It is nice to have a place with such a broad range of fragrances to have samples of. The owner is a youtuber, which makes him a bit more trustworthy in my opinion since he is a public figure.

To set the scene we are a small perfume club made up of 15 “fragheads”, who meet once a month to have a few drinks, dinner and evaluate fragrances new or vintage. We are also all collectors and have a very extensive collection between us. We are also very active on perfumery enthusiast sites and have written hundreds of reviews on perfumes whether designer, niche or indie.
We literally have never heard of Visionary Fragrances and only stumbled upon them while looking for a certain hard to find perfume. Like the owner of this site, we have had plenty of bad experiences with online sellers and have experienced every trick in the book. It was nice to read other people’s reviews of their own personal experience of Visionary Fragrances and it helped to put our mind at rest.

So let’s begin with our review:

The website is well done (a good sign to start with as a shoddy site is a clear sign of a dubious site to stay away from), we like that the photos are original. Yes we checked them on google lol. The website is easy to navigate and we like the wish list capability to save fragrances you want to purchase later.

We have only kept to 2 well known sites in the UK and 1 in Europe for 5 years or so to buy our decants, sometimes we can’t find what we want. Hence how we discovered VF.

The prices are competitive, sometimes a bit higher or lower but we are talking pence not pounds. We only buy 5ml decants because we usually test a fragrance for a week before we meet and certainly not on paper. You can’t get to know a fragrance properly on paper.

More importantly we test fragrances we already enjoy to see if they have been reformulated, changed in anyway over the years since we tried the original formulation. Unfortunately, this goes on a lot in the perfume industry and sites like these are great to test them again. This brings us to our first recommendation. None of the decant sites we have seen do this. Why not put the year the bottle was bought on the description ??? This would be very helpful to us perfume lovers. Because we then can look at the previous history and reviews to see if it’s worth buying. A clear example is Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait has changed completely. We still have an original bottle bought from MFK shop in Paris. It’s not the sellers fault whatsoever but it’s very interesting to see how perfumes are changed. BTV Amethyst was disappointing, again nothing to do with the seller but we have been offered a bottle and wanted to try it first before buying. Thanks to VF we could decide definitely not to buy it.

The delivery was very quick using Royal Mail tracked. They don’t send you the tracking number directly unless you pay £40 or more which is odd but they do say you can request it. We did spend more than £40 but with 2 orders so we guess that’s why we didn’t receive it. We did laugh when we received the bright, garish but sturdy envelopes with our atomisers. A courtesy card and also packed neatly in bubble wrap. It is risky to send glass atomisers. Our usual seller only uses plastic because he has had breakages using glass. Plus a good idea is to vacuum seal the glass atomisers in a vacuum bag then into the envelope. Just an idea. We don’t really care about the atomisers themselves because we decant from them into our more expensive atomisers lol.

The perfume is labelled correctly and we also checked the amount of perfume and found it a bit more generous which is good customer service even if it wasn’t intentional.

We already have a few in our wish list that we are going to purchase soon as another party is coming up. We hope that the venture into Europe goes well and perhaps your selection in the UK will grow. Definitely we would recommend Visionary Fragrances.

Ordered about 30 test vials for different designer fragrances. Came in two packages, well packed and potent. The owner George was responsive and helpful when the second package took longer to arrive. Would recommend.

Just received my order today. Got exactly what i wanted in a nice little silver bag. The sample bottles are super high quality. Shipping did take long either. Really recommend. Will use this website a lot in the future :)

All perfume samples were in prestine condition and authentic. I ordered 1 sample where I have the original at home to be 100% certain. The samples are beautifully packaged as well so it‘s a joy to use them.

Shipping from Poland does take some time but I think the order processing time was absolutely fine. Offering faster delivery options for higher delivery cost would be an awesome addition for the impatient :)

I'm from France and just did my 5th purchase from Visionary Fragrances. Never had any problem whatsoever products and shipping-wise, except a slight delay from the last shipment but since it's Christmas time, such delay could be expected.

Great smell and legit fragrances. The fragrances arrived a little late, 5 days to be exact.

My package arrived today and I could not be happier. Hats off to George for a great service and fast communication.

The package:
Great and safe packaging; the outer bag is bubble wrapped and the fragrance samples were stored neatly in a little silver bag which also smelled gorgeous to top everything off.

Samples:
There were no signs of leakage, the fragrances were all labeled correctly and were equally filled to the brim. I have not tested the actual samples yet, but that is irrelevant as I cannot compare my samples which I am trying now for the first time with my previous experience of these fragrances - as I have none.

Shipping: I placed my order on the 25.11.2024 and it was fulfilled and sent on the 27th and today on 6.12.2024 my order arrived which is more than fair - 8 business days from fulfillment to arrival to Slovenia. Could be quicker sure, but that would be unfair as the Holiday crisis is coming up and we could all be more understanding to the couriers.

All in all I will definitely order from this shop again, the only complaint I have is that the silver bag smelled gorgeous, but I have no idea which fragrance was sprayed on it :( Hopefully mr. George can reply with the fragrance name. Jokes aside thanks for the great service !
