Im not entirely sure what this is but apparently had a free trial thst was running foe a couple of years. Noticed the charge and contacted them to cancel and refund the same day. Emailed twice and never received a response.

Absolute trash. Wasting my time and patience fighting with tons of garbage adds loaded into this trash, at each and every step asks for money, a plain begger company with the sole focus on making profit. Even after a $89/year paid subsription I cannot use the features for which I already paid unless I pay even more.

If there is a lesser than to 0 star . This app is a kind of FRAUD it will default your credit card details even if you do not save it and will charge you when the free trial has ended even If you do not subscribe nor avail the free trial they automatically added the free trial to a wps pro without knowing it. You will just get inform when they already charge you.

WPS said it's application is free, I downloaded it, waited to be installed, as I was at work and be in a hurry to finish my excel sheet job. after all these efforts, it opens a read-only excel sheet for any action I need to subscribe.

Absolute scammers AVOID!!! It popped up with a free 3 day trial, however they charged me £72.99 straight away. Contacted them on their website form but they don't respond, but they'll happily take your money!
Going through my bank to get my money back then deleting this useless software.

EDIT: Im changing my review (1 to 4), they refunded me this week after saying they don't offer refund for this type.

I requested a refund because they activated a free trial of WPS Ai for 3 days. Im not aware of.
I purchased the PRO because their free version lags too much.
I requested a refund after the first payment failed. THEY RETRY THE PAYMENT EVEN THO I ALREADY SENT AN EMAIL TO CANCEL.
THEIR WEBSITE DOESNT REALLY HELP, THEIR SUBMIT TICKET IS BROKEN AND THEIR SUPPORT DOENST HELP.

Pretty much outright fraud - hijacks pdfs and then wants to charge you to do stuff you would be able to do for free without it

This worked great for a while, but recently it has gotten more inundated with ads and pop-ups asking for upgrades. But the kicker was when I was editing a word document, then it corrupted the file, SAVED IT while I tried to undo, then closed. When I went into the repair option to recover it, it demanded payment for the repair.

Much like many people here, I was also conned with the hidden charges and refused a refund. Their CS say it's their policy to not offer refunds - something illegal here in the UK and I'll be taking it to court.

Unauthorised charge of hefty amount when it stated $0. Beware!

When I attempted to use this product my card details kept showing that there was an issue so I did not use WPS. Now I am being charged and no longer require this. Over £75 for a product I did not use or realised I had a subscription for.

Signed on for 1 year regular version @ $71.99 and 3 days later was charged additional $94.99 for Pro version. DID NOT AGREE TO.

Its a scam trap. They will force you to subscribe, then you will be not able to cancel it and they will not anywhere you. If you will not pay enough attention you will get even more 3-d party uncanceleble subscriptions.

Absolutely disgusting. When I purchased this product, I was under the impression that I was paying $139.98 for the 12-month subscription, and I would never have purchased this had I known I would have to pay $81.99 every three months for something I have never used. This was not clearly explained when I purchased the subscription. Contacted them regarding this charge and was told they do not give refunds and basically it was bad luck. I will also never purchase anything from this company again and will ensure friends and colleagues do the same. Complete rip off. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs. After having used the software for a year or so, I found my documents locked without warning along with a demand that I pay for a subscription. "Fair enough," I thought, "it's a decent product so I'm happy to pay for a few months' usage." More fool me. They also signed me up - without my knowledge - to a free trial for some crappy AI software that cost me £46 after three days. And could I get that refunded? No chance. It's "their policy" not to do so, apparently. Take my word for it - they're untrustworthy as hell. Don't have anything to do with these scumbags.

I couldn't decline my trial after only a day I was using the account, contact them and no answer, so I had to pay the whole year. Really bad experience, avoid this company

wps is just disgusting
microsoft office might be expensive but come on you all know that is better...
wps asks you to upgrade for many of its faetures and its so harder to use. in wps office every button clearly showes its purpose but wps it is just complicated.
plus it's language options are also limited...
use microsoft

The app kept asking me to upgrade. I have no intention on upgrading from the free account.

As another reviewer has noted, I have used WPS free office for years and as of today, Dec 8, 2025, all my files and spreadsheets open as 'read-only' with a message that I need to upgrade to $$ per month to retain the editing features which are still advertised as free. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app; still won't let me edit new or old files.
