Booking with this company straight forward and excellent communications. I booked a property in Abersoch for 1 week at 250 Cae Du. The property had not been cleaned very well with cobwebs and dust in the kitchen also the downstairs toilet was filthy. The facilities in the kitchen were good but 2 units had broken handles and you had to use a lever to open the dishwasher which was not clean. The two sofas in the lounge were not fit for sitting on they were smelly and the springs had gone only fit for the rubbish tip. We brought the conservatory furniture up and used these to sit on. Beds were fine. The driveway is quite steep as described and a sports car and a large vehicle would not fit on it. I would not recommend this property until the sofas had been replaced and a refresh of the paintwork had been done. Location is fine just a short walk to the centre.

Lovely large property for family gatherings. Nice contemporary feel to decor internally. The property feels very remote and yet is only a 20 minute walk from Barmouth. I think guests need to be aware that the property is approached via a narrow lane up a steep hill and involves a 3 point turn to access the lane to the house. This was not a problem for us as we live in a similar area but could be if a cautious driver used to urban areas. We were a party of six adults and 2 dogs and felt we had plenty room.

Just got back from Schooner House, Wogan Terrace, Saundersfoot. Booked through Wales Cottage Holidays. Arrived to find the extractor fan for En-suite bathroom didn't work, this caused the bedroom to smell musty affecting our clothes. Three bedside lamps didn't work as bulbs blown. Cobwebs over balcony. Kitchen ledges and plug sockets etc covered in a 2 to 4yr build up of grease & dust! The house has been cleaned but only the surface areas like tops & floors. Not very hygienic! The other shower I had to fix as the sliding door was off both top and bottom runners! While fixing that there were old Pubic Hairs in both showers! We reported the extractor and bedside lamps on Monday/Tuesday but nobody came out as promised to fix them. I have just spent 1hour and 3 mins on hold trying to get through to Wales Cottage Holidays without success! 1hr 3mins!!!

Absolutely Disgusted at the house, it's condition, its lack of cleanliness, lack of maintenance and lack of CUSTOMER CARE by this company. As an ex Customer Service Manager of 30yrs experience with multinational companies I find this appalling.

I wish it could have been a good review as it was ideally situated however, when paying top dollar £1700 one expects top dollar cleaning & servicing. This is unhygienic at best & a health hazzard at worst!
Wales Cottage Holidays did indeed telephone us during our holiday but NEVER SENT ANYONE TO FIX OR SORT OUT THE REPAIRS. IT'S NOW 7TH Oct and no contact from them. I have sent them notice of impending legal action if they do not respond within next 28 days. Regretfully, I cannot comment further only to say I AM NOT HAPPY WITH WALES COTTAGE HOLIDAYS OR THEIR CONDESCENDING ATTITUDE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. I WILL HAVE MY DAY IN COURT!!!
(You are sadly dissolutioned if you think we will come back if those are your standards of acceptability!)
At no time did you say this is not your usual high standards, so I assume this is normal & in that case I would warn others of your very low standards of cleanliness & hygiene!
Nobody called or fixed the issues with our holiday home so you are VERY WRONG and have not been listening to what we have been saying or writing. It's very clear, very simple. No response from company 7th Oct!!!!! The company twists, ignores & refutes evidence & statements enforcing their decisions without any appeal, then closes the case as a happy conclusion! Wales Cottage Holidays was anything but a happy holiday, it was an over priced, exceptionally poorly maintained with no on site services for 7 days to effect any repairs! Disgusting service or lack of it, be warned of my experience then consider your own before making a booking. JS.
In response to your reply, your maintenance people could only attend on the morning that we were leaving, that was over 7 days after it was first reported! The team had no intention of coming out as there was a previous issue of being paid! The accommodation had no bulbs in the lamps for goodness sake, because they were specialist bulbs they could not be obtained locally. You say premises are inspected, how can 5 bulbs be missing and your inspection staff not notice & not notice the filth of months of the cobwebs & grease in the kitchen area. All you returned was a paltry £150 because I was VERY ill having just spent a month as an in patient in our local hospital, infection was a major concern. We could not get in contact with anyone from Wales Cottages, when we did nobody returned our calls! We could not use the shower as the extractor fan did not work filling the bedrooms with damp! The showers were falling apart & I had to fix them when the doors kept falling off their runners! Opening the windows did not clear the damp as it had been going on for some considerable time. Wales Cottages ignored all requests for help, we were in that Hovel for about 10 days and your maintenance guys could not even get to us!! All you gave us back was £150 DISGUSTING DISGUSTING DISGUSTING.
I WILL CONTINUE TO POST INFORMATION ABOUT WALES COTTAGES UNTIL YOU REFUND A DECENT SUM OF MONEY. Jon Spencer.
In reply to your answer, it is a VERY SAD REFLECTION on your standards if this was your best response as you failed in every respect. Had my health not deteriorated as it did, forcing me to abandon having my day in court. It hurt having to let your company get away with its actions. I sincerely wanted it to go to court where it could have been found you acted unreasonably & unfairly when my complaint was made. I will still publicise what happened to me at every opportunity.

