I don't understand, why all the negative?
Used this site to send one ecard which was claimed would be free if subscribtion cancelled within given period, this was found to be true.
With the low trust rating I was, of course a bit concerned but went ahead using paypal as I knew that this allowed me to cancel any future payments easily.
But this wasn't necessary as the sites subscription cancellation function was easy to use and worked well.
The card recipient was very pleased with it so that was a big plus, so I'm very happy with a successful free transaction.
With the confidence gained with my first use I will use this site again but allow first payment to be made before cancelling subscription as I was so pleased with the outcome.
SCAM.. Run away!
SCAM... Absolutely the worst business I have ever dealt with. I have tried to cancel their services and thought it was done and then... AGAIN they charged my PayPal account $29.99! Tried to call and got into a web of recordings for Medicare... what!?!; never was able to speak with a human. PayPal was/is absolutely no help as they help to perpetrate this scam by telling you to contact AG which is... as PayPal already knows...
impossible!
If only the interview process would…
If only the interview process would have been honest, I would have said thank you, but no thanks! I had so many damaged relationships with various stores because of either the corporate office or because of management it was a fulltime job repairing them. The corporate sales department does not coordinate with the individual companies you are assigned to and they do not FYI them on the product American Greetings is putting out. Needless to say your assigned stores are angry and YOU are left to deal with management and sooth them (do not expect your field supervisor to assist in the least). I had several stores reach out to corporate management to no avail for various reasons, such as, too much product or unnecessary product, or product they felt their clients wanted, which management specifically ignored or just said to me “tell them we don’t do that”. My personal belief,I think the dinosaur that American Greetings is will eventually go to the wayside as most dinosaurs do.
I love your site
I love your site! My Birthdays/anniversaries/address books are all organized.
I also like the options for customizing the message including appearance.
Hallmark dumped Ecards, 123 Greetings wanted to know everything down to your blood type.
American Greetings is minimally invasive!
American Greetings ripped me off
American Greetings ripped me off, as well as others as you can see from all the bad ratings. Their "trial period" is not a trial even though I cancelled before the trial period was over. It's a scam to get $20 bucks out of anyone who signs up for a trial because they know most people only use it for one card then cancel so they get a free e-card sent. OK. So instead of playing games, offer a one-time use, say $8.00.
But the way it is now, the only greeting card AG should get; "You're going out of business! So happy for your loss!"
The website is slow
The website is very slow. I had to spend hours to create a simple video. I would never pay for that.
Avoid - take your money in free trial - shocking customer service
If there was an option to give no stars, I would have chosen it. I signed up for a trial offer and the next day they took money from my account. Took a month to get the money back and when I did I didn’t get the same amount. This was due to me being in UK and the exchange rates on the day they shouldn’t have taken the money and the day it was refunded being different. The bank also charged for the transaction each time. American Greetings take no responsibility for this and won’t offer any further monetary refund even though it was their fault in the first place by taking the money! Avoid, avoid, avoid!
American Greetings ecards scam
Like many others here, I feel completely ripped off by American Greetings ecards. Do not fall for their 7 day trial offer... it is near impossible to cancel their Auto renew payments. After several attempts, I finally got an acknowledgement from their customer service but no mention of refund. Sorry to see a time-honored trusted company like American Greetings submit customers to such underhanded tactics.
I love your cards ....they are…
I love your cards ....they are beautiful and neaningful. I have one complaint: I would like to see the address book in alphabetical order, especially when a new contact is added. Is that possible to do?
they say free test trial, but won't…
they say free test trial, but won't honor that. i cancelled within the time limit and was still charged. just a good ripeoff.

"Free" trial goes to paid and almost impossible to cancel.
Seriously where are your edifying cards? Tired of nasty insinuations!
Seriously, maybe you should write on your cards "adult content" so us who are not familiar with sexual content music do not spend $10 on a card for an autistic child.
Autistic child like the music and movement cards bring but you have to make the nasty! After I bought the card "in a world full of Kale smoothies" and the bouncing milkshake grab their attention. It was not until I really heard the words when I got home it was cursing and insinuations.
So disappoint with American Greetings. Might want to change you tagline. THIS IS NOT "THOUGHTFUL AND CARING".
Terrible Customer Service
I highly advice you DO NOT sign up with this company. There is no way to cancel your account own your own. I have sent 3 requests to cancel my account with zero response. Read the rest of the reviews below, and you will quickly see that the 7-day free trial will end up with your credit/debit/PayPal account being charged regardless of you cancelling your account.
Report and complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau.
DO NOT register with these people, they will rip you off
What an absolute con!
Registered for a FREE trial, but now I don't want to continue but they refused to communicate with me, and have tried THREE times to take paymeyments from my Card.
DO NOT register for a FREE trial......it's NOT FREE, and jusyt a load of hassle
Eating humble pie
One star because I can't leave a minus unfortunately .

These people are STILL taking money out of my account .
PayPal requesting me to take the matter up with this company , but they are uncontactable in my experience.
Steer WELL clear of American Greetings.com. this company appears to be a scam .
................
OK . I now send heartfelt apologies to American Greetings.com . I followed up my rant on trustpilot with a scathing email to this company , more in hope than expectation , but have received exemplary help to resolve my issue , and a refund has been paid into my account .
Again , I apologise to this company , and unreservedly recommend their customer service department for solving my issue with courtesy and professionalism .

Total scam company , avoid at all costs. will be reporting to proper authorities.
American Greetings cards have now…
American Greetings cards have now become politically biased and when I attempted to voice a complaint they refused to publish it on two separate occasions When you try to contact them at the email address provided, it goes to a no reply box. If you can't take criticism, you can't take my money. Will be insisting on a refund for the balance of the term.
This review is for the e-card service.
This review is for the e-card service.
1-Does not work with all browsers
2-In many cases e-cards get routed to recipients spam folder..they have no reasonable workaround
3-Requested pro-rated refund...instead they canceled the account that still had over a year's prepayment applied to it. AND NO REFUND.
4-IMO the employees are clueless, and business practices suspect.
SCAM - DO NOT USE
I requested to cancel my free trial couple of days before the trial period ended. No response and my card was charged. I contacted again asking to have the charge refunded - nothing. Avoid this scam company at all costs.
I have called many times complaining…
I have called many times complaining about being unable to print cards. I was given all sorts of reasons why it won't print. Margins, paper, printer, search engines. You name it! No one could help me. I am so disappointed and sad that no one know anything.
