Terrible airport. We arrived on time. Then queued at baggage check-in,security and lastly the longest queue, passport control. Didn't sample any food or drink as we went straight on to boarding. Def... See more

Really bad experience
Really bad experience. The security controls stop a guy for a small bottle for 15 minutes. They call “guardia Civil” end they were no explanation about anything. Really rude and unprofessional. The worst of the worst
Passport control very unorganised
Passport control very unorganised, long wait terrible staff
Unfortunately not the best experience…
Unfortunately not the best experience and I have not ever miss a flight in my life. The information about delays was poor and when we looked again the boarding was finished and everybody was on the plain according to the staff which is crazy since we were there at the closed gate while the plane was still on the ground and delayed and no call for us was made. So this joke cost us 500 euro and no service or information at all… thank you! Malaga is a wonderful city but I’d rather go by car next time… don’t expect any help or information :(. I never “Karen” but this is just awful and incompetent….
Rude staff
All of the passport security staff that i’ve encountered are rude. I queued in the correct line, for “all other passports” and spoke to the officer in spanish. He wasn’t paying any attention to any customers, and only spoke to his colleague. He mocked the way I said gracias and scoffed to his colleague when he handed back my passport (note - I said “grathia” how everyone pronounces it here, i’ve been working here for over a year!!)
Educate stuff
While boarding on flight from Malaga to Amsterdam been asked for passport and visa, stuff obviously don’t know rules, that traveling within Schengen boarding it’s not mandatory to check ID of the passengers, told the young lady its non of her business and boarded.
Please educate your people!
Please educate your people!! What a horrible and very rude secrurity! Don’t forget that tourists are important for your country! People are not well trained to do their job, shame on you. Spanish people your are very unfriendly…
Rude border control
Rude border control, unorganised busy airport, been flying in and out of malaga for 20 years, I always joke I will get a smile this time off their staff.NEVER, and your passport virtually gets thrown at you. went to Alicante for a weekend, WOW what a difference, no queues, absolutely amazing friendly staff, I GOT a smile of border control, and treated with respect. Just goes to show, organised airport, happy staff, come on Malaga get your act together.
By far the most expensive airport ever
By far the most expensive airport ever. 10€ for a mini baguette….. 15€ for 4x4” pizza slice.
Should be ashamed to serve food
Remember to eat before entering this place
Absolutely ZERO information
Absolutely ZERO information, plan, or working wi fi.
Boarder control queues were absolutely…
Boarder control queues were absolutely ridiculous! We got to the airport 2 and a half hours before our flight. We had a big queue to check our bags in, then big queue going through security. But the passport control queue was another level! Over 150 people were waiting when we got in line. Needless to say we missed our flight! Cost us £1000 pound between us to get home. We will never fly from malaga again.
I will never use Malaga Airport again
I had booked wheelchair assistance which should have made it obvious that I had mobility problems. When we arrived from East Midlands I was asked if I could walk from the plane to the end of the airbridge which was not a problem. After a wait of about 20 minutes an electric buggy turned up which only had capacity for about half the disabled passengers who were waiting. Eventually another buggy arrived and we were allowed to board. this took me to baggage reclaim where we were told to disembark. After collecting our cases we found our holiday company rep who told us where our coach was parked, it took almost an hour for me to walk to the coach as there was no assistance available. I will never use Malaga airport again even if that means that a large part of the Spanish coast is no longer available to me.
I lost my phone during security checks
I lost my phone during security checks, I’d got all the way to passport control and realized I wouldn’t be able to check in without my mobile boarding pass, passport control sent me back to security and a really lovely lady came to my assistance, she had found my phone, she could see I was distressed and she was very kind and put me at ease , I don’t know the lady’s name , she was around 5”3 wore glasses and had a lovely smile. I would just like to say thank you so much, you are a credit to your employer. Sue Crook
special assistance
The special assistance here was shocking, I travelled with my autistic son who has severe learning disabilities, the lady on the special assistance desk was very rude made comments about him not being in a wheelchair and can walk so assistance wasn't needed, I had suitcases and my son who will wander off freely she was rude and unhelpful she didn't seem to understand hidden disabilities shocking for someone on the special assistance desk, jet2 asked us why we hadn't had special assistance ( it was already booked with airport and jet2 about a year ago) we weren't the only ones not given extra support due to hidden disabilities, we have travelled through malaga airport before and the service was fantastic, she seemed to only want to help guests in wheelchairs , I really do hope they are shown this review and the lady in question is offered more training
Shambolic passport control
Shambolic passport control. You need to employ more people
Chaos at Málaga airport and staff rude 😡
We arrived at the airport to get our flight back to Newcastle at 8.45am .We checked our cases in at the Airport Assistance desk and were told to go around the corner to clear security.
At 9.45am we were still waiting to go through security. We kept asking what the hold up was and we were told to sit down and wait patiently.
At 10.45am, we were still sitting waiting, but by now there was chaos as loads of passengers were losing their temper. Myself included. Eventually they put us through and when we got to our aircraft everyone was boarded except the passengers like myself who needed assistance. We had 10 minutes to sit as our flight was due to leave at 11.15am. We almost missed our flight due to the terrible attitude of the staff. I complained to one of the assistance team and said their system was crazy. He stepped up to me and became very aggressive, pointing his finger at me. It was like he was talking to a dog.
I will never fly to Málaga again.
Airport with small and short spanish…
Airport with small and short spanish men who wants to feel dominants. Very funny 😄
High praise for Malaga security staff
I cannot thank the Alaga airport security staff enough for their help when I lost my phone going through security. They were so helpful, professional, polite and could not do enough for me to try to find it. Luckily, my phone was handed in and I am so grateful also to the member of public who was very honest. Thank you Malaga security for all your help, you made someone's trip so much better today.
The airport is lovely great selection…
The airport is lovely great selection of shops and restaurants but as for passport control in departures today 1 lady in particular was extremely rude and if I had her name and badge number I'd be reporting her if you don't like your job find another profession simple
Valuables stolen by baggage handlers…
I'm sorry to say that a speaker and some gold earrings were stolen from my hold luggage by baggage handlers while they were removing a phone battery charger. My fault for packing the battery, but not an excuse to ransack my case. Another necklace was broken in the search, parts of it strewn everywhere. They ask via the airline staff (in this case, Vueling) for your permission to open your bag, then take stuff. Not much you can do about it, and I'm sure the airline staff are aware of the situation. Shame 😔
In duty free one minute and ended up back in arrivals
Went through security and duty free in Malaga airport. Took an escalator down beside duty free and ended back in arrivals. This took less than a minute, Boarding cards wouldn't work as had already been through 5 mins before. Then had to explain the duty free. Needless to say missed the flight. But could not find the way back from the boarding gate to arrivals this time and no one to ask. Still can not understand how easy one wrong move landed me back in arrivals.
