Very bad expérience
Very bad expérience. It began with no hello when picking us up. Unfriendly and unprofessional.
I took the option with all insurance and to be fully covered.
When we return the car, they tried the key manually and it didn t work. They said it has been forced and that it a very common situation in Puglia. And of course for THAT situation and only that I wasn t covered. Obviously I never opened the car manually and I had no way to prove that the key hasn t been checked when taking the car.

Rental Experience in Sicily
The vehicle we were provided was excellent for our travels. It was comfortable, easy to drive and excellent on fuel economy. Our check out process was easy and the employee who helped us was amazing. Thoroughly explained everything about the rental agreement and what to do when returning the car. Easy return since we had to drop it off before they were open and the drop off process was simple.

We would like to clarify that, as clearly stated in our terms and conditions, our rental vehicles are provided under a full-to-full fuel policy. This means that the vehicle is delivered with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same fuel level.
If, during the return inspection, the fuel level is not the same as at the beginning of the rental, customers are required to refill the missing amount accordingly. This procedure applies equally to all customers and ensures a fair and transparent service.

delay getting the car
I booked the car for 10 a.m., but then had to wait an hour before I could take it over. I was given a larger car than I had reserved, which is not an advantage in Sicily and its cities, with their many very narrow streets — quite the opposite. Otherwise, the car was fine, except that the windscreen wipers had very poor blades, so in heavy rain you could hardly see through the windscreen. The return was then very uncomplicated and completed quickly.

Regarding the vehicle provided, we would like to clarify that we guarantee the reserved vehicle category, not a specific make or model. Depending on availability, customers may receive a different vehicle within the same category or, when possible, an upgrade to a larger vehicle.
We also appreciate your comment regarding the windscreen wipers and will take your feedback into consideration to further improve our vehicle checks before each rental.

Extremely easy collection and drop off. We'd heard a lot of bad reports about car hire in Sicily and that people thought they were scammed out of money, but this wasn't the case with Automania. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
