I had a very positive experience with…

I had a very positive experience with this service. The doctor was highly professional, thorough, and attentive throughout the consultation. The diagnosis was accurate, and the medication prescribed effectively addressed my health concerns. I’m especially grateful to have access to a service that provides quality medical care through bulk billing. It makes such a difference to be able to speak with a professional doctor without the added financial stress. I would genuinely recommend this service to anyone looking for convenient, caring and affordable medical care.

Unsolicited and wildly inaccurate advice given on an explicitly stated managed condition that had nothing to do with the actual request of the appointment

I booked a phone call for the sole purpose of getting a blood test form. I was told a nurse practitioner could do this. I received the call and explicitly stated that all I was after was a blood test form to check my iron and b12 levels. I answered honestly about my past medical history when doing the intake form with the ai chatbot. When the nurse read the form with my diagnosis (a purely physical condition) he asked “that’s the one where you become anxious and overreact?” I corrected him and explained the condition but also stated I was not needing treatment or advice regarding that. I just wanted to check my iron and b12 levels. I was then told it maybe wouldn’t be a good idea for me to be driving. When I asked why I was given reasons that were about symptoms that are completely inaccurate to my diagnosis one of which being that it’s probably not safe to drive if I’m “emotional”. I told him I have a medical team who oversee my treatment of that condition and they have no concerns for me driving. As well as stating again my condition has nothing to do with emotions. I was then asked why I booked an appointment if I have a medical team. To which I said that just like the AI bot asked there was no available appointments in the coming week for my gp and all I wanted was a blood test form to check my iron. He then asked for my gp’s name and clinic and which I gave him and he told me “we will be sending information to them so if you don’t actually have a gp, we’ll find out”. I had said from the beginning that I had a gp and gave no reason for this to not be believed. I was then asked about treatment options if my iron was low and he stated “will you accept treatment? Because if you’re going to refuse we can’t help you”. I stated that I would be more than happy to be given advice on specific iron supplements if they are needed as I want to treat the issue if it is iron deficiency. I was then asked “so you’ll let your gp do a blood transfusion if needed?” I said “yes, if my iron is low and an *iron infusion* is recommended I would happily do that”. He then asks me about my emotions in a patronising way and when I stated I was fine and just wanted the blood test form, he asked who I wanted the blood test form for? I clarified if he was referring to a gp to send the results to or a specific pathology clinic I wanted. He then asked who the patient was for the blood test. I said it was for myself and asked if he had my details for the form (assuming that’s what he was asking for) and he said yes I have all your information here. Why would I be telling someone about my symptoms and how I want my iron checked so that you would give me a form for like a family member or something? (I did not say this to him and remained polite the entire 10 minute call). He told me the form would be sent to my email and tried to give further unsolicited advice on managing my emotions. I remained polite and ended the conversation by saying “I’m doing fine thanks. Thank you for the form and have a nice day”. When I received the blood test form and took it to a pathology clinic I was told that it was in a weird and unusual format but she would accept it anyway. The form also stated the reason for the blood test was “check up on anaemia”, I explicitly told the nurse when asked if I’m anaemic that I have never been anaemic but have had mild non-anemia iron deficiency in the past and was not even sure if my iron levels were currently low, hence the test to find out. Overall I was very dissatisfied with the specific nurse who continuously tried to give advice on his misunderstanding of a condition I do have but had explicitly stated was only listed on the medical history as the ai asked if I had any medical diagnosis and I was not looking for any treatment or advice surrounding that managed condition and it had no link to my request of a blood test form to check my iron levels.

Love the convenience and wonderful service…

Such an incredibly convenient option for simple routine healthcare needs. The care provided was very thorough- more than expected- and the service was wonderful. So impressed that I could have my appointment within an hour of deciding I needed one! Very helpful as a mum of three little ones where getting to the doctor can be difficult!

I had a great experience with the doctor. They were caring, took the time to ask about my symptoms, and answered all my questions professionally. I was also given clear advice on how to manage my symptoms and what to do for further treatment. I felt listened to and well cared for. Highly recommend this clinic!
