Just renewed my policy
Just renewed my policy. It had increased significantly (26 percent) despite a supposed 20 percent loyalty discount.
Called and spoke to first advisor (male) who didn’t seem too interested just said it was because of how things are in the world. I then checked price as a new customer to find the increase dropped significantly so rang back and was able to get it at that price.
The second advisor was excellent.

Our premiums are calculated using a range of factors, including medical information, destination, trip details, and current market conditions. While the 20% loyalty discount is applied to the base premium before medical factors and Insurance Premium Tax are added, this does not always mean the overall premium will be lower than a previous year's policy. As we work on a live market, prices can change and are only valid at the time a quote is generated.
We're pleased to hear that when you called back, our second advisor was able to assist you and help secure a more competitive premium. We also appreciate your comments regarding your first call and will review this feedback internally, as we always strive to provide clear and helpful explanations to our customers.

I bought travel insurance on line, but the next day I remembered I'd missed off something medical.
