The phone works but its voicemail system sucks. You can never talk to a person to work it out. The AI created three tickets and promised someone will get back to me every time, but no one did, it is... See more

BUYER BEWARE!
BUYER BEWARE!! Voiply's unlimited residential plan is not unlimited. If you use more than 500 minutes, they charge you 15¢ per minute. However, that is stated nowhere in their agreement. What is in their agreement is vague verbiage that allows them to charge you if they don't agree with your use of minutes.
They are liars. Their unlimited plan is false advertising, as you are actually limited to 500 minutes. Which is ridiculously low! They will also saddle you with a bill they will not refund. Despite their shady business practices being called out.
They should have a disclaimer, on the advertising, of how much unlimited really means to them and what happens if you go over their NON unlimited minutes.
Poor customer service
Poor customer service. Long wait times when trying to reach someone to communicate with. I waited 36+ minutes with no response. I sent an email and had to wait 2 days for a response. They overcharged me for services and would not refund their mistake. After taking a monthly payment, they suspended my services the very next day and was unable to use my phone. They would not provide a refund for the time that my services were suspended. They took my money, didn't provide a service or refund for lack of service, let alone, never apologized for the error. Upon cancelling their service, they would not fully cancel the plan until they receive their equipment back at my expense. They would not provide a free selt return label due to their poor customer service or error. All this did was cost me money for services that were never really rendered. Worst company I have ever worked with. I would not recommend them at all. Suggest to go through another provider.
Swith and Bait
When I checked to see my new annual bill for my voip services, I noticed that the bill had increased by $30.00 for 2025. I called customer service and she sent me a breakdown of charges including state, county, and federal taxes. For long distance, it's $30 per year. Their fees for just having the service is $59.50 per year which equals $89.50 per year.
On their home page, it states, "Get Reliable and Unlimited Home Phone Service for $8.95/mo", which is very close to the state, county, and federal taxes and fees. Nowhere is it mentioned that they tack on an additional $85.00, per year, which really jacks the price up.
So automatically you will pay $8.95 (taxes, etc.) + $7.45 (their fees for long distance and just having the service. This practice is illegal. It's called switch and bait. Trust me, once I'm hooked up with OOma, I will be filing a complaint with the FCC on these people.
I would appreciate all of us who are complaining about this report it to the FCC. Thank you.
Too Bad
I had a terrible experience with your service. One of your agents was rude, used inappropriate language, and then ignored me before hanging up the call. Your chat support team also didn’t respond to my queries.
Additionally, I made multiple payment attempts, but the amount was deducted, and my issue wasn’t resolved—nor was my payment replaced.
This has been a highly unprofessional and frustrating experience. Based on this, I strongly advise others not to use your services.
Please take this feedback seriously and address these issues immediately.
Voiply uses deceptive advertising...
Voiply uses deceptive advertising to market their unlimited residential plan. While their sales page claims that you can pay a monthly or annual fee for unlimited calls, they do in fact limit your outgoing calls to 300 minutes(!) a month. They charge ¢1.5 per minute after this. Although limiting outgoing calls is a common practice among many VoIP providers, most tend to be open about it, and state this on their sales page. They might say that outgoing call minutes are limited to the amount that most customers use in a month. A trustworthy company would put an asterisk next to the word "Unlimited" and set a limit of about 3000 monthly outgoing minutes (on average). Voiply, however, sets the bar ridiculously low at 500, and you will only find out if you go over their undisclosed limit as I did.
Service works, but customer experience is awful!
The service, is fantastic. The billing is horrible. I paid my bill through my bank, and still received emails saying that my account had been suspended. I paid a first and last months to get service, and they send that after the first month. I know I'm late on my bill, but set up a system that when you pay through the bank, it gives a grace period where Voiply doesn't send a "Your services have been suspended" email. I'm done. Sadly, I will be going to Rogers now.
