From zero to hero then to zero again

I started my career off with Webflow 4 years ago. Webflow has changed my life, got me from zero to hero literally. The first two years were great. Lots of product updates, new features, good communications with the community. I was frankly fall in love with Webflow and was suggesting to everyone in my field.

Since two years I have no idea what happened to Webflow but it started to sound like a scam product. No any major changes since 2 years. Time to time they announce minor features which noone asked for. Webflow ignores its own community and doesn't keep their promises.

They increased their prices without any new features. They announced Membership and Logic years ago but still nothing happened.

It seems like they are too busy with their "mainstream" marketing strategy. They love posting mainstream stuff, outside puffy inside empty.

I still use webflow and love using it but when there is another product in the market as good as Webflow then I will def switch my working flow.

I don't think the company is leading by educated and experienced people.

Mislead and overcharged me.

I am having a very bad experience with this service. It is a shame as it has some good features and a lot of promise.

I was in a rush to make a better website. I created a website on webflow, but it wouldn't let me edit it as a designer. It said I can invite one person, but it wouldn't let me. This seemed like a bug but I didn't have time to address. I therefore paid for a core workspace just to invite a developer to help me. I have since tried to switch to a free account but webflow won't let me stop paying for the core space (which I don't think I should have needed). I have contacted support and it has been slow and not very helpful. Will update if things change but so far I wish I had used a different service and may change my provider.

Not useful for mobile apps

Looking to build an MVP for an idea I have and It took a while to grasp the editor and how to use webflow in general after investing a lot of hours it became a bit easier but realising it's not useful for mobile apps. I won't be using this anymore.

It does the job

It does the job, it just needs a little bit of time to comprehend. I had little difficulty getting the support needed however, I managed to complete what I wanted; you just need to invest some time into it.

Hosts feed back

Ok, so where do we begin?

The builder itself is great, Pricing not so much. We have been using them for some time now for a few small projects and for our much larger site.

So as a builder works great, When it comes to speed not so much and you can tell webflow are not hosting types.

They give no option for standard things like gzip and site speed can be slowed due to them calling so much thats not neeed.

We decided to run tests on multiple sites hosted by webflow, not just ours and found that standard hosting would provide better specs.

So realy great as a builder very poor for hosting as poor security headers and poor CDN.

Only expensive as they decided to use AWS hosting rather than proprietary on something like openstack that would give more granular control and better performance if managed right.

Also use a CDN thats poor so you cant use cloudflare as it causes loop backs and slower DNS lookups.

If better hosting and standard options above were included then we would give much better ranking.

Invest the time and Webflow will repay you ten fold

I originally hated Webflow.

I was a die hard Wordpress user but inspired by the whole no-code movement I took a long shot on Webflow.

I've been a die hard wordpress user for some time but had become increasingly frustrated with the million+1 add ons needed to get anything real done and its lack lustre performance

So I took the leap and invested in Webflow and I hated it outright. The first few months, required steep learning curve and I was still in 'wordpress' mentality.

Thankfully the webflow ecosystem is exceptional and you need to invest the time to educate yourself but its well worth it.

Once I got my head around Webflow, used the resources available, the excellent university, forum, tons of youtube videos and their support which I agree is a little slow, I was well on my way. To develop a custom offering for a fraction of the cost and time involved of managing a wordpress stack.

Loss of 1star for no instant support & asset library limitations

I've been making web content for 20…

I've been making web content for 20 years, and was excited to launch a suite of new projects using their service. However, I experienced really terrible support. I can't believe how slow and ridiculous. The rulebook for engaging with Webflow support seems to be so stringent that you really can't get through to a person who cares in a meaningful way. The robotic inhuman responses are frankly insulting. What a shame. I was about to recommend this service to my entire company. Given their support issues, I really can't make a recommendation to anyone in good conscience.

Webflow is a great piece of software

Webflow is a great piece of software, but feels expensive.
the other issue is support is sooo slow and no live chat so you basically have to wait for snail mail.
And for the price we pay for webflow this is unacceptable and for this i give it two stars

AVOID WEBFLOW

AVOID WEBFLOW! It is the worst, most frustrating web dev tool I have ever encountered. If you have been sold it by an agency they got a HUGE referral fee. You got a HUGE P.I.T.A.

You have to hire someone to get help. STAY AWAY! I have 15 years of web dev exp. This is a disgusting clunky hard to use, time waster.

Just use wordpress

Just use wordpress. This is the worst web dev tool I've ever used. They say it's easy to use but it's honestly a clunky mess and if I hadn't bought a template already on it I wouldn't be even bothering. I'll be finishing my site and then transferring it over to Wordpress. Waste of time

This is one of the worst content…

This is one of the worst content management systems I've ever used. It logs you out for no reason right in the middle of creating or editing content, and doesn't save your chances. This is maddening! The SEO features are extremely limited. Do not use this. Get on Wordpress instead.

I have used Webflow for about 2 years

I have used Webflow for about 2 years now. It does a good job and is quite easy to use. If you want to have a crack at your own website, lack coding skills and love WYSIWYG - then this would be the one for you. I has recently gotten more expensive, updating to a new package that no one really asked for. So this is definitely an unwanted expenditure increase and a bit off-putting. I do wish companies would not just assume people want to give them more money. I had written to them asking for discount - they seemed uninspired by my request.

I've had great service and the product is amazing!

The product is so amazing and fun! If there is an issue it's because of my own understanding of coding (Which I have none!!). In the 2 months since i've tried their software i've had great experience and service with interactions with several employees from their company with my issues (not related to their software). I'm not an employee at Webflow, but I do believe they are doing something revolutionary and take my hat off to them and their team!

Seriously the best thing to happen to the internet. I can't wait to be part of this evolving technology – it's seriously impressive !!! Full flexibility, insanely simple, this is Michelin Star compared to the "I eat cereal for dinner right out of the box" of traditional web builders

CORPORATE GREED | ABSURDLY EXPENSIVE

If you wanted to host 3 websites which get 100 visitors a month, it would cost $1000+/year. THATS MESSED.

They said they have a 90% off discount for students, so I apply for a student discount. Then after I've applied for a student discount they say it's only valid for one project. Like HUH? So it would cost me $700 instead of $1000 per year for just hosting. Screw that. It should cost $3 a month at the most, per site, LIKE EVERY OTHER HOSTING OPTION

How are they trying to charge a student $700/year for web hosting for sites that will get no visitors. I could host all my sites on Amazon AWS FOR FREE

I added a bank card to Webflow to check pricing, and then they STOLE that card info and added it to my account and started making charges using it, when I was planning to just let my hosting plans and everything else lapse. Sketchy dishonest weird business practices.
