The Very Worst
I have been with Weebly for about three years. In the past, their customer service was excellent.
Lately I have not been able to get into my account. I have lots of accounts with others and know how to overcome technical difficulty. This is by far the worst website I have ever come across- just to log in! I have no confidence that they will contact me back.
Why they ruined a good business totally baffles me. They deserve to go out of business. I am going to Wix.
Impossible to contact them
I have been trying to help a client who had an old website with Weebly. I wrote a new website for them and needed to transfer the domain name over. Weebly had the domain locked, which means it has to be unlocked and a code given in order for it to be transferred. They are legally required to do this within 5 days of an unlock request. We have now been dealing with them going on for three weeks. My client could not remember her log in details, so we were trying to reset the password. This is the first step in the problems. No reset emails were received. I then contacted Weebly through messenger on Facebook. They emailed a password reset. It didn’t work. You get a verification key error. Weebly says you need to open a browser in incognito or private mode so you don’t get the error - it doesn’t work. If you look online this is a HUGE issue with weebly that they have not fixed. There is NO way to contact them, other than messenger. Then all you get is an automatic message saying someone will contact you. Then it can be days before you just get someone send a standard message. They really have no customer service to speak of. We have submitted a complaint to ICANN as they have failed in their duty to unlock a domain within 5 days. In the meantime we are stuck….all emails and messages are ignored and we cannot make the new website live as we can’t get the domain transferred over. I would recommend you avoid weebly like the plague. I have never encountered such terrible or non existent customer service. Especially if you live in the U.K. - do not go with weebly. Plenty of other website providers who actually have customer service in place and can help you.
Poor customer service
Weebly works fine as long as you don't need help. The customer service is very bad. Site offline for 1 week and I'm still waiting for a response.
They dont give refunds
Trialled site based on 30 day money back guarantee. Paid for pro site bundle which I cancelled after two days. Two weeks later and 4 emails since and still no response except. I would not pay unless you are certain you want this service and be aware that they have no customer service.
weebly customer service really bad
Weebly customer service has gotten terrible since Square bought them. Very little help most of the time. Seriously considering moving my site to another host - but that seems like alot of work. Might be worth it.
9 year PRO Site Owner
I'm a long standing going on 9 years pro site owner. Service used to be fair but now I can't even make changes to my payment method. Have tried all of their written standard directions but there's no fix and no one to contact. Unacceptable especially for business owners. Go elsewhere, I am.
UPDATE Weebly was purchased by Square and offers different options.
Google Workspace
I've been trying to move my Google Workspace account from Weebly to another provider for several weeks now with still no response from Weebly support.
Non-existent customer service
I built my website with weebly for my Reiki business (Alternative therapies) and after I purchased a business plan for a year my account was deactivated, meaning that the online shop does not work. They said in the email that it is because they do not support my type of industry, and they sent me a list of industries they do not support. I guess that they are considering me an occultism service LOL How funny is that in the 21st century? I could not believe it!!!! They are considering a worldwide used alternative therapy an occultism service... It is really conservative, old-fashioned and basically ridiculous as there is nothing occult about my service.
The worst part of this is that all my attempts to get in touch with them and at least get some sort of explanation have failed. There is absolutely anyone in customer service, no chat, any email response and there is a telephone number which does not even ring when you call? Unbelievable. I am super disappointed as this looks like a proper professional company but they are way far from being it, and judging from the rest of comments here I don't even know how can they still be able to offer services, in my opinion they are SCAMMERS. Everyone stay away from weebly.
Weebly was once the best
Weebly was once the best. There were some bugs in the drag and drop editor, but it was simple. Then Square acquired them and it went to heck in a basket. Other than FAQs, which are outdated now, it's impossible to get through for any help. The themes have become stale and Square started to squeeze more for every feature, like membership and marketing tools. The old community feel has gone. I would/will move my sites, but it's hassle just to restore that approx 25% drop in experience.
Support non-existent now. Themes ugly.
I have been a customer for years now, but stopping at the end of my current billing period.
I find the themes old-fashioned and fairly ugly, as well as limited use. It's not a real drag and drop builder.
