I have sold a few pieces on watch collecting. It's really convenient and safe. I never once felt like i was in danger of being ripped off, even when selling hundreds of thousands worth of watches. It'... See more

Quick communication and helped me work through several logistical issues. Have been very pleased with my experience and would recommend this site to others!
Truly shocking service. I purchased a watch online only to find the seller was out of the country and couldn't post the item as stated or meet for a handover for 2 / 3 weeks. Customer service was diabolical and just took their £1500. On numerous emails they were unhelpful and rude at best.

I wouldn't choose any other company for selling my watches. My dedicated contact Ollie was excellent and always on hand to answer any questions. He was professional but also approachable and friendly. Unfortunately the first winning bidder was a time-waster but Ollie got my watch relisted within a couple of days and sold in a week. The time-waster has been banned from the site and lost his fee paid to the company. This wasn't watchcollecting's fault obviously but it was all sorted very quickly which shows the company's quality of service. I chose the managed service for a small fee which takes all the worry out of the after sales process as watchcollecting.com deal with sending the watch to the buyer (or collection) and insurance. Highly recommended.
I sold my watch recently through auction, it was a wonderful experience during the bidding moment, as a private collector i am impressed with the process, the payment was done promptly by the buyer who won the auction bid, Hugo was on top of it throughout.
I was very skeptical when I was first buying the watch with how it all works as you had to pay the buyer before even receiving the watch but mark who worked at watch collecting helped with this massively by giving me all the reassurance I needed and this made the process so easy and smooth as I met the buyer picked the watch up and everything was as it said on the website couldn’t be more thankful of mark
WORST SERVICE IVE RECEIVED!!
IM A WATCH DEALER!!!!
I put my watch through watch collecting they promised me the earth and returned me absolutely nothing.
I had paid for the managed service which was £250 pounds.
A buyer bought the watch on a buy it now sale. Who ended up pulling out of the deal. However watch collecting still received the buyers premium (minimum £600). And told me they couldn’t go ahead with the sale. As far as I’m concerned they had made their money and weren’t bothered about making their client happy which was me. Which they tried to lie about and said they ‘could’ have to return it if the buyer insists.
They had promised me a quick turnaround when they had held my watch for a total of 4 weeks. Leaving me to have to make a massive loss on the watch as the market changed which I informed was a possibility previously.
I’ve lost £2500 pounds because of this.
On top of this my watch didn’t sell but is listed as sold on their website to make them look like they’re busy. Set of scammers!
I dealt with Hugo who was very hard to communicate with and I had to ring him for updates all the time. There was definitely a language barrier! As I noted I payed the £250 ‘managed service’ which they have refused to refund even though the didn’t manage anything!
DO NOT USE!

Recently sold a Hublot via this company & while it's super scary trusting & selling a watch like that on open auction, it worked really well & I pretty much got the price I was willing to let the watch go for. Trust them! I had them do the pictures as well. They kept me fully up to date on the sale & after it completed, I took the watch back up to them (you can leave it with them) & the transfer of funds was pretty much instant. Really easy experience. Thanks goes to Hugo!
I can now honestly say that the service from Ollie and the team is excellent. If you want to sell a watch you will get a quick sale at the going rate. If you are a buyer then there are lots of the most popular Rolex at great prices, but also some real rare jewels such as Forsey Greubel and a Rolex Octopus!
Dealt with Fleur. She cold called me as I had sold a watch previously I was thinking of getting in touch as I had 3 watches cherished no and a A/M DB7 for sale Fleur arranged for everything to be photographed and put up for auction Everything now sold very successfully Fleur’s communication was excellent 👌
Mark at WatchCollecting has been extremely professional , informative and helpful. From the initial meeting to drop the watch off for WC’s ‘Fully Managed’ service, he has been great to deal with, and worked through to get the right result.
There was a small miscommunication at the point of sale but the team at Watch Collecting dealt with it in the exact way I could of hoped for, and got me a fair and efficient resolution (under a hour!)
Top marks 👍🏻
Very professional service provided by Fleur Dubois at Watch Collecting. The watch had recently been serviced and was in perfect condition. It was carefully assessed and its ownership and provenance checked by Watch Collecting.
We agreed a reserve price and the watch went into the auction.
It sold for the price I was hoping to achieve to a buyer who is clearly delighted with his purchase.
A great experience all round.
Very good communication and explanation of the sale process. Arranging the photos and valuation was very straightforward. Will use again for purchases or sales.
Fleur was great, really helpful and professional and very accurate/ realistic on her assessment of the reserve. She was also able to guide me towards a photographer in my area, and generally handled the process seamlessly. The price I achieved for my watch was in excess of what other online services offered, so I’m really pleased.
First time using watch collecting to sell my timepiece, Fleur at watch collecting was very helpful and commutative and managed to sell my watch for more than anticipated. Would 100% use them again
Great communication and professionalism from Fleur, did a great job and wont hesitate to use again.
Disappointingly it’s their way or the highway. Despite making you as a buyer agree terms and a contract with WC and stating at Clause 9.9 you must agree a contract yourself with the seller they discourage any such contract and encourage you to pay the money to the seller - which you are yourself unable to conduct any KYC or AntiMoneyLaundering measures on. Feels like the process maybe open to fraud.
When you ask for their assistance to agree a short contract of sale they advise ‘this platform is not for you’. Perhaps more legal training needed for salespeople.
Despite the claims of checks of the Watchregister loss databases WC said they don’t ask the seller if the watch is lost stolen or fake on consignment.
A prime example we saw was a Rolex watch seller listed their watch with the wrong manual and admitted they were a dealer - after these red flags buyers wrote to WC but they ignored them and the auction was allowed to proceed to conclusion. due diligence on the seller? Due diligence on the watch and it’s papers?

Well done Natalie - thank you for your assistance with this transaction
Should aim to maximise the sale price rather than the speed of the sale
Very smooth and efficient bidding and after bid process. Responsive and kind customer service agents. Mark was most helpful on the handover date, very kind and professional. 5 stars well deserved
