A natural product and thankfully no additives. I use for a chronic disease and it is good.
The price is too high though and the reseal is very poor
These wipes could be soooooo much better
While I love the concert of the wipes, the product needs WORK. The wipe size should be larger so when you pull one out, it grabs the next. The container it’s in also should be reusable and refillable. I have done countless diaper changes and when I pull a wipe or are in a rush to grab a wipe I end up pulling 1/2 the package out to use a few. How have these issues not been addressed?!?!!!
In the past I only used nice and clean wipes…
I used nice and clean wipes for many years on everything from my babies to my hands to sanitary wipes on camping trips then I tried new products by these new companies in 2022-2024 because more options were available after covid. But omg what a BIG MISTAKE other countries & their products are causing rashes and irritation to my skin and the skin of my grandchildren leaving painful red bumps that are sometimes scarring! I want anyone using products that are shipped from outside of the United States to be aware! From now on I'll only buy products I've use in the past like nice n clean made in the United States is for a reason 😥
Disappointed with Recent Changes to Water Wipes Packaging and Quality - First Review on Website
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the recent changes made to your baby wipes packaging and quality. As a long-time customer who has been using Water Wipes since 2018, I feel compelled to share my feedback with you.
The new packaging is a step backwards, and unfortunately, the quality of the wipes has also declined significantly. The changes have left me feeling disheartened, as Water Wipes used to be my go-to choice for baby wipes. However, upon seeing the new packaging, my initial reaction was one of disappointment and frustration, to the point where I considered discarding the product altogether.
This is my first review on this website, and I was searching for a way to express my frustration and disappointment. I hope my feedback is considered valuable, as I am not happy with the quality of the product.
I urge you to reconsider these recent changes and revert to the previous version of both the packaging and the wipes themselves. The old version was superior in both design and quality, and it is my sincere hope that you will listen to your loyal customers' feedback and take action to address these concerns.
Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I hope to see positive changes implemented soon.
The quality of the product has gone…
The quality of the product has gone down so much. We literally thought we bought the wrong brand. Ever since the packaging changed. These wipes have been terrible, they aren’t as good as they used to be. You can almost see through the wipes. They are also very expensive.
Put on packet it’s not flushable
It’s not clear on the packaging that these wipes are not flushable. Under certain conditions they may breakdown but after a few months in a glass of water (which is now actually turning green) there has been little to show that the wipe will break up. But of a shame really.
AWFUL!!!
AWFUL!!!!
I WISH I CHECKED REVIEWS ONLINE BEFORE BUYING!
I am pregnant with my second child, and decided to purchase a box of 12 packs of these wipes to see what the fuss was all about as these were not on the market 14 years ago with my first child. I didn't mind the price as I am all about quality when it comes to products, and I am lucky enough in life to be like this, BUT seriously?! what is all the fuss about?!. I opened one packet to try one wipe, and its a tiny little wipe with no stretch, and its barely wet. I could only imagine how many of these wipes you would need to use to clean a very bad nappy, and they have a cheek to talk about the environment. what ever happened to quality products, all I ever hear now is that everything changed due to saving the planet, its an absolute joke. I will use these until they are finished (which won't take long as you will need half packet for a soiled nappy) BUT I WILL NEVER BUY OR RECOMMEND THESE TERRIBLE BABY WIPES.
Absolutely the worst wipes
Absolutely the worst wipes, I have used this on my newborn and the quality is so poor its unbelievable. Its DRY, ROUGH and it SMELLS . I agree with all the negative comments, its concerning how expensive the product is. Taking advantage of parents and making profit out of them. Let alone the harmful ingredients it contains, this company should stop making products all together because its all one big lie.
New Biodegradable Wipes are AWFUL
Purchased this product for several months, and we were very happy with the original product.
After moving to the biodegradable formula, and marketing it as the “same product, new look”, I’m extremely disappointed.
The wipes are smaller, more dry, extremely thin, and have a potent chemical odor.
