4th Dimension salvage NO USE!!

If you can avoid having to use 4th Dimension please please do !!!
Started off with good feedback but soon lost all respect from me. I had a motorcycle accident and it was a very simple third party claim, hit from behind and knocked off,. Accident happened 11th August and have only had my 2nd payment today (9th December) and I feel the only reason I received my 2nd payment was because I called and emailed on a daily basis. Still do not understand why it has to be 2 payments !

If I could give a negative star rating…

If I could give a negative star rating I would.
They are easily the worst experience I have ever had with any company.
Waiting on a phone line for an hour until getting through is totally unacceptable.
Sending emails to people is just as fruitless. They are an utter DISGRACE

They even rip off trade customers

I run a motorcycle service and repair shop and one of my customers was involved in a low speed collision, their insurance company used 4th dimension to sort the claim, at first their wanted to remove the bike from my premises to their storage facility but as I had already done the crash repair assessment and quote they finally agreed to let me store the bike at my workshop. The claim was sorted and my customer got a payout but I have been unable to get any response to my emails or telephone calls so I can get paid for the work I have done or the storage of the motorcycle whilst waiting for the claim to be sorted.
The customer did not want 4th to take the bike away as they had heard that they would not be able to get it back once the claim was sorted.

Stealing money and your content

This company is stealing insurance’s money and don’t care about your motorbike if you had an accident.
They will sent a cheap hire bike as soon as possible to make the biggest bill they can.
The customer service is a joke, pretending to listen and will find any dummy excuse to make you wait longer.
On a total loss, they will avoid to give you the option to have your bike back.
The only repair on my bike was the brake handle and scratches. Of course they can have more money if they don’t send my bike back.
I managed after 4months to have my bike back and cherry on the cake I find my top case empty! (Had all the documents for my bike and tools to repair my bike in case of breakdown)
Conclusion, it is a total scam managed by thieves that found a solution to make money without any effort.
They have 20000£+ to move my bike , provide a cheap hire bike that is absolutely not matching my bike, take photos and send it back with less content.
How can the owner of this business sleep at night ?
If your bike it on their hands, I am sorry for you and you’ll need to call your insurance to deal with them.Else you will have to wait.

I recently had someone reverse into my…

I recently had someone reverse into my bike approximately a month ago. I contacted Bikesure who put me on to a company called 4th Dimension Insurance. They said that they would collect my bike and supply a hire bike so I agree and thought the service was very efficient. This process started to drag out for weeks so I looked on Trust Pilot and to my horror there was many complaints about this company. Saying such things like them being a scam and making their money from hanging on to people's bikes while charging storage and bike hire. But keeping the bikes for sometimes nine months without chasing the claim.

I then contacted 4th Dimension and asked them about these claims which they dismissed. I did ask about the progress of my claim and the lady said that unfortunately the 3rd party insurers didn’t have a phone number and therefore only could chase them by email which I just didn’t believe. I then asked for a rough time scale and she said that she would like to say 3 months but in reality it could be longer. This did not fill me with trust and the fact that my bike could be in storage earning them money for nine months or more was just not an option, especially when the accident was not my fault. I asked another lady to have my bike back and she said that I could not have the bike back which again terrified me of what is happening. I have also been in contact with Costco about the CCTV footage and they had still not been contacted by 4th dimension after a month. I also asked them whether my bike could be stored at my house and the assessor visit to do the assessment but they said it HAD to be stored with them to pursue the claim. But now I know why they HAD to have my bike and I HAD to have the hire bike as it's a money making tool.

By this time I had lost faith and trust in this organisation and I therefore contacted 4th Dimension again and asked them to have my bike back even though initially the lady said that I could not have my bike back which shocked me. I have since asked them to cancel my claim as there is no way they are keeping my bike for nine months. Today after a lot of fighting on the phone and being fobbed off I received my bike back, but this was mainly after I threatened turning up at the storage area with the police.

I really do not see the point in paying for insurance when they do not have the customers interest at heart and only earning £175 + VAT and £30 + VAT on both bike storage and bike hire and so have no interest in chasing any claim as why would they when they are earning fortunes. I will also be pursuing watchdog as this clean scam needs to be highlighted, but also the ombudsman.

Since getting my bike back, I could see that one of the brake guards had been removed. When I tried put this back on I could see clearly why as it had been bent while in the care of 4th Dimension. Disgusting!

40% of my claim kept by these rip off merchants for me to keep the salvage. I was told over the phone this was none negotiable live with it or loose my bike. The 1 thing I did in my favour was get the damaged bike home and not let them take it. Still not had money though.

