I have used this company for near 2 years. The amount of money I’ve given to them is a very substantial amount.
Over the past 6 months I have noticed a huge decline in the quality of service, as well as the useless app they have, the drivers are careless, they have gone from a local business to a money orientated corporation.
For example, tonight I ordered a taxi around 1am for 45 minutes in advance, the app tells you that you can book for that time without any problems. So we leave our booking, on time, as they always expect, to only call the office and be told it was another 30 minute wait ontop of that.
I work in hospitality so by no means do I go out of my way to make someone’s job harder. I called the office and politely said to the person on the other end that their app was completely useless in letting customers know waiting times.
30 minutes later the taxi turned up, total of 75 minute waiting time. I booked that taxi for 4 people (on the app), when the driver turned up he refused travel for 2 of my female friends even though I had ordered a taxi specifically for that use.
We had to leave our two friends to walk a long way home due to the taxi driver refusing, being rude, and not calling anyone to assist. I then highlighted to the driver, very politely that the app was completely insufficient to providing a good service to their loyal customers - I actually said to him that it must be very hard for him as a driver to have to deal with these complaints, to which he replied “not really, i just drive and get the money”.
To be honest, it’s absolutely shocking that the predominant taxi service in this town has no regard for local people, young women, and their safety. Even still, if you simply cannot provide these services, please state so on your absolutely useless app.
You are abusing local people, and their willingness to use your services. Actually I’d recommend ANY other taxi service apart from them and I have used them now for about 2 years. Absolutely disgusting. SORT. IT. OUT.
Dangerous and illegal driving
Called up yesterday to report one of your drivers who was driving incredibly dangerously down Stonefield road (unreasonably high speed, close to knocking off my wing mirror and then tailgating another vehicle who was driving at an appropriate speed.). The call handler I spoke to didn’t sound particularly interested, or particularly convincing that the report would be taken seriously. Was told someone would call me back at 4pm yesterday. I wasn’t at all surprised when nobody did. Today, same location one of your cars goes by with the driver clearly breaking the law and driving whilst holding his mobile phone to his ear. The reason I have now written this post/review is because these are not isolated incidents with your companies cabs along Stonefield Road. Everyday virtually we have your cabs driving at unreasonable speeds or aggressively down Stonefield Road. Clearly your company isn’t interested in the conduct of your drivers, otherwise the report would have been taken more seriously yesterday, and somebody would have followed up as I was told they would. Having now seen other negative reviews on here about attitude of staff/drivers it makes sense.

Disgusting let down unhelpful.. didn't turn up to bring my children to see my in hospital after being late to bring my partner for his visit by 30 mins when you only get a 1 hour slot due to covid and children not being allowed in the second taxi for my children to see me didn't turn up they waited outside for 20 mins in the cold even when the taxi rang and said it was outside it wasn't the office then refused to answer the calls.. could have been someone last chance to say goodbye to a loved one and 247 could have taken that away.. Disgusting..
Absolute disgrace of a place
Absolute disgrace of a place, I was told 40 minutes ago that my taxi would be 25 minutes. Long wait outside in rain but I understood. Only to ring back 35 minutes later to be told by the same man WHO TOOK MY BOOKING that I hadnt even got a booking to the address I ordered too. Really would not recommend I'll be sticking to Jenny's in future. Everyone if you want a taxi rank that friendly, fast & HONEST then Jenny's is your place. (No it's not the wrong place I am just advising people not to use this place as I was told 35 min wait when I rang back up was told there was no booking. I am telling people to use Jenny's.)

Cab driver was negative from the outset…
Cab driver was negative from the outset and non responsive from when I got into the cab. Tried to converse and no response. He spoke in broken English all the time until I suggested I was about to complain about his directions to my destination, then he was fully fluent and suggested I get out of his cab. I phoned 247 and they said the driver was entitled to do this. I had to walk several miles home. Never again with this taxi service.

Happy Christmas 247 this Christmas EVE, I enjoyed been ripped off by your cab tonight for the excess fare of £3 after 7pm from my journey from the Conquest. £9 for a 2.2 mile journey, just what I needed after attending a 12 a half hour shift in a COVID 19 Red Unit. Christmas Eve is an normal working day, not a bank holiday, and as a regular weekly passenger I find it disrespectful that you put up your fares after 7 pm knowing that NHS workers are leaving work after this time. Worst experience with 247!! Usually my experience with 247 is very good and the drivers are very polite. I called my taxi and came 5 minutes after calling, I only had £7.50 on me which usually gets me to where I need to go, but just in case I asked the man in the taxi wether it was okay that I had that amount of money and if it was enough for me to get home, which he said that it was fine and that he’d stop the amount of money that I’d have to pay him at £7.50 so I got in the car and for one the man wasn’t even wearing a mask and there was nothing in the car to protect me and the mans driving was appalling!!! At points he would go so fast that I was scared that an accident would happen!!! He then suddenly stopped at a random road which isn’t even near my house and is telling me that I need to get out the car because the amount of money had gone over £7.50!! I asked the driver wether he was being serious or not and he told me yes he was and that I needed to get out which then I had no choice to then pay him the money and then exit the car and then he just drove off and left me on this road next to a woods in the pitch black!!😡very upsetting as the rest of the drivers I have had have been very polite and nice , hopefully no one else is going to have to experience this!
Rude & not COVID secure!
Not wearing masks for starters and had no “fitted screen” between front and back seats like other taxi companies. On the phone they said my taxi was 1 minute away, I waited 15 minutes then called again to order another taxi. Taxi driver was very rude and unfriendly too! When I got in the taxi I was polite and said “hey, how are you?” and his response was “still alive unfortunately” .... not a response I would expect from a taxi driver!
Rubbish customer service, and definitely not COVID secure! Won’t be using 247 again!!!!

Awful trying to charge double. I will never reccomend these again. Plus you have to direct them as they haven't a clue where there going even with a sat nav. Are they thick!!!!

i have been using 24/7 for nearly 10 years and They are an amazing lot. when ever i have needed a taxi urgently they were there within minutes. I highly recommend them.

I always use 247247 taxi , I think that their booking ap is marvelous , you can track the vehicle , you know what driver and what car is collecting you and it gives you estimated time of arrival. You also have the choice to pay by cash or card now . Overall a very professional taxi service which I would recommend.
Amazing drivers with outstanding customer care
Just want to say thank you to the absolutely lovely taxi driver that picked me up early hours sat morning and dropped me to my front door he also waited to make sure I got inside safe . He was a true gentleman and a credit to your business .
It makes such a difference getting into a taxi where you feel totally comfortable and at ease . The punctuality of 24/7 is outstanding I use this business a lot and believe they truly care about there customers .
