Ava Bracelet Reviews 

While my Ava didn't always identify my ovulation date correctly, the data it collected allowed me to confirm ovulation and I really appreciated all of the metrics to paint the whole picture. It was a key part of my 3+ year fertility journey and I plan to use it through pregnancy too!

The first time my husband and I tried to get pregnant we tried for months tracking my temperature and using an app to track ovulation. After 11 months of trying, we ordered the Ava watch. After 2 months of the Ava watch collecting my data, we got pregnant! Fast forward 2 years, we knew we wanted to start trying for a second child. I started wearing the watch 2 months before we started trying so the watch could sync my data again. Sure enough we got pregnant on the first try!!! My cycle has never been crazy out of whack, but it’s never been clockwork, either. If we didn’t have the Ava watch, I don’t know how long it would take us to get pregnant. We are so thankful we had it as a resource to grow our family!!

Awful experience.

Great marketing, terrible app. The app doesn't work, and the Bluetooth connection is absolutely a nightmare. I reset my bracelet several times, and after wearing for three nights, still doesn't work. I got extremely frustrated so such a poor experience.

I asked for a return, and this was the response I received: "We're sorry to hear you'd like to return your Ava for a refund. As Ava is a medical device, we will only accept a return if the Ava is new, unopened, and with the seal still securely in place. "

Please don't waste your money with this company.

I would not recommend purchasing this if you are trying to get pregnant. There are so many other products on the market that I wish I had bought instead that track helpful data. The only helpful data that the bracelet captures is temperature and you can take that with a thermometer. Only once out of six months did it detect that I had ovulated. I felt the need after 6 months to supplement with other apps and with ovulation strips. When using ovulation strips, the Ava bracelet was incorrect about when I ovulated.

I loved using the watch, daily, until it stopped syncing. After five months, the watch just crapped out.
The ovulation estimation never fully matched up with my ovulation test strips, but it was a useful guide.

Ultimately Ava did not correctly identify my ovulation day. I was TTC for two months but tracking for a year prior. The two months I was trying, Ava predicted my ovulation 3 days later than what I ended up identifying with LH test strips. I DO NOT think this is necessarily a flaw on Ava’s part, as my body temperature fluctuates a lot.

However, I found that Ava provided me tons of insight into my cycle. I found that their customer service is fantastic. I wish the bracelet was more durable, particularly the band.

LH testing and BBT tracking are also an option if you are unsure about the financial investment of an Ava bracelet.

I liked knowing it would take my bbt, pulse rate and breathing rate. However it is not helpful for those of us on irregular cycles as it continued to assume the first input on #of days in a cycle. Didn’t seem to be able to adjust easily. I also didn’t like that it didn’t take into account my most recent cycle (which was when I became pregnant, so it didn’t read that last cycles data on #of days in a cycle).

Makes tracking ovulation easy! Convenient and reliable.

The whole set up... So thorough and science based.

I purchased the Ava Bracelet in December of 2021 after struggling to conceive with hopes it would make it easier. I purchased the basic package (no guarantee) because it’s expensive enough as is. At first it worked great and I was hopeful. After a couple months it started having connection issues. Almost every night I would have to sync the bracelet again when I put it on. Then, in the morning there would be a problem reading the data. Then, I would get notifications saying I need to wear it more consistently to get results - not my fault it would never sync. Additionally, the rubber the band is made of started wearing out about 6 months in, and is now almost completely fallen apart. Unfortunately, it’s past my warranty window, if that would even be covered. All that to say that I would not recommend spending your money on this product. I wish I hadn’t.

I like the bracelet for tracking BBT and sleep, but the app only works for predicting your fertile window if you have a 28 day cycle. The bracelet costs too much for the app to be so behind technologically.
If the app adjusted your fertile window with LH tests or even let you manually change it, it would be a game changer.

The Bracelet band broke quickly and I was sent replacement loops for free but they broke again and I didnt feel like dealing with the hassle. Also, I paid for the plan that would give me a refund if I wasn't pregnant in 6 months and didnt fill out the paperwork in the correct timeframe so I wasted my money. I do like that the bracelet measures BBT while you sleep but I honestly wonder about the accuracy and obviously it wasn't the reason I ended up getting pregnant. It should only be used as a tool for measuring BBT

The bracelet quickly falls apart and is barely usable. It is very finicky with actually reading data. Sometimes it will not track for that evening and gives you no information as to why. It is very frustrating for an expensive tool to not do what it claims to do. It also doesn't track sleep well. It will say I slept very well when I know I was up for an hour straight. If you are looking for peace of mind while trying to conceive, DO NOT purchase this item.

I like the insight it provides. But I stopped wearing it because it would consistently log me out and then told me my password was wrong. So I’d reset it and then it would still tell me it was wrong. Happened a lot.

Poor customer service. I’ve been waiting on a replacement strap so that I can actually USE my Ava bracelet for the past 6 weeks. Keep being fobbed off with excuses about warehouse issues. If you search the internet- there are hundreds of complaints where issues are unanswered. No idea what’s going on at AVA but I will be logging a complaint with the MHRA as this is a medical device and I would suggest others do too- so the appropriate regulators can investigate.

The bracelet on the ava device was really uncomfortable and the little peice that held the strap in place broke early on. There were also a number of nights where it said it didn't have sufficient reading even though I wore it for 6+ hours and it was fully charged. I like the idea of the technology and the data insights but found that because the band was uncomfortable I didn't like putting it on.

I didn’t like the technical difficulties - sometimes the watch didn’t charge fully or it wasn’t on my wrist in the right way - so then it didn’t record the data. I also didn’t like that I had to plug my watch in a sink with my phone right when I woke up - just kinda felt wrong being tied to all that technology all the time.

Also, I wish ovulation tracking was part of the Ava algorithm.

I purchased at the beginning of July 2022. I quickly received the bracelet and started using it. It worked for a few weeks and then stopped working. I reached out at that point at the end of August, got an automated response and never heard from someone. I placed another request on the website in early September about two weeks after my first request for help, and I direct messaged them on Instagram stating I wanted to avoid going directly to social media, as I was sure it could just be replaced and the problem would be solved. I again did not hear from anyone and received another automated message. I continued to direct message and got no response, despite the messages being "seen" by the company. At this point I began reading several complaints on their Instagram account, and I chimed in that I was having the same issues and not hearing back from customer service. In mid-October I received a message requesting that I do some troubleshooting of the device, which I did. I then responded to that message as they requested stating that I did the trouble shooting and that it did not work and requested a refund at this point, as it had been nearly 3 months since my initial request for help. Since I responded to that email, I have not heard back from anyone and it is now November 6 (4 months from the time I purchased the bracelet). I went back on their Instagram today, and all of the complaints and requests for help that people had posted (including me) have been removed by Ava Women. This has been a complete waste of money, time, energy, and frustration. I'm incredibly disappointed from so many angles, and I have yet to hear back from anyone. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, and I'm searching out other consumer complaint services. I generally don't write reviews, but I had to share my horrible experience with Ava Women. This has been some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. It has been a complete scam, and now I'm out $300. My recommendation would be to stay far, far away from this company. It's not worth the money and it's surely not worth the frustration and the continuous let-down.
