Completed the first aid course for Forest School. Although a long day in total, so worth it! The course itself was so informative, clearly laid out with a presentation and not rushed. Cover... See more

I recently did my Paediatric First Aid with Carolyn at Winterbury Training which was fantastic! This is my 3rd time doing it with Carolyn and not once have I ever felt like it was a waste of time or that I haven’t learnt anything new! Carolyn keeps it fun which makes the 6 hours go by very quickly. I highly recommend booking with Winterbury Training, you will not be disappointed!

Winterbury Training is a well run professional Training Enterprise with likeable supportive and enthusiastic Trainers. The First Aid training and Information was relatable to each candidates knowledge and background too which was very helpful
Very engaging and informative first aid course which I learnt a lot from.

Carolyn made the 3 days of First Aid at work training really enjoyable. The presentation, discussion, theory and practical were all really engaging. This was one of the best First aid courses I have attended.

I found the course to be well laid out, with excellent delivery and engaging. Lots of little nuggets of information I have never had in my over 25 years or First Aid course attending and great refreshers for that which I had learned in the past. It was the first time I have had defib training in a course, which was invaluable, as I now feel much more confident should I ever need to use one and I now know how to locate them in any location I am visiting.
I would highly recommend a first aid course with Winterbury and will be returning in 3 years to renew.

I recently completed my Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET 3) with Carolyn from the Winterbury team. No review I write will ever do her justice but I'll give it my best try! I cannot put into words how truly fantastic Carolyn is. Our teaching sessions were engaging, fun, and her infinite amount of knowledge and experience shone throughout. The AET 3 is all about learning how to teach - you would have thought Carolyn was the creator of the qualification! I aspire to be a teacher/trainer myself one day and I'll be pleased if I end up half as good as her. I look up to Carolyn with huge admiration and I will forever draw upon her teaching methods to use in my own practice.
As a side note - around the start of the course, I began to experience some health difficulties which impacted my ability to engage with the taught sessions and the coursework element. Carolyn was so flexible, accommodating, and understanding of this. Without her patience and support, I couldn't have hoped to finish my AET 3 (something I've been wanting to complete for a very long time). Thank you Carolyn!

A very worthwhile training day, made fun and relatable to our workplace and all the staff who attended. Carolyn has great presentation skills, bringing the training theory to life with real life examples and stories. A good balance of theory and practical time within the day, lovely to use a local company with local venue, can't recommend Winterbury Training enough. Thank you for a great training day!

I didn’t think I could have fun at a first aid course on a Saturday but I really enjoyed myself! I came away feeling super confident with paediatric first aid having learnt it in a fun way! The whole day I felt comfortable enough to answer / ask questions. Even though I’ve done a first aid course before I also learnt thinks I didn’t know prior!
100% recommend.

The course was really planned and resourced. The trainer was knowledgeable and kept a good pace.

Winterbury Training is by far, the best first aid course I have ever attended. I had always felt previous trainers on courses from other companies talked at you and you came out with little chance of remembering anything! This is absolutely not the case with Carolyn and her team! Engaging and insightful! Have recommended to friends and family!

Carolyn is magnificent, she balances real life examples with humour. She is highly engaging and it is very easy to pass if you listen, do and watch the videos. I love the way Carolyn picks out how people learn best and uses learning arrangements to ensure they have an equal chance of success.

The topic was challenging at times due to the nature of safeguarding but Carolyn made it as interesting as possible and used humour where appropriate so it wasn’t too heavy. A balanced mix of listening, reading, class discussion and group discussion so it was not just staring at a screen all day. Thorough subject knowledge from Carolyn, Thankyou!
Lovely trainer who took the time to learn all our names and make us all feel relaxed whilst teaching valuable Paediatric First Aid, we covered CPR, Defib and Choking with working apparatus that made learning easier to understand.
Thank you Carolyn hope to see you again in three years