Old Barn Cottage St Florence
We have just returned from a week at this amazing house everything was right from start to finish from booking and arriving at the house. This property is 1st Class very well equipped with high standard fittings and lots of lovely touches like home made soap and a basket of goodies .High standard of cleanliness and very comfortable accommodation. Emma made us feel very welcome with her texts and a wonderful hand written welcome card from her which is really appreciated. Local village is lovely good pubs and an amazingly stocked shop also a very friendly village we met some lovely people highly recommend this property and we will visit again sometime

Bleancwm Mar cottage, near Llandysul Wales was a great find. Very quiet, off the beaten track, wonderful scenery and very friendly owners. Bird life a bonus, they were always at the feeders. Restaurant only a mile away, The Daffodil, was also a another good find. Very friendly staff and great food and beer.

Our cottage stay was absolutely wonderful. From booking all the way through everything was easy, the staff were friendly and helpful and the cottage was exactly as displayed on the website. We had a wonderful time and enjoy the nice touches such as the welcome basket.

We were expecting fantastic views and were not disappointed. How the building was ever allowed to be built is anyone's guess, but we were inside, looking out, and it was marvellous.
The owners have recently refurbished the flat to a high standard, so much so that we struggled for a while with the oven and cooker as clearly a Phd was required to operate them. Everything was very comfortable and the owners had clearly gone out of their way to put together an information folder which told us anything and everything we could possibly want to know about what to do, where to go and just about everything else.
We stayed in August/September and it was warm but not hot - but the bedroom, having no windows, could be a bit stuffy and tended to heat up, so bear that in mind: I found a sheet and my own blanket sufficed rather than the thick duvet on offer. If fans help, bring one.
All in all a great experience and we'd go back.

Absolutely loved it here, the Pipistrelle is perfect and has everything you need, the scenery around the area is gorgeous as is the setting for Pipistrelle, lovely walks with the dog who also loved the field and stream that belongs to property. There are plenty of dog friendly walks not far from the property some set in beautiful forests with waterfalls that are really stunning. Local pubs not far away are also really worth a visit, ask the owners regarding which pubs are best to visit, who by the way are lovely and welcoming. I couldn't find anything I didn't like regarding this holiday.

The most amazing property with views to die for. Very clean house and well stocked kitchen. The 2 hot tubs were a big hit. Owner was lovely and helpful and never intrusive.

Very dog friendly cottage. Fab amenities for ppl with mobility issues. Grandson loved it there too. We all had a fabulous week. Suited us all.

Super cottage style house.pet friendly and safe.plenty of parking and nice garden.
Games room was great. Pool,darts,air hockey,table tennis. Kept the kids happy for hours.
Two sitting rooms so we could watch tv separately in the evenings.
Downstairs shower a bit iffy because the AGA cooker needed to be on for the hot water.
Bit of a trek to Abersoch centre,steep hill and though the golf course. Definitely not recommended for a walk back up the steep hill.
All in all though great value.
