Total Shambles
My Dad ordered a model of the Titanic which was received and paid for. They sent another model which my Dad didn't want or request so I called them to find out how to send it back. Person I spoke to was a bit bullish and was hesitant to give me return details although I got a freepost address from him eventually. Goods were returned and I requested that nothing further was sent and the account was closed. My dad received a further delivery which he refused and advised return to sender. He called them to advise that money had been taken from his account in payment and that he had returned two items. The advisor said they would check and arrange a relevant refund. That was approximately a week ago. He has received his bank statement today and two payments have been taken for items either not received or returned and no money in refund. What are Atlas playing at? How difficult is it to act upon a customers request when they don't want items and want to close an account? I want a representative of the company to look into this and contact me to sort this out. I do not want any further items sent to my Dad and want his money refunded and account closed.

Very poor.. But customer service advisor on here seems to be sorting...
Very poor... Had received an introductory offer item and then cancelled my membership. Despite this I have since received other letters asking payments for items which I have not received. I paid the bill in order stop the legal action.i also made a complaint and it was agreed after various conversations that I would receive a refund. I provided the requested information for this to be done but 3 weeks later and still no refund. Their email asked for patience and that it may take 2 weeks. I waited that period and have now emailed them twice to ask where the refund is.... I havent had a reply to either. I would avoid.
Update as below...
Thank you for your help Jack. Thats kind and actually the best customer service I've had from AE. I've given an extra star for that alone. Thanks for resolving.

Not recommended....
Do not use! Call centre abroad & cannot understand English. Randomly take money from bank accounts & deny all knowledge of it. Then send letters saying we owe them money! Trying to claim my money back!
Update - after Atlas have admitted that they have taken £36.96 extra from my account I still haven't received a refund after 6 days; also no response regarding £18.50 postal order sent to them!
Update 2 - still no refund after 3 calls to foreign call centre after 2 weeks waiting!
Update 3 - still no refund after a further 10 days despite what was written by Jack Pyke, customer service phone line is now dead
We have received a cheque for £18.50 but not a refund for the further £36.96 which was taken from our account

I received a reminder informing me that …
I received a reminder informing me that a payment was over due. I returned the reminder with a note pointing out that the cheque I sent had been paid in and quoted the cheque number. Now I have received a second reminder which additionally claims they have not heard from me and threatens extra charges!! I have no intention of paying twice for an item. Atlas need to get their systems in order and stop harrassing long standing customers who pay their invoices promptly.

I too have had letters from CCS Collect for a sum of £23.48 that I don't owe. I purchased the Lancaster Bomber in 2015 and paid £1.99 by cheque. I included a note to say i wanted to cancel the order, but I received more unsolicited deliveries from this company and had to return them all. Now, 2 years later I get letters to say i owe them money which is ridiculous, I DON'T !!!!. I kept cancelling by email and by phone and the deliveries eventually stopped about 3 months later.
I've emailed customer services, but their answers are not helpful in the slightest and have not even responded to my last email over a week ago.
I used to be a very good customer with Atlas Editions spending hundreds of pounds with them over the years and they treat me like this.
Letters can keep coming from the collection agency, but I'm not paying for something i don't have.

One star is generous.
One star for Atlas customer service is generous! My name has also been passed to the CCS debt collection agency for money which I do not owe.
I applied for the introductory offer - I received the invoice but no parcel attached. I cancelled the collection as entitled to, but received two further models which I returned and an invoice for a fourth model - again no parcel attached. I have sent numerous emails, letters, summarised my position a number of times, been told that there is nothing they can do, and then that my case has been sent for analysis. This has been going on now for more than a year. My customer number changed in the middle of everything and they keep thanking me for my patience! The whole thing has been a shambles, I am at the end of my tether and it is such a pity as many years ago I received a lovely complete collection of models from Atlas and nothing went wrong.

Great if you want to buy something
Great if you want to buy something, that can be done without having to talk to anyone but if you call the helpline you get a foreign national who can barely understand you or you them. I had an item sent to me that i did not order and haven't received the item i DID order. I tried the helpline and eventually got the idea that there was a freepost returns label in the box but there wasn't. An e-mail asking how to return the item i didn't order f.o.c has gone unanswered despite a week of waiting for the, 'reply in 24hrs' .
I have now sent a further e-mail telling Atlas that due to their lack of communication i shall not pay any invoices they may send!

