Misleading third party financing
One of the most misleading sales experiences I’ve ever had. Vivint’s sales representative was anything but transparent when it came to the third-party financing involved in the contract. The conversation was carefully focused on monthly payments and benefits while the actual financing arrangement and long-term financial obligation were not clearly explained upfront.
It felt less like an honest sales prevention and more like a deliberate effort to get signatures before customers fully understand what they’re agreeing to. Critical details should never have to be discovered after the fact, yet that’s exactly how this experience felt.
A company that truly values integrity would make financing terms crystal clean from the beginning instead of burying them in paperwork and sales talk. Consumers should be extremely cautious, read every line, and ask direct questions because the information you need may not be volunteered. Transparency was sorely lacking, and the entire process left me feeling misled and frustrated.
I would not recommend this experience to anyone looking for straightforward, honest communication from a sales team.

The salesman was ok but should have been more up front about total cost of commitment for equipment. Also said other security features that I had before would be compatible-they were not. So far the service is good. I like the doorbell and garage light security, it’s an improvement over our old system. Concerned about future price increases of monthly service. Salesman said it would never increase. I really don't believe that.

Keep getting the run around every time I call is a different person says one thing and nothing happens. Improve by being able to talk with the same person or supervisor which never happens. Very unhappy customer. Would not recommend this company at this point.
Installation nightmare
The sales guy was nice, but the install was a disaster.
Hopefully after another technician comes out the fix the previous install, things will be better. The installer installed the driveway light on one side of the driveway instead of the center of the coverage area and it’s sitting right on top of the garage door trim instead of being up high and out of reach. The spot light stays on and doesn’t do its security thing even after a reboot. The back door camera install looks terrible inside the house where the wires come though. The front door lock has a lot of play in it.
The original installer was out two times for multiple hours and have the stuff still wasn’t set up in the system. The first night he was there until 11:00 PM making noise when I said it’s time to go.

I am a disabled Army veteran and have had seizures for years now. I told the sales rep that came to my house, that I needed some time to think about it and he said id have 30 days or well, he says he said 3 days. I contacted him the SAME day saying to please come have the tech take it all down that I cant afford it. He ignored my texts and kept trying to call. I need help!! He never gave me any information about it just signed me up for everything and ive been begging them to come back and pick the stuff up. I am.on a fixed income. I do want security but not a system thats going to put me into so much debt