Kudos for trying to be more environmentally friendly; however, please do not market your product as “unchanged”. It’s not near the wipe it use to be. Changing from 20% viscose to 100% is a change. The wipes are dry, smaller, thinner. If that was the worst, so be it. They have a strong chemical odor, I do not feel comfortable using it on my child.
If your company wants to be environmentally friendly, good for you. Watch all of your consumers leave in the process!!
WaterWipes are 💯 the Best Wipes Ever
Have been using these wipes for quite a while now and can honestly say, WOW. Does exactly what it states on thr pack. No plastic. The gentlest baby wipes ever to come onto the market, no 'nasties' hidden in the ingredients and best of all, none of my children, friends or family have had any reactions to the product...because it's #PURE. Would definitely recommend. Please don't sell out to the bigger companies as they put loads of junk in it & call it 'good for skin'. Yours is the best. Bit pricier than others, but 'you get what you pay for' so no worries there..people spend more on cigarettes. Thank you ever so much you wonderful people at WaterWipes. Keep going...you're doing gr8👍 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
As a product whose marketing is based on its 'purity' and 'natural ingredients', its chemical odour rang alarm bells...
My daughter had commented that WaterWipes (which she and I have been purchasing for over 5 years for use on her babies) have in more recent years, been smelling of chemicals.
Upon re-reading WaterWipe's ingredients, it states: "Contains traces of benzalkonium chloride".
I contacted WaterWipes manufacturers, who informed me that their grapefruit seed extract (the second of the two ingredients in WaterWipes) is obtained from suppliers who use benzalkonium chloride in their grapefruit seed extraction process. They explained that WaterWipes are not legally obliged to list this in their ingredients as they didn't add it, themselves.
Benzalkonium chloride is a CATEGORY 1 CORROSIVE CHEMICAL -- "Category 1" being the most severe of corrosive ratings for skin and eyes.
As an antiseptic used in hospitals, warnings state:
"Benzalkonium chloride should not be permitted to remain in prolonged contact with the patient’s skin."
Therefore, benzalkonium chloride is washed from a patient's skin, shortly after use.
Category 1 means [quote]:
"Very hazardous in case of skin contact (corrosive), of eye contact (corrosive), of ingestion, of inhalation. The amount of tissue damage depends on length of contact. Eye contact can result in corneal damage or blindness. Skin contact can produce inflammation and blistering. Inhalation will produce irritation to gastro-intestinal or respiratory tract, characterised by burning, sneezing and coughing. Severe over-exposure can produce lung damage, choking, unconsciousness or death."
Parents are not advised to wash away benzalkonium chloride (in WaterWipes), after use.
The manufacturer might argue that WaterWipes only contains "trace" amounts of this corrosive chemical, but benzalkonium chloride remains, nevertheless, a Category 1 Corrosive Chemical and is sufficiently present that it can be perceived in WaterWipes by its chemical odour. Safety Data Sheets state:
"Even the relatively small amounts of benzalkonium chloride which is contained in sanitisers is sufficiently toxic as to cause the deaths of pets coming into contact with surfaces 'cleaned' with these sanitiser solutions."
The bottom line is that benzalkonium chloride is corrosive and toxic, at any dose -- "trace" or otherwise.
In regards to "The amount of tissue damage depends on length of contact...", "length of contact", as a wipe for cleaning babies' bottoms, is indefinite. Thus, "tissue damage" to babies' skins is inevitable in any degree.
This Category 1 corrosive chemical is further locked in by immediate nappy coverage.
Safety Data Sheets inform us that benzalkonium chloride is "mutagenic to humans" -- [quote] "causes cell mutation" and "genetic mutation"; also stating [quote]:
"Toxic to kidneys, liver, heart, gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular system, central nervous system".
As a mutogen, benzalkonium chloride is also a Classified Reproductive System Toxin -- stating [quote]:
"May affect genetic material (mutagen) and cause adverse reproductive effects (foetotoxicity, fertility [female]) based on laboratory experiments on animals."