Avoid 4th Dimensions

I'm currently having an ongoing issue with an existing claim. The accident which wasn't my fault caused my bike to be written off by 4th Dimension. Its been well over a month since they wrote it off and every time I try to contact them I get the same "were waiting for the third party insurance to complete their investigations"
If I'd have known my insurers used 4th Dimension I would have changed insurers straight away. 4th Dimension have been nothing but a disappointing experience. I hope others don't fall into the same trap I am in.

Total Scammers

Total Scammers, Criminals, Liars, and all in front of the so called regulators who are certainly in on the scam.
They keep your vehicle and lie about dates while doing absolutely nothing to fix it or chase the 3rd party insurers., They wont get closed down as the regulators are in on it.

Had a non-fault accident in August…

Had a non-fault accident in August 2021. Motorcycle was barely damaged. Mostly fairing and tank damage on one side. Something I could sort myself for approximately 1500 pounds. It took them 9 months to fix and return the bike 2 me. Charging storage fees to 3rd party at cost of over 30 pounds per day. You do the math. Repair quality was great so I can't fault them on that. I just wish they could put customer before profits.

DISGRACEFUL COMPANY PART 1 of 2 review

This review is in 2 parts as it wouldn't fit on one
July 2021 a van reversed into my stationary motorcycle and knocked me off. other party admitted fault and told me they would pay for any damage, even mentioned their excess was £1000. (Alarm bells)
rang Bennetts to report it, a short time later i was contacted by 4th dimension who said they would collect my bike and offered me a replacement as per the policy i had taken out with Bennetts.
I was 80 miles from home when this happened and i asked for the bike to be recovered to my home.
I was then told they wouldn't do that, and that it would only be recovered to a local garage before it was collected and taken to their own repair centre,
I asked how was I supposed to get home, and the reply was "if you ask the driver when he collects your bike, he might drop you at the railway station"
I pointed out I had in my policy a breakdown cover that would collect me and my bike and take me to where i was going or back to my home.
the reply was "yes you do but this is not a break down, it's an accident so that doesn't apply"
so basically, I was left stranded 80 miles from home.
I asked how long the repairs may take, roughly and was told around 4 weeks, they kept pushing the option of a replacement bike and where very vocal about the fact it would cost me nothing as the costs are met by the other party,
i declined as it was such a short period of time, and the bike was collected, and I waited for a friend to come and pick me up.
the day after I had a message from the driver of the other vehicle saying it wasn't his fault as I had stopped in his blind spot so he couldn't see me when he reversed into me, I passed this onto the insurance company
3 weeks later having had no reply I contacted 4th dimension to enquire what was happening, I was told nothing had moved as the other side were not accepting liability, so it could be a few more weeks. At this point I asked for a replacement bike.
when this was delivered a few days later I thought it odd that they had sent me a 600cc sports style bike as a replacement, as my bike was a 1000cc Adventure style bike, but as this was all new to me I just accepted it, It was only when I read the paperwork that i saw the Registrations on the paperwork didn't match so I rang the delivery driver, who returned looking flustered he sifted through several pieces of paper to then tell me he had delivered the bike meant for me to someone else, so he loaded the 500cc back up and went off to swop it for the bike he had delivered to the wrong person, When he eventually returned he managed to snap the hand guard off the bike whilst unloading it complete shambles !,
over the following weeks i was told from 4th dimension that the other party was now saying that i had rode into the back of him (this being the 3rd version of events he had provided) but that they were confident everything would work out in a week or so later i got a phone call from the mechanic from 4th dimension saying that the cost of repairs they had estimated were close to writing the bike off, he told me that if I agreed to not bother having minor scratches repaired ( for example the bar ends ,foot pegs side stand, crash bars etc ) i would bring the repair costs down and there would be less chance of it being wrote off and more chance of the other side accepting liability . I should have picked up at this point that if the other side were not accepting liability, then why would they be concerned over the costs to repair.
this went on for several more weeks until I got a call from 4th dimension stating that the other party were not accepting any responsibility at all, and as it was his word against mine there was nothing they could do, I pointed out that the other party had quite clearly and obviously changed their version of events from ,full admission to I'd parked in his blind spot to I rode into the back of him, I further pointed out that setting aside the admission at the scene, it was physically impossible for me to both park in his blind spot AND ride into the back of him!
so i said i would be more than happy to take the matter to the courts for them to decide.
I was told that 4th Dimension were not prepared to do this under any circumstances, even though the evidence the other side were lying was there to see.
i then asked what happens next and was told to claim on m y own insurance for the repairs to my bike (£5500) i said no as i had done nothing more than sit on a stationary bike, the reply was astounding , they said "Well either you claim on your own insurance OR we will return your bike UN REPAIRED and that i would be liable for the recovery, storage and replacement fees plus bike hire charges as well as having an unusable bike.
i won't put in here what i thought of that but i am sure you can work it out.
So faced with no other option i claimed SEE PART 2

Ridiculous wait for repair

I had a dropped scooter with some superficial damage and decided to activate an insurance claim through Ageas. They passed my claim to 4th Dimension. Took them two weeks to collect scooter. Now been at their repair centre for two weeks being “triaged” when I called them. Told I’d be contacted. Still waiting and without scooter for a month! Totally unacceptable. I’m complaining to Ageas to get this sorted. Really poor service.