I have had wonderful support, pros & cons
I have had wonderful support with Voiply, recently left Vonage because of zero support, only chat bots and it took me 45 minutes to cancel with Vonage. Voiply, answers all phone calls instantly and have been so helpful getting me setup and configured immediately. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because #1, the SMS feature does not allow pictures #2 There is no ability to click the 3 dots to reply to a caller with SMS, only allows to mark the call as Spam or Delete, but no option to Send Message, which is difficult when on the road, you have to memorize the number and type it in, can't even copy and paste it, which is a time suck. Vonage definitely had a better interface, but twice the price and zero support. I am happy with Voiply.
Voip Services Mostly Work Well But Terrible Support
One hour waiting for chat support, and the agent was terribly overburdened (the only one on duty!), so even after another hour of chatting - mostly of me waiting for sporadic replies - he could not provide an answer. The account portal is horrible, and none of the Help links in the portal do anything when you click them. Overall, the VoIP services and features mostly work well, but if a frustrating portal and amazingly overburdened customer support drive you crazy, look elsewhere.
Inexpensive but for residential users…
Inexpensive but for residential users their website is badly coded (links and controls that do NOT work) with a very limited set of user controls. The controls for Blocking and Allowing phone numbers are not intuitive, poorly laid out/coded and have conflicts. Best to only use the blocking function. The cell phone APP is very quirky and the Robocall blocker is barely functional if needed ! When using "Help" the first contact is supposedly A.I. but never understands the question and after 3 attempts states it will transfer you to an agent - Skip the wasted time by typing only one word as your FIRST question "AGENT" it will transfer you to a human agent but expect a 5 to 20 minute (or longer) wait. Once you get a human agent service improves but be SURE to FIRST inform them that you are a RESIDENTIAL customer or they will offer solutions ONLY available to Business customers. The agent will work to take care of your issues but many times they can only "escalate" to a tech or manager.
On the plus side, porting (takes 7-10 days) works, setup is simple and the call quality is very good, much better (and cheaper) that POTS / Landline.
You have to be extremely careful with…
You have to be extremely careful with these guys as their website isn't on the up and up.
I'll start by saying that as far as the call quality goes, it was clear and I didn't experience any issues using Starlink in Canada.
The problem that I had was with what they say you will get vs what you actually get. The website implies that you can install their mobile app on all your devices including your PC. (There is a download link on the residential page.) You cannot. You can only install it on one mobile or risk causing routing issues. There is no PC link available. They also sell you a bundle with a phone. Again, it's not until you paid that they say the phone bundles are not available in Canada. When I talked to their customer support, they then told me that I misunderstood. I showed them the page and said that it was misleading. Then they just hung up on me. Make of it what you want. I do not endorse this kind of tactic.
We've only had VOIPLY for a short time…
We've only had VOIPLY for a short time but so far it's worked as advertised, savings are significant, and support has been exemplary.
About the worst customer service I have…
About the worst customer service I have ever had. The phone service is fine but talking to a live person to solve problems is nearly impossible. In my case, the temp # they assigned has taken over my phone in spite of assurances I could use my old # during the porting process. I am missing important calls and can't get to anyone to rectify this. I am not happy!
Service was great
They follow through with what they say…
They follow through with what they say during the sales call. The setup after the number was ported took a while and several phone calls to get corrected but ultimately, they resolved the problem. Would have been 5 stars if I didn't have to keep calling back because either I get dropped after a long wait or their callbacks without losing your spot in line did not work. Also made no sense when I called, I was the first in line but the wait time was 10 minutes or more and I waited more than 10 minutes most of the time and the call gets dropped on their end after that. However, when I finally got through, they were pleasant and resolved the issue and I have not had a problem since.
Will see how this first month goes before I decide if I want to convert over to the yearly subscription. In which case, I will need to better understand how the 50% off I got worked for as I would have already paid for 2 months.
You ported the wrong number a number…
You ported the wrong number a number that was already a Voipy assigned number. This is delaying my cancelation of 3 Xfinity services.
Very happy with my experience so far
Very happy with my experience so far. Had a couple of installation issues but these were easily sorted out via the support chat. Looking forward to years of good service.
Disappointment
I used VOIPLY for 10 years. Service was out more often than other services that I used. It was however acceptable. That's why I kept it for 10 years. When I cancelled service my number was to be ported over to another carrier. That never happened. I jumped through all the hoops that they required but they did not port the number.
