These are not the “same wipe new look” they are extremely rough/scratchy and dry. Definitely NOT worth the price tag. Will be switching to a different brand.
How can you calm that Water Wipes are…
How can you calm that Water Wipes are still pure? Yes now they are biodegradable but you are using a product that is more harmful to children! You are more worried about the environment than you are about human life! Please educate yourselves how Viscose is made. So terrible you went from one not so great product Polyester to 100% Viscose which is a more harmful product all because of the new Green Deal process across the World! Everyone this is how Viscose is made with terrible products….. Viscose is made by using cellulose wood pulp that is treated with caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) at a high pH. Carbon disulfide is added to that solution. The mix is churned, allowed to “ripen” and then mixed with more caustics to form a syrupy semi-liquid that is what they call “viscose”. The Rayon syrup is forced through tiny spinning nozzles submerged in a bath of sulfuric acid, like sprinklers irrigating a garden. It is in this environment that the extruded filaments of viscose rayon fibers coagulate and grow. This is a highly polluting process and releases many toxic chemicals into the air and waterways surrounding production plants and now in return is being used on Babies Bottoms!?!? How about trying Organic cotton next go around?

Misleading advertising on new wipes
DO NOT BUY THE NEW WIPES.
I've been using water wipes for just over a year and was nearly out of the old version which are pricey, but amazing. I bought the new ones to try which advertised something along the lines of "new packaging, same great wipes".
THEY ARE NOT THE SAME WIPES. The formulation has changed as noted in the replies to other reviews. Changing 80% of the material of the product and trying to pass it off as the same thing is laughable. It's a completely different product.
While I can appreciate the ESG considerations, the new wipes are honestly terrible. They feel thinner and are physically smaller when laid out compared to the old ones. They may or may not absorb more water, but that does not mean they put out as much when wiping. This product should not be able to be advertised as "the same great wipes" as before. Would be surprised if nobody's made a complaint to the ACCC.
Will not be buying these again and highly recommend anyone who is going to buy these to look elsewhere. The current product is inferior to most other brands I've tried.

So disappointed that these have changed. They WERE the best wipes ever. Now just the same as all the others. Not buying anymore.

Used this brand previously for my other children when they were babies and swore by them. I'm due a baby again and have been stocking up on this brand in preparation, I had opened a pack and they are nowhere near as good or as moist as they used to be. I was so disappointed I came to Google thinking I had got a bad batch to find the product had been changed. I understand that the world is changing however these are so expensive for how dry they are now, it's not worth buying them again

Used the wonderful old version water wiped for years, did not mind the costs.
But the new version is too small, dry and even smells bad.
So disappointing, will have to find another product.

I have a new born son and brought the water wipes as they sounded perfect. But when trying to hold he’s legs and only have one hand to remove the wipes from packet it is an impossible task. Considering they are made especially for this situation this is a big problem and makes it very difficult. Will not be using this brand again.

My experience is exactly the same as others. Dry, rough and the chemical smell is horrible, it smells like chlorine. I thought I must have received a bad batch but every packet I open stinks.
I emailed the company and received no reply. Will not be using this brand anymore which is unfortunate as I was a loyal customer.

So disappointed
So disappointed, as a mum with a baby who has eczema these wipes were out life saver. Gentle and soft and so much moisture which made it easy to be gentle on her nappy changes. Unfortunately bought a 3 pack and thought they were fake or I bought the cheaper brand accidentally only to come on here and realise you have changed them for good. I am no longer a fan and unfortunately will not be buying again. The next best is the Curash Water-wipes which I have to say are a million times better than these ‘new look’ ones you have made

I am very disappointed with the new version of water wipes
I am very disappointed with the new version of water wipes. I have been using the old style water wipes since my one year old son was born and they were brilliant. He is now particularly wriggly when changing nappies and with the older wipes I could quickly get him clean, however the new ones are less effective than normal baby wipes. They also all clump together and so I have had to use four or five wipes where I would have used far fewer before. It is such a shame as there hadn’t really been anything as good as the older style water wipes on the market.
I will no longer be buying these as I cannot justify paying four times the price of baby wipes for something less effective.

Agree with all the negative reviews…
Agree with all the negative reviews here.
I have been using Water Wipes for 18 months and have found the recent rebrand/new formulation to be significantly inferior to the previous wipes.
The new wipes are very dry, rough, clump together easily, and are much more difficult to remove from the pack.
Recent reviews on Amazon and the TrustPilot reviews below concur with this. The formulation has very clearly changed so why Water Wipes are lying to customers with the ‘new look, same great wipes’ badge on the box is baffling. This suggests the wipes themselves haven’t changed and seems to be false advertising to me.
I understand the admirable goal of going biodegradable. But if you can’t do this without completely destroying the positive features of your product, it seems like a silly move. The new wipes are truly horrible to use.
I will not be purchasing Water Wipes again, unless someone can direct me to where I can purchase the original, superior wipes.

the new ones are a RIP OFF!! IT WAS SO BAD I THOUGHT IT WAS COUNTERFIT!"!!! so dry.never again,ONCE THE LEADER OF WIPES NOW NOT WORTH THE SOILED NAPPY TO WIPE WITH!!
Agree with every negative comment below…
Agree with every negative comment below about the quality of these ‘new’ biodegradable wipes. They are so dry it’s like using toilet roll on your poor baba. I was using water wipes since she was born 10 months ago and have now switched to Sainsburys own newborn sensitive wipes which are about 50p a pack. Not necessarily loads better but at least their price reflects the quality.
Nowhere now has the non biodegradable version so this ends our journey with water wipes.
As a brand this is terrible to see them go from the best in the marketplace to utterly sub par. To the water wipes production and development team….work harder to make these wipes bigger, stronger and actually add some WATER!!!!! I’d switch back in an instant if they could get the quality back. Bet their shares took a nosedive (I don’t know anyone still using them now).

New wipes are so disappointing
New wipes are so disappointing. After using the old wipes for a few months, after trialling so many to get the right ones for my baby, these were the best out there. Now they are thin, small, dry and more expensive. I actually questioned if these were counterfeit wipes. I actually emailed water wipes directly but got no reply.
I had an old pack that I compared with the new ones and everything was different about them. They lack water which goes against the product name!
I am all for helping the environment and will use anything biodegradable and eco friendly where I can, but these are now not good for my baby as they are so dry, that he comes first in this instance. I will be using an alternative product from now on. Water wipes you have lost so many customers due to this.

The biodegradable ones are a disaster
The new biodegradable ones are so disappointing! I found the original ones brilliant for my baby’s sensitive skin, but these new ones are dry in comparison, and tear easily. I’ve found much cheaper ones that do a better job.
What a pity that they’ve given up their uniquely brilliant quality product while trying to get on the biodegradable bandwagon. 🤦♀️

New style wipes are awful…you can get the same texture wipes for a fraction of the price. They tear easy, don’t come out of the packet easy and are a massive hassle to use when in a hurry! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE OVERPRICED WIPES.

Nothing wrong with the old ones
The new biodegradable wipes are terrible. I use twice as many wipes as they are thin, rip easily and not as wet. I get through 2 boxes a month that i have on a monthly subscription that i have cancelled in search of some better quality wipes. I have been a customer for over 6 years and always loved the water wipes.