(In animal studies, benzalkonium chloride reduced overall fertility of its subjects. And where pregnancy was successful, a huge 40% of those pregnant females died either in late pregnancy or in the process of giving birth.)
It is of concern that a mutogenic chemical is present in a product used on babies' bottoms and reproductive body parts.
Also, how many parents use baby wipes for wiping their baby's hands and face when out and about, before and after food? WaterWipes.com, themselves, show images of WaterWipes being used on baby's face. Benzalkonium chloride is stated to cause "corneal damage or blindness" yet how easily could a young child rub his eyes after mum has just cleaned his hands with wipes? Or, how easily could a mother wipe a baby's full face, inadvertantly in the proximity of the child's eyes?
Similarly, in regards to benzalkonium chloride's damage to the intestinal tract, caring parents conveniently clean babies' hands with wipes before food, but children inherently put their fingers in their a mouths.
If WaterWipes' suppliers of grapefruit seed extract choose to irresponsibly supply its extract to include toxic ingredients such as benzalkonium chloride, then WaterWipes should be seeking a more responsible and caring supplier -- a supplier who doesn't use such cheap, for-profit toxic chemicals in their manufacturing process.
Like all parents, we purchased WaterWipes because we believed WaterWipes were an all-natural product which would protect our babies' skin. If WaterWipes cared about our babies, they would reinstate 'care', over profitability, as their primary purpose.

New look, totally different quality
After 3 years using waterwipe.. we have to say goodbye. The quality of waterwipe is totally not the same as before after they changed the package. Very sad… but it is what it is .. I already canceled my Amazon monthly subscription.
Please Bring Back the Original!
Our family (including the adults!) have been using water wipes for the last 4 consecutive years. We’ve used wipes for our first child, second, and now third. We are so so disappointed and bummed with the “new look” water wipes. It is beyond just new packaging, the wipes are not only smaller, but less damp (very dry), and have a glue-stick-like smell to them.
Before, we would recommend these wipes to all parents and even adults who wanted something sensitive skin friendly.
We are so sad the quality has changed and the price definitely doesn’t fit the quality as these wipes are now just like the other wipes on the market.
Water Wipes has unfortunately lost a years-long customer and we can no longer advise others to buy this “new look” product.
Please, please bring back your original wipes/formula.
New product is toxic!
WaterWipes used to be pure. Now they are toxic. They have added benzalkonium chloride. Studies have concluded that it is a highly toxic chemical. They still advertise as if the product is pure. It's heartless. Misleading parents to think they are using a safe product when really they're exposing their babies to this toxic chemical. It's unbelievable.
Unbelievably horrified and disappointed…
Unbelievably horrified and disappointed with the “new” water wipes. The smell is absolutely atrocious that even my 4 year old commented on it. The wipes are so dry and do not remove soil off of skin what so ever compared to the old wipes. My daughter is 9 months and she had never once gotten a bottom rash with the old wipes. Now she has been getting terrible rashes. Once we put two and two together, stopped using the “new” water wipes, and switched to another brand, her rashes have cleared up. I feel like a horrible mom for using these on her since the new roll out. It’s funny as the company is responding to all of the horrible reviews with a copy and pasted message about “saving our earth.” What about protecting the children these wipes are being used on? That should be #1. Shame shame on them. Also funny they only pull 5 star reviews for their website but every other platform you can find has terrible reviews of the “new look” wipes. Ugh.
Why are your wipes stink of alcohol??
Why are your wipes stink of alcohol??? You are disgrace!!! Liars!!!!
Not buying them anymore
It's laughable how they are trying to sell the idea that the new product is going to be as good as the previous one and save the planet. Regardless, it is terrible and does not solve my problem (so it's worthless), and I have already switched to another non-biodegradable brand as it is now impossible to source the old ones anymore. The old version was just PERFECT. How to destroy customers and a company for an ideological improvement that is only in their minds...

garbage!
I’m having to use twice as many wipes as I used to. The new wipes are horrible. Feel like this company straight robbed me. I could have gotten this quality for a fraction of the price. Lost a longtime customer.
