Beware of this SCAM called trial period. I was required to cancel trial period on 1/6-which I did in the morning only to get charged $29.99 that night. Reached out to customer service - no response for a week and then an email that told me to read their terms of service. Reached out a second time-same response. Believe the reviews!!! Stay away from the trial period cause there is no such thing! Besides the fact - cards are lousy!
Horrible Customer Service / Not Interested in Customer Retention!
I signed up to use their services to send holiday cards to all my LinkedIn connections as I had done twice in the past years. After trying to export my contacts to their site to send out cards, I found that they no longer support this feature. I immediately requested a refund via explaining the reason for my request. A customer rep replied to my email stating that they do not issue refunds. I again reached out to customer service explaining that I had requested to cancel my account, that it had not been done, and that I had not received ANY services for the money I paid, and that I do not wish to use them going forward. Again, I was told they don't issue refunds for any reason, but that they would cancel my account immediately. Based on other reviews I've read, their customer service is horrible and their features pale in comparison to other websites offering the same services. The amount I was requesting was less than $10 but it seems they weren't interested in retaining my business! I will never do business with them again!

I am a part time merchandiser. After telling us to work our tails off at Christmas time to get out all product and make the stores look nice, we just got the notice last week that they are cutting our hours until March! I can’t live on three hours of work a week!!!

Please don't join American Greetings online. They cheat you and charge you even when you cancel within the trial period. They also kied about the fee when I called. It is not $6.99 as I was told but $29.99.

It's a wonderful service, WHEN it works
It's a wonderful service, WHEN it works, but if you have any trouble logging in or sending a card, the customer support is virtually worthless. Maybe maybe two or three days later you get what I believe is a bot with instructions on how to login and those instructions are worthless. I had the service for a year, and was logged out at least three times and could never get satisfactory response. Someone in this company needs to step up to the plate and get these deficiencies fixed.

American Greetings, while they do send notices of upcoming renewals, do not mention the ridiculous price that, were it provided, would be a definite point-of-persuasion to cancel!
It simply is not worth that price, especially if it is not used much. It's a waste of money!!

There is no option to customize the name of the recipient unless it is listed in their drop down menu. For example, I wanted a card for my friend Lil but that isn't an option

I have been extremely happy with a subscriptions for years, today I’m ready to cancel. Instead of letting me copy a link for texting, etc a card was sent to a list of people I did not want to have the card. There was no previous information explaining this to me.

REALLY disappointed in the subscription process. Seems a bit deceptive how they make the option to unsubscribe obscure. I would not recommend them as there are many other reputable companies offering the same service and a significantly better customer experience.
Costly mistake of a service
I signed up for a free trial as was clearly advertised on their website at the time. When a lot of the people I tried sending a card too never received it, I stopped the trial. I was charged for the whole year and they refused to refund. Beware this company practices.

I’ve been a customer for almost a year now. There is no way the annual subscription cost could ever pay for all the joy, smiles, laughs & happiness I have shared continuously with family & friends. The selection continues to grow & astound me - will definitely renew next year!!!
Their site doesn't work at all!
I have been a continuous paid member of their site since 2017 and have sent countless greetings and gift cards to my recipients. As of two days ago, their site no longer works, at all!
I attempted to send a Birthday e-card to my brother-in-law on Saturday, 8-12-2023, but it would not allow me to. It kept asking me to sign-in even though I was already signed in. It just brought up an almost blank page every time I tried until I just gave up and went elsewhere.
The same thing happened just now! I was attempting to send a 52 year Anniversary e-card to my sister and the same thing happens. I can't send it!
Thinking it might be a cookie problem, I went into Chrome and added their site to allow every cookie they use along with third party cookies, and it still brings up the "do you accept cookies on our site" banner on the bottom of every page with every page reload!
I went into the area where it allows you to adjust your cookie settings in your account and turned on every option. Then, cleared the site from my browser history and reloaded it only to again see the "accept cookie" banner on the bottom of the page. After going back into the cookie preferences area, I saw that all of my previous settings were again turned off!
These are not the first two times this has happened. It happens periodically and it is extremely frustrating when you need to get an e-card out in a hurry and it won't work, despite them charging me money every year, the amount of which they do not provide!
I am fed up with this happening and will revert back to buying cards individually and sending them snail-mail.
I will be cancelling my account as soon as I can, although, they stop you from doing even that unless you are within two months of your payment date. Total crap! :(