On ye bike

At first things seemed good! Once the bike had been collected by 4th Dimension it quickly deteriorated into bedlam. They love to stretch the claim repair time to coin in lots of money from storage & bike hire. Eventually once they had milked the insurance a very rude driver returned bike damaged ( not fit for road) I am a fully trained technician and everything from mechanical to painting is very low quality. They are the rudest most unqualified people I have ever dealt with. Avoid the stress! use anyone but not these…..

Do not trust 4th dimension.

I am insured with Hastings direct on both my motorcycles, and unfortunately a van reversed back into me and knocked me off, my bike was damaged and so I phoned Hastings direct insurance and reported the details, the next day I got a phone call from a company called 4th dimension, the person I spoke to was very polite and immediately started talking about bike hire, I was thinking to myself that this is very nice to get a bike to ride, I was also asked if any of my bike gear was damaged, I was told that I had the backing of a solicitor so made to believe in not so many words that this would be an easy claim, this got me thinking that this sounds underhanded, I am actually old enough to realise that no matter what you do in todays world you never get something for nothing, and I also didn't have a courtesy bike cover, I was also told that I had the fall back of my insurance but the option to use 4th dimension was the best bet, not only would I not have to pay a penny for the bike hire but it would also wake up the other insurance to settling my claim with the costs of the courtesy bike racking up, it was also portrayed to me that if things didnt work out then they would foot the bill for the bike hire, the person also told me if I didnt use them to recover costs to repair my bike then I would have to go back to Hastings and claim on my insurance, i've been through alot of stress today over this but have learned that 4th dimension aren't a very honest company, they make there money by giving you a hire bike and then dragging it out to make the other insurance company to pick up the bill, it was eventually thanks to a review here further down this page regarding 4th dimension that a person advised the best way forward is to contact the third party insurance company and deal with them direct, and thats what I did, i called direct line and I could not believe how helpful they were, they took details and have agreed to pay for the damage and confirmed in an email, so this would be advice to anyone else, as I have two policys with Hastings I will definitely NOT be renewing with them, my father also has insurance with them and will be changing too, if you get a call from 4th dimension don't believe a word they say, they have all the good excuses because they want your money, listen to the people here in trust pilot, this is why we take the time to write these reviews and that is in hope it you dont experiance the same stress this has caused, do not trust them, they a ripping off the insurance companies charging extortionate fees. if you tell them about the reviews on trust pilot they will deny the reviews and call them all liars, just like they did with me.

Shockingly Bad …

Shockingly poor..

My motorbike was stolen on the 27th July 2022 and found totally burnt out on the 31 July 2022.

I provided 4th Dimension with the details of the company that had retrieved my motorcycle on the 01 August 2022 and heard nothing from them until the 02 September 2022 when they called after my insurance broker contacted them in relation to the length of time it is taking to settle my claim.

From the telephone call I received on the 02 September 2022 they provided me with the information that my motorcycle had been recovered on the 16 August 2022 and was with the engineers awaiting assessment.
It is now the 09 September and I have heard nothing further. My claim is still not settled.

I am non plussed as to what there is to assess. The Police notified me in the 31 July 2022 when they found my motorcycle on fire and that there was nothing left of it, and that they only managed to identify the motorcycle from its chassis number.
What is there to assess?
We are now six weeks on and my claim remains unsettled with no contact from 4th Dimension at all. The silence is deafening.

Having had my motorcycle stolen and burnt out in the first instance is stressful enough without wondering and having to chase 4th Dimension for updates.

I realise that perhaps claims are taking a little longer than normal but the lack of communication and the length of time my claim is taking to settle is causing unnecessary stress and the season for motorcycles is almost over and I have now not had the opportunity to replace my motorcycle.

An insurance company has a contractual obligation to “…pay within a reasonable time…” The Enterprise Act 2016 made it an implied term of every insurance contract (taken out since the 04 May 2017) that the insurer must pay any sums due in respect of an insurance claim within a “reasonable time”. Of course, what constitutes a “reasonable time” will depend on the specific facts and the facts in this case is that it my motorcycle was found totally burnt out on the 31 July 2022. There is nothing to dispute and it seems a pretty straight forward case to me.. so 6 weeks and counting doesn’t constitute a “reasonable time” to me.

My patience has pretty much run out … avoid this company if you don’t want the upset and stress of a stolen motorcycle prolonged.