I am so glad I have read these reviews …
I am so glad I have read these reviews before I placed my order. (I consider myself one of the lucky ones from what I have read) Any company that claims to be Uk when in fact their head office is in Switzerland also instantly put me off as I have had a previous bad experience with a different company, but who also bullied for payment of cancelled service with many letters from debt collector. Never paid a penny! This makes me so angry because it was my partner's father who asked me to order online after he had try to place the order himself over the phone unsuccessfully as they said they would ring him back and they never did. He tried a couple more times but couldn't get through so then asked me.
I agree that ONE star sounds too much.
I agree one star is too much! I have sent the following message to customer services: 'Having had life saving surgery twice in this past year I had not been aware of the amount of money going out of my account. Although I notice looking back into my accounts that the bank have stopped paying out in these last three months! How did they know my wishes! I will pay the £56.94 online on the contractual understanding that it is the last payment that you will receive whether you send any further goods or not this is a statement that the contract has formally ended between us and that any further goods sent or received will be deemed to be superfluous and gratuitous. Brian Austen 20th May 2017.
Am I likely to be receiving and not opening a stream of packages that will gather dust! It would not surprise me if someone stated as being a fact that the left and the right sides of this company (supply/payment) deliberately don't communicate with each other!

Just received a letter from CCS Collect …
Just received a letter from CCS Collect on behalf of Atlas Editions. I had been collecting the Eddie Stobart lorries but after Atlas stopped taking payments and demanded £164.62 which seemed excessive for the number of lorries received I told them to cancel the orders. Due to circumstances at home I paid the "outstanding balance" as I didn't have time to look into this in much detail. However, following this latest letter demanding £91.50 to stop further action and reading other reviews, I feel this company are a bunch of con artists who will not be receiving anymore money from me. They definitely need to be reported to Trading Standards and closed down!

Absolutely disgusted targeting my 70 year old dad
I didn't even want to rate this dispicable company even 1 Star, the customer service has been absolutely shocking. Over the last 2 years, I have tried to close my dad's account along with my 70 year old dad, but to no avail. Time and again, my dad has received payment reminders and yesterday, a threat that the courts will now become involved. My dad rung me in tears scared and worried that bailiffs would turn up. I am absolutely disgusted. My dad sent a cheque after not getting anywhere disputing Atlas Editions request for payment for models he did not want, yet this has not been acknowledged. I'm at a loss what to do, as you NEVER answer your phone, acknowledge emails or letters. I'm going to Trading Standards as you need to be shut down.

Like many others I have problems with …
Like many others I have problems with this company. I signed up for their Classic Coaches collection and duly received and paid by cheque for the first three coaches. Although a delivery was promised every four weeks the delivery period between the 1st & 2nd and the 2nd & 3rd was 21days and 14 days. On 9th January 2016 I emailed to cancel further deliveries which was acknowledged by Atlas but stating that a delivery had been despatched on the 5th January which was not actually received until the 26th with an invoice dated 14th January. It became obvious that dates have been manipulated to include one last item which I had cancelled in good time. I emailed Atlas on 9th February to inform them of these facts and requesting instructions to return the item - no response. I received a payment reminder dated 8th April received 12th May !! I wrote to Atlas on 13th May again outlining the facts - No response. Another reminder dated 2/6/16 was received 26/6/16 and a final reminder 23/9/16 arrived on 7/11/16 - not sure which calendar they get their dates from!! On 12/5/17 I receive a letter from CCS Collect in which they threaten further action if the debt of £23.48 is not paid within 7 days....I have no intention of paying.

Do not get involved with this company.
Do not get involved with this company - Appalling customer service.
Got a single model from Atlas editions and it looked as if a five year old had put it together. The quality was shockingly bad.
I called them and cancelled my account and thought nothing of it. 9 months later I get a letter from a company called ccscollect acting on their behalf. They were claiming £38.46 for I'm not sure what.
After I cancelled the account a further two models arrived. I immediately contacted Atlas to tell them to collect the unwanted models. They remained uncollected to this day.
Further to this review and Atlas asking me to contact them. My customer number is 30471985 I think. I got this from an old email. I can be contacted on 07518003100

I like to unpack the models and display them in a cabinet. I now find that the models are attached with triangular headed screws which I cannot undo. Is there a tool you provide so these can be undone. What was wrong with the Philips type ? When I receive a model from you, I would also like to know what the next model is going to be. I joined to collect Stobart Rail models, but have now been sent a bus and an airport truck even though there are rail models I don't have yet.

I am writing on behalf of my Brother in-law for whom I administer a Trust as he is registered as a Vulnerable Adult for HMRC). He has been harassed for payment by Atlas Editions since 5th November, 2016 for publications that he has never ordered or received and in spite of sending a written letter explaining this and requesting details of the order, they have now passed the claimed 'debt' onto their CCS Debt collection agency. I strongly advise anyone considering using this Company to consider very carefully their level of customer service ( my Brother in-law spent half hour on the 'phone trying to contact them with no success as well as sending written correspondence, with no response!)
