Expensive outdoor tennis costs
Disappointed at the cost of the outdoor tennis courts. £10 an hour but an extra £5 to have the lights switched on!
My nearest tennis club is 40 minutes away and charges £25 a year with £5 an hours play. No Better Bodmin tennis membership unless you book lessons or pay monthly club membership fees. I don’t need lessons.

We understand and empathise with your disappointment regarding the pricing of the Tennis courts.
Please note that Tennis is not included in our Memberships across our Better facilities.
Our court fees help us to fund and improve the ongoing services we offer, support our GLL Literary and Sports Foundation, provide Supported Memberships for our refugee customers, as well as discounted Memberships for those eligible.
Regarding the £5.00 fee, we wouldn't require customers to pay this for the lights to be switched on.
This fee was likely regarding the additional individual you brought along to your booking, or the cost to hire the racquets for that session.

I was looking to join a new Gym
I was looking to join a new Gym, though my work benefits I was entitled to a discount at Better Health Bodmin.
At first I wasn’t sure on how to apply this discount, however after visiting Better Health Bodmin, Hayley was a massive help guiding me through the online process.
Hayley is an absolute credit to the leisure centre, really appreciated the additional support.
The leisure centre itself it brilliant, never too busy and the gym is well equipped .

Adult Tennis Lessons - Great Fun
I attended my first tennis lesson for beginners earlier this week. It was very enjoyable, the trainers were excellent, it all run very smoothly and I am looking forward to many more sessions. I was not aware that Better was a charitable enterprise, I attended the Bodmin centre and thought it looked in great shape.

Disabled access doors have broken
Disabled access doors have broken, lift broken which makes it very difficult for a wheelchair user especially as she has to go outside and round the centre to enter. I walked her to her van and was soaked by the rain. No working hairdryers to use after swimming, showers very cold and some do not work at all. Some staff are stroppy and rude. The Manager is good but fighting a losing battle money wise as repairs are desperately needed on the building and some departments.

Such good fitness classes snd instructors. Clean. Lovely reception staff.
Down side - very cold in fitness class room I colder months. Over 65 membership not available. Over 65s pay the same as full time working.people.

My daughter attended both swimming and tennis sessions at Bodmin Leisure. Only stopping because we moved away. It’s a fantastic facility with really wonderful knowledgeable caring staff.

I use the centre regularly and I enjoy use of the gym and pickleball.
I enjoy the social side of using Better, I have made friends at the gym and at pickleball, whilst keeping physically well at the same time too.
The whole team at the sport centre are brilliant and supportive.
I recommend pickleball to anyone.
