Terrible airport. We arrived on time. Then queued at baggage check-in,security and lastly the longest queue, passport control. Didn't sample any food or drink as we went straight on to boarding. Def... See more

Terrible handling of passport control
Terrible handling of passport control . Yes I allowed plenty of time to go through passport control once the gate was announced but it was a complete mess. In the EU side adverts of using the automated control system that were quick and effective were a waste as they were not activated and they haven’t been for last 6 months when I have been through.
Only 2 windows were opened to deal with a long queue where everyone was getting worried about missing the plane. My friends who went through the non EU queue were quicker than me and I nearly miss my plane as the gate was closing by the time I managed to get there, only because of the kindness of some passengers who allowed me to jump a few places in the queue . So stressful!

Very poor customer experience, would not advise traveling through this airport if you are British .
Q for passport control was well over 400 yards ,took over 1 hour to get through ,hardly any inspectors on duty .
Rude passport official
Today, sadly, our experience at Malaga Airport was a nightmare. The queue for Gate C was so long, people were beginning to panic that they would miss their flight. Then, finally, our passport was stamped by the slowest and rudest official ever. He was so slow the colleague next to him was clearly unhappy and he threw the passport at everyone. So sad that the final experience of this beautiful country is tarnished by someone who clearly should not be doing this job. He appeared older than his colleagues so maybe retirement beckons.

Málaga Airport May as well close all its shops as the queue to gates A,B and C stretched for 400 yards yesterday. Only 2 passport control officers preset and a host of electronic passport control machines inoperable! Most UK flights delayed as a result. Rubbish! Try learning from Newcastle airport . Deplane, collect luggage and through Imigration in 15 minutes Next time I’ll fly to GiB and catch a bus to the Costa

Awful experience every year travelling through this airport, rude staff and chaos.
We used special assistance from Malaga…
We used special assistance from Malaga to Palma our experience was outstanding, the staff were very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble, we waited approximately 3mins from our initial contact to being assisted helped with luggage, were patient with slow mobility waited for a toilet stop and escorted to the plane made conversation and could not have done anything more. Thankyou for help making our trip flawless
Disabled assistance is awful
Disabled assistance is awful. Just have some wheelchairs people can borrow. Just because we are disabled doesn’t mean we don’t want to look around duty free or get a coffee. Sitting for 2 hours in one place just to wait for someone to collect you with a wheelchair for your flight is not helpful. Please be better.
Passport control on arrival was a…
Passport control on arrival was a disaster. Only 1 officer checking all passengers in EU queue. 2nd officer in booth looking at queue but laughing and joking with 1st officer and not interested in reducing the queue . Took over 40 mins. Ironically the 🇬🇧 and other queue was moving much quicker.
Extremely unprofessional experience
Extremely unprofessional experience. Staff were unfriendly and barely spoke English. We were wrongly told our gate changed to D72 — only to find it was for a different flight. No one informed us it had switched back to D46. If I hadn’t checked the app, we would’ve missed our flight. Unacceptable at an international airport.
MEAN!
Condescending, rude, and unorganized. Came from an airport where electronics were not supposed to be removed from bags during security. Here apparently you must remove them, but not once were we informed. So, they sent my mother back to the end of the line without explaining the problem, and laughed at her face when she tried to get answers. All we wanted was to know why.
Dismal Experience :
Dismal Experience :
It took ages to check with TUI - standing for well over an hour to check in desk .
Then get through security/ not too bad only to be met by a huge Q for passport control / relax in duty free ; go shopping; have a coffee - not a chance / the Q was the longest I have experienced in my life - separate Q for EU passport holders - not a chance - a quite dismal experience.
This was then followed by a very poor boarding on our TUI flight - waiting in Q - waiting in boarding corridor with no information- incredibly poor service. Hated it
Rudest security staff EVER got called…
Rudest security staff EVER got called stupid by security woman for not understanding her accent, She obviously hates people so in wrong job,EasyJet staff sat there no engagement whatsoever
Then told in hot kitchen we couldn’t have milk with English tea as it’s extra charge after paying 4 euros
WORST AIRPORT IVE EVER BEEN TO

Malaga airport
Malaga airport.
bag check in. was given different times by staff on desk for bag check in.
was told my passport was not matching my country of origin. they had to make some telephone calls despite me providing back up evidence of flying details. i was supporting two vulnerable adults one child with autism and one with Adhd. again they took one of the vulnerable adults aside in front of everyone in boarding que as they could not determine their country of orgin from passport to their computer system.
we had priority boarding and assisted boarding rhat went out rhe window as once bag checked in we were sent on our way alone to security despite rhem wearing identity badges displaying their disability. on boarding flights we were taken out of que and told to stand at ine side whilst they again questioned our passports. very bad ending to a holiday. I hope someone in authority at this airport can see the weak links in SOME of the non proffesional staff who work there defo need more training on social interaction with the public using this airport.. this happened during non busy times.

Bad experience today…not been to this airport for 11 years. Went through security on the way back in with my two young children, had all of my bags emptied, drug checked me and the kids..sent me back through to the end of the queue with an iPad which was suppose to be in a tray so had to leave my children and go back..went back through and the iPad disappeared and got stacked missing in one of the empty trays. Not impressed and won’t be returning here again for a long while. Complete terrible airport. Stressed me right out what with the kids in tow

used the assisted travel provided by the airport (aena) and the service provided was excellent. staff very attentive, helpful, polite and friendly. nothing was too much for them and all very happy and chatty people. could not fault the service provided.👏👏
Malaga airport
Malaga airport was clean. All staff were helpful and friendly. Airport security was quick and helpful no queues
Bad experience …..
This is by far my worst experience…. The passport control area was terrible …. Landed at 11:15, no word of lie, I got to passport control at 1:45….. so many flights coming in…. Imagine traveling with young kids….. I became sick because of the 2hrs plus of standing ….. the signs are confusing …. Staffs aren’t friendly …. I couldn’t wait to leave the airport….babies, elderly, children , kids, queuing up like cars at a park….. it was really sad …
TLC NEEDED
La boutique sports bar were very friendly and average prices for airports however the tables and floor area nearby where we sat were absolutely filthy and in need of some TLC. The glass on barriers (for safety) had not been cleaned in a long while ; maybe since Covid !!!
A littlle refresh is most definatly needed
Shambles
Shambles. Far too many flights arriving at once, Passport control like a human car park!
Rude rude rude
Rude rude rude. By far the worst experience of security. They were clearly aggrieved that they had to work on a Saturday night. No communication and talking negatively about passengers who they knew didn’t understand Spanish.
