If I could give less than 1 star i would.i cancelled my subscription as per their instructions on leaf. The notification stated my account was cancelled but valid until the end of the payment period as expected. But then they arbitrarily renewed it one month later without authority , are stating their policy says they need two days notice before the renewal date to get a refund which I could not do because it was cancelled

Awful customer service experience. I started getting cryptic error messages in timelines like "! Something went wrong" and some records coming back with "n undefined". Customer service just gave me the usual runaround of telling me it's my device, it's the cache, it's cookies, it's an adblocker. They said if the android app was working fine that proved my windows browsers were the problem. Really?!! Then asked me to fill in a huge report: Steps to reproduce the problem, URLs, device type etc. I refused and ended the chat. Waited 5 minutes and things started working again without any intervention on my part. The problem was their end. Customer service is all about convincing you that you are the problem and everything at their end is fine, which it is because they've already got your money.
Edit after reply:
It's great that you use AI to generate patronising replies. A loading error wouldn't show up across multiple different browsers at different times. Making it sound like I'm getting frustrated because I "just want things to work" is a further insult to my intelligence. I now know better than to warn you of technical problems with your site. I'll certainly be looking for alternatives in the future.

A good tool for searching family links and information that you'd never gain accurately through conversation and recollection, but a little too expensive for continuous use over a long period of time.

I have been using Ancestry for years and love the fact that it's getting a bigger repository of databases to use to explore my roots and branches, as I would not be able to travel all over the globe to carry out in person research.

A great genealogy site to further your findings into past generations to reveal more about yourself and what made you. I recommend Ancestry.

Is is so fun finding minute details about my ancestors, and finding them also in America and Australia. I never though a white british woman like me, would have a dna match to an australian aboriginal female. And then finding i had a distant cousin from London, going to Utah USA in the 1840s as a mormon convert, that ended up with 6 wives and 37 children!!!!!

Some people may consider £7.99 a lot of money but to me it's worth every penny to be able to see how my shared matches relate to each other. And as new pro tools are added it gets more interesting and helps add life to my trees.