The main problem is lack of communication though. If they don't have the answer on their FAQs you're forgotten about. There is an email address that I've contacted 2 or 3 times in the last 3 months and have heard nothing back. Since I got my domain through them with the website builder, and they're not answering my questions, I will have to forget that domain that's now over 2 years old, and purchase a similar one elsewhere as I'm not going to pay their prices just to keep my domain and business email.
Thanks Weebly, it's been fun, and I had recommended you to many others, but since the buyout the lack of support is a real problem.
Full of bugs and issues and the support is not helping
I just created a simple and small website and online shop (for consulting services) and decided to go with Weebly based on positive online articles. Boy, I wish I had checked Trustpilot too (as I usually do). The website builder is very simple and limited - which I expected. The big issue is that it's infested with bugs and problems and apparently they have done recently a major do-over since almost online support / help articles had references to functionalities that were not there or screenshots that look completely different than the interface I have.
I contacted the support through the chat to get some of the issues resolved and they did help with the most pressing issue (the shop was not working) but I never got a resolution on half of the questions or bugs that I asked about.
I'm giving 2* (instead of 1*) for the fact that I did manage to create the site and the shop and the purchases are working. But some things are still not working (for instance their gift card functionality is broken and the support had no idea what to do about it or not all the payment methods are working etc.).
Unfortunately I bought a 2 year package so I'll stick with Weebly for a while but if they don't start to get their act together soon, I will not renew and definitely will take my 2 other website projects on an another platform to begin with.
For the time being I would recommend staying away from Weebly.
Terrible customer service and very…
Terrible customer service and very old-fashioned product which is not user friendly and with a lot of features not available to UK users.
I had used them for years and had a problem with my site. When I tried to contact support I found out they had discontinued support for UK customers with no notice. Do not use. Try Webador, they seem much better.
Poor customer service
I have a case with Weebly since November 23rd and they have not provided a resolution ignored my support ticket lied on chat saying that the team handling our account would reach out (They have not).
You guys said I would get a refund for…
You guys said I would get a refund for the unused part of my pro plan but would need to email me later. When I never got an email I chatted in again and was told I would not be getting a refund. When I asked to speak with a manager I was told I would be called within 72 hours. No call. So here I am with no pro plan and no refund. Would have kept the pro plan until it expired if I would have known I would not be sent the prorated amount back. Then I get blamed because I didn't know your terms of service that I needed to request the cancel within 30 days. First rep should have clarified that. I'm very mad and disappointed and will be leaving a very negative review where I can find a place to do it online.
Great product - Terrible Customer Service
Great product! But it has been weeks since I started experiencing technical difficulties and haven't gotten ahold of anyone in support. I have even tried to upgrade my plan to have access to phone and no luck.

I really hate writing negative reviews .... But ....
I really hate writing negative reviews and avoid doing so as far as reasonably possible, but in this case I feel I have very little option. I'm not sure what SLA's Weebly have in place but surely any business must recognise that to leave an email unanswered from April is bad customer service on any level?!! So I emailed again in May and then in August. The latter receiving a standard "sorry we are very busy" reply several weeks later, with the comment that they "hoped my problem had been resolved" - it hadn't and still hasn't!! I emailed again in October and unsurprisingly I am waiting for a reply. Quite frankly this is just not good enough!
We run a very small joinery firm and have a Weebly site which functioned perfectly until 12-18 months ago. Visitors to the mobile version of our site cannot see any graphics or images, nothing will load unless on a PC. Seemingly this is due to our template being "old" and not supported on the mobile version. Weird as it did work fine at one point. My simple question to Weebly was "Can our existing data be moved onto a mobile friendly version, using a template suitable for joinery without losing any information or imagery?" Well, it seems this must be THE most difficult question in the universe as I have asked on at least 3 occasions over the space of 7 months and am yet to receive an answer. Who would have thought that little old me would come up with the most difficult question in Web design?!
Come on Weebly - sort yourselves out, have the common decency to reply to my email/s and stop your poor business practices reflecting badly on our business. I'm getting a little bit tired of explaining to my customers that the mobile version of our site is not up to standard through no fault of our own. Needless to say I will not be endorsing your products I'm afraid.
Horrible customer support
Horrible customer support. You can upgrade any minute. But no support for downgrading!
