Rather use WordPress

You know a platform is bad when I'd rather use WordPress! First off Webflow fails at even the simple things. No native icons, uploading custom icons is a joke and requires you to copy the actual icon image itself just to use it which means having another browser tab open just to add an icon. Flexbox does not work half the time which is ridiculous considering it is one of the most popular CSS layout tools available. Their pricing structure is unnecessarily complex. No Firefox support for the Designer (seriously?). Instability and crashes. The Designer UI is TERRIBLE, features are hidden or are so buried they are easy to miss. There's more but I feel as though I have made my point, Webflow is just bad and seriously needs to go back to the drawing board. This is a prime example of good marketing but terrible execution.

Worst startup team in the universe

Great idea, great platform, worst customer support ever. These guys take years to fix critical bugs that could be fixed in a couple of hours.

Gotten a 140m investment at the beginning of the year, still looks like there is only one part-time developer behind the whole product? Unbelievable...

Nothing about Webflow flows

It's no coincidence that you'll see people complaining about Webflow's support on literally every platform. It is so hard to get hold of someone from this faceless company when stuff goes wrong, and when you do it's 3 - 5 business days between each email. There is no contact number, no live chat, their social media accounts don't respond either.

The site/account management of Webflow is so unintuitive you have to work against it for simple tasks. You can't move site plans over to another project. You have to contact 'support' which again will take weeks. Them asking questions with them reviewing the answer within 3 - 5 days and sending another question.

There are so many hidden limitations to the point where the features list on the pricing page is misleading.

On the Pro designer account, you cannot create websites with a full CMS as there is a limit until a site plan is added. Meaning you have to start charging the client whilst you're building the site. Everything about Webflow works against the designer and client to make it the most aggravating solution in the webspace.

If you cancel a plan, you don't get the remainder of the month you've already paid for. The money-grabbing from this company has no end.

The lack of updates this year is honestly alarming, nothing meaningful from the wishlist that has standard feature requests sitting dead for YEARS. GDPR still hasn't been implemented. What?

Find another platform or learn to code is all I can say. Free yourself from this awful platform.

Couldn’t be more satisfied

From just knowing a few things about HTML and CSS I’m now able to create professional, functional and responsive websites. Thanks to Webflow. I can’t relate to some of the bad reviews here since I personally, only have good experiences with the platform and support. If it weren’t for Webflow I’m not sure if I’d had pursued my dream of becoming a web designer.

Not fond of writing reviews but this sucks so much I had to write a review on it

Not fond of writing reviews. But this platform really sucks I cant resist. Don't try it. Really the worst total waste of time and effort (laggy and crashing), no wonder It had bad reviews. Crap so deep I can't even put into words jeez! it has weird way of doing styling. Why not stick to fundamentals dammit. Stick to Divi or Vanilla whatever. No wonder you're getting left behind.

Worst Designer in the History of Web Design

It's the worst UI and "Designer" I've ever experienced.
You would be better off typing out raw HTML code in notepad.

At least then something as simple as centering your images or creating a friggin table wouldn't be the nightmare this is.

Powerful website builder, terrible customer service

It's a very powerful website builder, but I've messaged the customer service 2 or three times now. No one has ever gotten back to me. After hosting over 10 websites with them, one would think that they'd care about customer loyalty.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to move to another provider, because I do need customer assistance with basic functionalities, like moving websites with CMS to the company Team Account.

The entire structure is too expensive an unwieldy. Don't bother.

Don't bother, it's not what it used to be

This system used to be neat but now it's bloated, difficult to learn, extremely expensive and support is downright horrible. Also, if you pay for hosting and decide to cancel your plan, they shut your site down immediately, regardless if you paid for the month, a practice which I believe to be illegal. Don't bother with these people or their system, there are better alternatives.

Don't even think about it

As with all tools and softwares, I understand there is a learning curve that's required to handle them.
It's all great on the surface and their academy, but when you start making your project, the designing and developing are a pain.
Very slow, unpractical.. I don't understand who can make the most of this tool unfortunately.
Their UI is clean and nice though, I like that a lot!

