We have used appetito for over 3 years now service users enjoy it and it helps my kitchen staff alot also if staff call in sick last minute my care staff can deal with it as it it easy enough to use also we have taster days when I request them when new dishes are bought out

the food is really good, the residents eat very well, Apetito cater for all our residents, they make all levels of food.
The blended meals look appetizing
Lewis is very helpful and you can always get in contact with him, nothing is too much trouble and he will always sort things out straight away

I couldn't be happier with the quality/range and service that Apetito provide. Our Residents look forward to their dining experiences daily and the continuity throughout this past year has been faultless. 5/5

My 92 year old mother really enjoys the food but since she has dementia, the fact that her lunch rarely arrives before 1.40 has made her even more confused. I received a very pleasant reply from the company apologising but stating that there is nothing they can do as she's about the last one on the round. They said it wouldn't be possible to make another round as I'd suggested. If I could find an alternative company who could deliver earlier, I would definitely use them.......
All packaging was melted on all of the five deliverys and food was dryed up and inedible.
Surely not appropriate for my mother who has just undergone bowl surgery.
Possible now poisoned with plastics .
I photo evidence but can't post this .

From the offset called and left a message called again left and spoke to someone. They delivered the first day only half turned up, delivered the next day no problem, following day they didn't bother to show up! They have given no reason for this just said oh sorry, not good enough!
Christmas day i cancelled boxing day they came but never left my fathers meal.
I spoke to them apparently they are not allowed to leave the meal.
They deliver between 11.00 and 2.30 so 3 and half hours of not being able to go anywhere everyday.
The meals where ok but staff not great head office is shocking no customer service at all.

My Father gets regular meals from Apetito and they are of a reasonable quality (small but OK for a pensioner) and the drivers are friendly. However the back office is absolutely non existent. They do not answer the phone or reply to emails. So if you want to change or check something it is completely impossible. If I could find an alternatively I would stop using them tomorrow. Update - Apetito have messaged me telling me to call 01225 75966 but this number does not exist. Could not make it up. Further Update - Apetito have updated their answer with the correct phone number with no acknowledgment that they gave a number that does not exist to begin with. Even less impressed.

A lady i care for has these meals, they look unappetising and she often complains they are cold. They are a very small portion. She also does not get the meals that she wants. The lady who delivered today was unhelpful and rude and just walked off and told her to go on the website....

My elderly frail neighbour had there delivery today driver pulled up did not sanitise his hands did not put a mask on got the meal from the boot walked down the path into my neighbours home then come out no mask worn not hands sanitised then drove off to his next vulnerable person oblivious to being in a pandemic how many visits has this idiot done so very wrong called the head office don’t have any confidence this will change and people wonder why this virus spreads

They really let my family down. Their delivery times were appalling and we had to cancel them and we are now looking for an alternative company who keep their promise.

A very disappointing service from Apetito. We had great expectations from this company and despite very clear instructions around our requirements and their agreement that they could deliver, they went from one extreme of hot meals being delivered well past 2pm to the other extreme of hot dinner meals being delivered before 11am. My mother has dementia and the service they provided us was a long long way from workable or acceptable. This bigger disappointment is that the management of Apetito have failed on every occasion to acknowledge or provide any updates or apologies. I see from previous customers that this seems to be the norm from Apetito. We are still trying to recover from the upset this has caused. Will be interested to see the management from Apetito make any acknowledgement in light of this trust pilot update? I will provide a further update once we have sourced alternative solution as this seems to be a problem experienced by many.

The meals arrived at different times (I understand it’s not always easy to stick exactly to a time) My mother didn’t like the meals and hardly ever ate them. Over two months after we stopped the meals they wrote to us and said we owed them £75 even though we paid weekly for these, I can’t see how we could have missed two weeks payments and to notify us two months later it wasn’t easy to check as I hadn’t made a note of dates. We were ordering on a casual basis from week to week so not sure how that could happen. Make sure all instructions are done on email so you have a paper trail. The desserts didn’t look too bad but some of the meals that my mother left were unrecognisable.
Absolutely useless, arrived delivering meals during covid epidemic, no mask no gloves.............then laughed when asked to leave. Don't think much of their customers.
Terrible service, my mum has had continuous late meals and one day last week they had no tea box for her either and the driver had to go to the shop and buy her some sandwiches and a cake
These are the uk's vulnerable adults this company are taking care of and something need to be done about the service they provide
I have now made a official complaint and if it does not improve I will be getting in touch with cqc.
Update
I have contacted your complaints department and all I have got is a email off a person called Tash and a load of excuses in a email not even a phone call

.Very poor quality ready meals preheated. If you are happy with this sort of food and have the storage room you would be better of buying ready meals from a supermarket. The description of the meals is often very deceiving and is often difficult of impossible to find what is supposed too be the main ingredient. in the meal, for example they list a peach and apricot desert, when you get it it looks more like milk. On reading the label I found it was about 5% fruit and 95% milk in some shape or for form, in my view this is fraud. Don't go near them unless you are desperate.
Mum always had meals delivered Wednesday to Sunday, Monday & Tuesday she joined other friends in her sheltered accommodation for a communal meal. On Friday I telephoned Apetito to increase meals 7 days a week, due to the coronavirus. I was assured this would commence from today Monday 16th. The warden has telephoned that no meal has been delivered (mum is 95 yrs old). I telephoned Apetito & was informed that a meal had not been requested. When i pursued this I was told by Paul that he was not there on Friday, so it wasn't him. No alternative was offered & from now on, I am to request an email confirmation. This is not the first time! Poor mum, she will have to wait until I return from work at 6.30 & can prepare her something hot! Please make sure that you get confirmation in writing, in order to avoid this happening to your loved ones. Especially during these next few weeks when we will need to rely on this type of service more.

Our main reason for taking the service was that Mum would get a regular welfare check as we lived more than 2 hours away from her. She moaned about the price of the meals ( comparing them with Iceland ) but actually was secretly happy to get the daily contact as she was struggling to get out and about.
Sadly, she was found dead after a no response meal delivery but it turned out that there was a no response 2 days before and I was not contacted and I don't think social services were contacted either.
Apetito are following up on what happened but I would have major concerns on relying on them to see if your relative is OK.
Could Apetito have prevented her death .... we might never know.
The worst job I have ever worked for they are only out to make money don't care about the people who provide it for them or there customers and don't help with the day to day running for the employees and allways giving out wrong food which could make diabetes and gluten free ill we are made to work on days off and sick days taking extra rounds and told you have to do them making meals shockingly late and sending drivers out delivering meals meant for dinner at 2pm getting there at 4 or 5 pm how can the council allow these cowboys to deliver a professional service with medioka manegment
I can't seem to get hold of anyone getting passed to different people I've had to give up. Thank you for your reply and sorting it out

Apetito were at the Care Roadshow yesterday where I had the chance to sample some of their food.
Pork loin and cheesy mash was lovely, the lamb curry and rice was delicious and the sticky toffee pudding was ruddy excellent.
Was served by a really nice chap called Rhys Walker Brown.
