can hurt gaskets within the cooling systems.
Your staff was extremely rude, disrespectful, completely unprofessional, disregarded my attempt to show them the freezing point from my Preston antifreeze sensor ( no sensor available to even check the freeze point after they did the flush there? ) plus showed his complete ignorance as he looked at my phone picture after driving back to my home, cooling the engine down prior to testing and snapping the picture) he told me well it shows “0 DEGREES F AND SO IT DOES NOT GET THAT COLD HERE ANYWHERE,” seriously? What service rep is this guy, what if I am taking the car to Chicago or anywhere in the winter? What would VALVOLINE do if my engine block cracked? Would they replace my engine, HELL NO! Anyone responsible would or shound automatically ALWAYS varify the freeze point anytime coolant is replaced! Just common sense! I have reported this to VALVOLINE corporate! Any double check of the coolant freeze point is ALWAYS THE RESPONSIBILITY AND A REQUIREMENT OF COOLANT FLUSH!
Aa of this date September 3rd I have had zero response to satisfy my request for a full refund. So FYI!
the rookie tech, didnt screw the oil filter correctly
went for first oil change, used a groupon(usually a sign they really need the business) 24 hrs , big oil spill in my garage, had just enough time to take it to a nearby mechanic . The oil filter had a lose rubber ring and was not sealed. My car is just 4 yrs old. Just missed a major engine debacle by minutes. Had to fill the engine with all the oil as it was dry. I notice that this outfit hires many young inexperienced kids who dont know what they are doing. Never again will visit them. I demanded a full refund on the oil change and got it only after I turned down their free change in the future and pressured their manager. Beware, this is the worst quick oil change shop out there.
Do NOT TRUST NOONE AT VALVOLINE
Never trust no one at Valvoline, they break your cars and cause other parts to break!
It’s upsetting that Is supposed to be an instant oil change, turns into getting another part broke by time you go home, or they don’t put enough oil, or you leave with a tick, I went to get my oil changed and I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK, after the lady started to drill in my engine, n when asked what’s going on the answer they gave me was changing a screw! What screw? I never seen anything like that before, well went home to hear a dam tick. They are the WORST OF THE WORST
I had my oil change at the FtPierce…
I had my oil change at the FtPierce Florida store for the past 2yrs at least. My last 2 oil changes from April and June seemed normal. No issues reported and just a regular oil change. July 13th my engine light started blinking, my car would no longer accelerate properly, and there began to be a knocking sound. I had 3 different mechanics to tell me there was little to no oil in my car and that my motor may now be damaged because of that. I have video of valvoline’s rep stating that during the time period in which j had my oil changed that reps have been fired because they caused issues to cars due to bad oil change practices. I also have video evidence of the mechanics checking my car, the rep from valvoline pretending to check my car, and I have a diagnostic that points to the reason for my engine damage being the oil change at valvoline. I tried to persue a claim with valvoline to resolve the issue, and I was turned down. I couldn’t even get to speak with a manager. I’ve had to miss out on work, had to pay for a rental(which I no longer have), and I’m stressed because I have to figure out now how to provide for my son going back and forth to school without transportation as well as my job.
Worst company ever in the world they…
Worst company ever in the world they lie mess up your car even when they found at fault and then when you take them to court they don’t show and then claim they wasn’t served right so they don’t have to pay Jessica Nunley is the worst to talk to I bet she kiss ass all day and slob on the chief D I’m still waiting for these bums to appeal cause I’m ready you better off doing your own oil change cause they have so many lawsuits against them i don’t see how they still up and running should of made sure that got burned down in the riot to smh they are the worst and ill never go back I started a group page on Facebook called Class Action Lawsuit against Valvoline please go and join and if you have issues with them let’s come together and sue them as a group

IF YOU DONT HAVE MONEY TO FIX WHAT THEY…
IF YOU DONT HAVE MONEY TO FIX WHAT THEY BREAK, STAY FAR AWAY! My elderly mom took her brand new vehicle to the smyrna tn location. It was purched brand new, SO no other service center has ever touched it. They replaced a return bulb and broke the clips. When she took it to the dealership, they told her the clips were broken. She called valvoline and they gaslighted her and told her that the service person told her it was broken and that they were putting green tape on it. Lies! My mom would have immediately told him that wouldn't work. This is her first brand new car, she's proud of it. They refuse to fix it, and customer care refuses to allow her to speak to management. They say they can't give that info out to the public. It's LITERALLY PUBLIC INFO! She tried reporting to the "ethics and compliance phone number. They just told her she'd have to speak with customer service. The phone number is literally 1-833-vvv-REPORT but there is no option to make a report. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YIUR VEHICLE.
THE MOST UNETHICAL OIL CHANGE COMPANY…
THE MOST UNETHICAL OIL CHANGE COMPANY YOU WILL FIND. They lied about their service, they argued that they completed all services then came back and said they couldn’t open the oil cap but were going to still charge us for the services. They argued back and forth that they did everything on their end, bypassing any responsibility and lying about the services they actually performed. Their lazy manager didn’t even bother to leave the office to have their service rep explain absolutely worse service on the planet: last time we were hear they didn’t even change out the air filter nor did they ask if we wanted it changed out. We will never come here again and we are also pursuing opening an investigation on this company
Poor service
Poor service. The service wasn't what I expected. Price is so high. Will never go there again.
whole experience was terrible
whole experience was terrible. yesterday i pulled into vioc in wentzville mo at 128pm for a change and a rotate. one in the bay and another ahead of me. now before i go on i do want to say i have been going to this location for over two years, i went out of my way to go there from past experiences. at around 200, we got pulled in to the bay and sat in the heat for around thirty minutes, i get it, they need time to work, but for fifteen minutes, no work was being done whatsoever. a guy comes back, we think from lunch and finishes the change around 230ish. then comes the rotate, so we get out and get ushered inside, fine. it was taking a little longer than i thought it should, i know because i spent nearly a decade in the industry, walk out to observe a guy spinning my lug nuts on with a cordless impact, fine again, but i notices he wasnt threading them on very well, and ultimately saw him OBVOIUSLY crossthread one with the impact, and thern spin it off. moments later,i guess the manager, an african american woman approached me with the lug nut and proceded to tell me that the person before must have crossthread it, not the tech i just saw do it, and proceeded to argue saying she has cameras and she had ALREADY checked to make sure it was not her tech, WHICH WAS AN ALL OUT LIE BECAUSE SHE DID NOT HAVE THE TIME TO DO ANY SUCH THING!!!! she was extremely condescending and rude!!!! ITS JUST A LUG NUT!!!!!WHY LIE!!!!! I will NEVER give one more nickel of my money to valvoline anywhere EVER!!!! I have employees, and if one of mine treated one of my customers the way i was treated, they would be fired immediately!!!! my shop manager was thewre to witness the whole disappointing thing!!!! Oh one more thing..... your so called instant oil change took one hour and 49 minutes, far from instant!!!