The best web tool but it's too expensive.

Webflow is the best web tool available, but it's too expensive.

The service you get is great. It is effortless to build fully working websites, but you have to pay a lot...

The account billing options:

1. FREE account = you can create 2 websites and can use client billing.
2. LITE $16/mo account = you can create only 10 websites and can export the code.
3. PRO $36/mo account = unlimited projects and all the fancy stuff.

You have to keep in mind that if you want to host a website with your own domain, you have 7 additional premium plans that start with $12/mo and end with $212/mo. I want to note here for the cheapest e-commerce plan, Webflow wants a 2% fee for each sale.
There is also no way of paying it with Paypal at the moment, even though this is something promised by Webflow staff since 2018. You can't use Webflow's premium features if you don't have a credit card.

All in all, it is a great tool to learn web development or start a one-man agency, but if you want to go with that, you need one of the more expansive plans.

My suggestions to Webflow on how to make the service more attractive.
1. Include at least one free basic site plan in your Lite account plan. This change would allow people to build their portfolio, buy a domain and host their website and go into business faster.
2. Please include more payment options than credit cards for your account and site plans. I had clients who went to another developer for the dev part only because the pricing is so high and no alternative payment methods.
3. Make the account and site plans more VALUABLE by adding more features or lowering the price.

Webflow is the most powerful webpage builder I've ever used

Webflow solved so many problems for me as a marketer! I was constantly battling for web development time and this tool allowed me to build robust, beautiful pages (more so than any other web tool I've ever used) without coding experience and that I was in complete control of the responsivity (I used to have to go and forth with the web team a million times to get it to where we wanted it). We don't host on webflow (I'd like to get to that point), but exporting the code has worked well for me (once our web team figured out how to make it work with our current CMS--which was the only involvement they needed to do--now I can develop our site completely independently). I LOVE this tool!

Worst support ever in an website builder

Worst support ever for their platform. They only have email support and send you links to tutorials.

They have solved 0 of my problems and I ended up having to hire external consultants at $150 per hour.

If they had chat support it would make them a much better platform.

They have the best design for websites but with such bad support and a learning curve only buy webflow if you have a dedicated dev to fix issues.

Webflow Support is really bad

Webflow Support is really bad. They do not answer on your questions and have a standard reply with "Have you tried incognito?" for every single question. Yes I have, if you even would have watched the loom recording I have made you would have known that I also had the multiple bugs in incognito.

Ofcourse they can't replicate the bug and everything works fine all the time at their place.. Sure.. Multiple accounts have the same issue, on multiple different desktops on different places..

Would not recomment Webflow, the prices are high and their support is really bad. They even f.cked up my backup and told me to do all the filters on my website manually.. Yeah, it's good that i know how they were set, if I didn't I would be screwed much more.. Thanks Webflow for making me do your work, while we're paying you to do it.

Not That Good

Too expensive for no apparent reason. The builder is complex and has a large learning curve to it. However, once you learn it, it becomes fairly easy.

Hosting your website with Webflow is not as secure as other hosting companies. In fact, they don't provide that in depth security that most major hosting companies offer.

The free plan is terrible and useless and are limited to two pages. You need to upgrade to a paid plan in order to use the builder efficiently. Even that is not enough unless you upgrade to their most expensive plan.

SEO with Webflow is not great. If you want optimal SEO than Webflow is not the right thing for you.

If you want to build an eCommerce store, this is not for you. Webflow is limited on the functionality of a web store so if you are looking to extend functionality and customizations then Wordpress/WooCommerce will be the best option.

I recommend Wordpress or Magento.

Free plan sucks for big sites. :(

It is bad for big sites,
only allows 2 pages and in comparison that's worse than most website builder :(.
Webflow tries to balance this by creating the designs look fantastic,
but nonetheless, big or even medium and some small sites wouldn't be able to put up with that.

sorry for my english.
